These ones where you tell a fairy tale store are my very favorite. I replay the Mermaid, Snow White, and Cinderella all the time. They’re my safe space for sleep
Thank you for watching out for us, even though we are strangers. It matters. And, as the comments are already showing, we truly appreciate it. Sending all good things to you, Rebecca and sweet little Timmy.❤
I'm very thankful for you today🙏 have struggled tonight with sad news😪 you really do help my insomnia . If I listen to your amazing stories, I feel as relaxed and calm 🙏 bless you❤
Thank you ❤. I love the older original stories but sometimes they need to be altered because they can be brutal and I'm so thankful you made things more pleasant 💖.
Your videos are truly incredible, Stephen! Nothing helps me sleep like your soothing voice 😴 Also, I can’t thank you enough for the thought and time you take to let us know about RU-vid’s timer and to turn off auto play- You’ve saved me many times with this reminder 😅
Thank you again for helping me through another hard ninight. Yesterday our dog, Maickey, died suddenly while chasing a rabbit. My husband was watching and saw him go down as what we believe was an aneurysm ruptured. It was so fast. I was able to get to Mickey quicker and was with him as he passed. Mickey was a Great Pyrenees and a trained therapy dog who helped others near death and children. He was also my guard dog. I imagine him now with our first two dogs, chasing rabbits together. Thanks to you Stephen and everyone else for letting me have the privilege of telling you about Mickey. ❤
I really enjoyed how you read the tale of The Little Mermaid. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I fell asleep before the end, so I will have to listen again for your customized ending.
I would absolutely LOVEEEEE more of these classic fairytale stories told with your wonderful spin on it , I'm alternating between a few and I was sooo excited to see BATB and now TLM!!!? both some of my favorites,, for this one fell asleep without finishing the story of course because you truly are the best at what you do Stephen ,, all this to say I'm back to see if I can't catch the end of this lovely story before I drift off 🧜🏻♀️🌊🩵✨💙
Hey, Stephen! I have bad CPTSD and would have nightmares every night, but I've been listening to your videos just about every night for a few months and I've noticed that my nightmares have been decreasing! At least, they must not be as intense since I can't remember them as well if they happen at all. Thank you for what you do. I had a couple story suggestions-- sorry if they've already been done!: 1.) Going back in time to the Jurassic period and living amongst/viewing the lives of dinosaurs. A RU-vidr named "Studio" has made incredible ambiance that maybe you could try and replicate! 2.) Traveling the Silk Road and seeing all the different people and cultures 3.) Anything relating to Native American folklore or life. I would love a story about the Jackalope 4.) Being friends with a kind dragon in a fantasy world and flying around on their back 5.) A child and their imaginary friend go on an adventure in their closet that leads them to a magical world, sort've like Narnia
I like the silk road idea and the Narnia.. I feel for you, I also have CPTSD/ terrible nightmares. I read your comment and it actually reminded me to take my night meds, lol. They work somewhat until early mornings. However, one night after a story, I had a dream about meeting Stephen's family (after his theatre story). It was lovely! All the best, keep listening. I also listen to yoga nidra too at times when I get bad anxiety 😊
I didn’t think I would love these old-fashioned fairy tales so much, but I do! They are so different than the Disney versions we grew up with, which is so interesting to me. Where did you get the old original ones? A few of my childhood favourites, hope you can do one of these if you’re up for it: - Hansel & Gretel (Brothers Grimm) - Mother Holle (Brothers Grimm) - Little Red Riding Hood (Brothers Grimm) - Rumpelstiltskin (Brothers Grimm) - The Nightingale (Andersen) - The Red Shoes (Andersen) - The Snow Queen (Andersen) The Snow Queen was my favorite, my grandparents had a movie and I was so scared yet interested in it as a little girl. Most acclaimed fairy tales are from the Grimm brothers, but Andersen is an amazing storyteller as well!
Loving this so much ❤ the extremely talented artist in you creates the most wonderful pieces of art !!! I listen to you ever night… if I’m allowed to make a suggestion: our sleepy village is in desperate need of a cozy, relaxing midnight spa 🤩
I second that idea!! that'd be such a great addition to the village 💕,,, also I love that often one of us commenters will have a great idea for a suggestion an Stephen hears us and delivers with his honestly magic way of weaving words into comforting worlds to drift off into. Its just such a sweet, genuine community both of and FOR people who want/need help to find that inner peace in order to do so. Sweetest dreams to ya stranger ^^ I hope we both get to hear ur lovely idea for a relaxing adventure at the new midnight spa in our village of sleep 🌌🌌💙💙✨✨
I would love more story’s about sleep places like the bookshop and the city of sleep. I love the immersive ones also such as the hotels and cafes ♥️. You help me sleep everynigt . I even repeat stories♥️
I think people like your sleep 💤 stories as we haven't heard them before ..so it's different from the fairy stories we were brought up on .. However my mum loved to make stories up one was about a girl who went to sleep and her toys would come alive the tin soldier's..the teddy bear with one eye ect ...another one was about a little old lady who went on magical trips with her dog and cat with the budgie in a cage ...xx
