A Real Day in My Life Living Alone (how I actually feel) 

I think for introverts, sometimes living alone can be dangerous territory because we can end up being so comfortable with it, and I sometimes find it even harder to be around others for longer periods when I'm so used to being myself. That being said, I do think cultivating a good relationship with yourself is the most important relationship to invest in

The only thing I didn’t like is that the video is too short. Other than that, loved it!

I love living alone. Visiting people close to me can be refreshing, but ultimately I always look forward to locking myself up in my own little world :)

There is a French saying that I believe exists in every culture: “It’s better to be alone than in bad company”... 😊

Ask me. I think I have lived very successfully and happily all my life living alone and now I am 71 and I still enjoy it even more than before.

Living alone really shows you who you are

I love the authenticity that you have, Lana, in practically all of your videos that I have ever seen. It’s a distinguishable contrast between other RU-vidrs who encourage rapid spontaneity in their videos to keep their audience hooked. You keep us hooked by *showing* us your story in a variety of changing clips that doesn’t come across as “keeping us entertained,” but rather. . . As just another human being sharing their thoughts with us. Said another way, in an editing style that really matches the personality you come across showing us. I don’t know if I am in a position to suggest any particular “constructive feedback” as I really do love your style, Lana! It comes across as having a conversation rather than simply being “told” something. Just my thoughts! I really appreciated your video is all! 🙂

Hearing that so many Swedes live alone was interesting for me. I felt very comfortable in Stockholm, like there was zero judgment spending the entire day by myself. I remember eating alone in a restaurant in New York City a few years ago and getting stared at. I wondered why people were staring. If you could unpack what it is about Sweden that makes people so comfortable with solitude, I’d enjoy hearing about that 😊

Love that you documented your day off, Lana. I feel like in today's world, where everyone is constantly trying to be productive, we tend to forget that taking a day to recharge can be the best move to be productive in the long term! 💛🙌

Sometimes, you need to be alone. Not to be lonely, but to enjoy your free time being yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. And you learn a lot about yourself ❤️🙏🏽

The introvert in me says, ah alone at last. Investing in appreciating being single, working on spiritual growth in order to better help others. I cannot make it without God alone first!

I love the way you emphasize how living alone can affect our habits and standards. I just moved back with my parents while I shop for my first house. When I buy the house I'll likely be living alone. I loved everything about this video. As someone else said, living alone can become problematic for some people, in particular, if they are introverts already. However, I really like the freedom to follow your inner pace in daily activities.

I find due to this Pandemic Everyone is feeling a little strange, but as long as you realize it’s normal to feel a like lonely at this time your good. I find your voice very calming no matter what your talking about. ❤️

I was wondering like, “where are the people like me?”. Well, I think you’re one of them. I mean, I deleted my social medias, live alone, taking a walk alone. Who does that these days? - I never see people around my age in my country (at least) doing stuffs like that. But I do enjoy the time at this point in my life.

It's great to be reminded that low key moments are just as important in life as the ones where you're working hard.

Being alone is quite peaceful but also very addicting. Trust me, I know how it feels. I did that for 2 months during the pandemic. No work, laying in bed the whole day everyday for 2 months, except when I would cook food or go out for groceries. You lose connection with reality, and your goals and life just feels empty. When your mind is not in the right place, it kinda throws you off rhythm and your left swinging for the fence the whole time. I had zero motivation to do anything and it still affects me today when I try to get some tasks done. You know when you are trying do work and then take a quick break, and then ends up wasting a whole hour without even realizing it. But even to this day I don't regret taking that time off. Though being like a potato is very addicting, it was also very powerful and helped me developing a sense of realization of what I usually just do on a daily basis and how I often spend my time doing certain stuff that may not seem very uplifting. It left me in a state of trance, from where I had to pick myself back up and throw myself back into system. I enjoyed that time while it lasted, but you gotta work when you have to work.

You are literally my dream woman. Not trying to simp or anything, it's just that you have qualities I would look for in a relationship.

This was really comforting. Being the youngest of 4 siblings, I am left in our parents house. My parents stay in a different house as well, making me the only one left in this house. And it's so dark and quiet.

I think everyone should live alone at least once. It really helps us to get to know ourselves and appreciate the value of our own time and money. Which makes us less likely to squander either of them.

I barely get bored even I'm home 😂 because I can find so much things to lol, including things that I do for fun or things I need to do lol.

I would have liked to see your actual entire day. I mean, this was good but, actually showing yourself doing your daily chores/work etc. throughout the entire day would have been better.

I love when around 5mins30seconds you said that you usually don’t get bored; this is so true, especially considering that being an introvert we find ways to keep ourselves entertained without needing much interaction from other people. My girlfriend asks me how I’m dealing so well with the lockdown, it’s just how it is, I love staying home and doing my own things, with her or alone.

Being alone can feel really lonely and boring at times, but it's also a great time to work on yourself and improve your life. That's what I'm currently doing, even though I feel my life is pretty good. There are always things that can improve.

These videos remind me that you can always just go create your own reality away from the insanity if you really want to.

I've been living alone for last 3 months too, ad it's been a combination of so many feelings ranging from loneliness and depression to outright joy and gratitude for life and having my own space to just be myself. Most of my family and friends have excommunicated me because they just don't understand why I would move away from my wife, son, mother and sister to be alone. I don't even have a couch or TV, partly because of money but also because I just want to be productive instead of killing time simply consuming for the sake of it. I feel living alone is perfect for introverts like us but like all things in life you need balance. So getting out there to socialise/try new things/activities/ hobbies is crucial to your mental health. Even if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Also, no one ever warned me that having to do EVERYTHING yourself eats up A LOT of time, so i totally get why you opted for the take-away and Netflix for the night. Living alone has taught me how to budget and appreciate every single dollar (I'm living off apprentice wages), how to value my time (doing a social media detox), I'm reading, meditating, journaling and lifting weights like an absolute demon and it's slowly changing my life for the better. I don't really have many people to talk to so I'm just ranting here really. All I want to say is, if you're still living at home with parents or you're stuck somewhere in a relationship or something that you feel is weighing you down, just take some calculated steps and look towards being alone, even if it's just for a while. It could be a few steps backwards temporarily but it will accelerate your growth like crazy and you'll be so surprised at how in tune with yourself you'll be!

My only criticism about this video is that it was too short. Other than that, I loved this format.
