You speak and write two languages, You run a Friesian horse stable, You train horses and deliver foals, You can spot when a horse is having problems, You figure out pastures during a rainy summer, You recognize individual horses in herds of all black horses, Your horses are happy, You understand a very complicated inspection process, You have a successful RU-vid channel, You produce nice, informative videos, You have taken us on horse rides, You upload videos on a very frequent basis, You sell merchandise, You are loved in your community, You're a mom and a wife… I think your cognitive abilities are far superior than most of us.
Reintje is a real cool Mem. No unnecessary fuss. She usually keeps her calm what ever the situation. - Like there at the clinic, she started eating right away. She sure protects her foals if needed - but she is very good at telling when such an occasion is present and when not.
It is amazing how well Reintje, Saly....all the horses, understand that Yvonne is there to care for them...horses are, evidently, not only food motivated.....they understand love!
Dear girl…beautiful soul. You’ve come so far. You’re a walking miracle. Never doubt it. You bring so much joy and happiness to many, many MANY people. Thank you for the love, encouragement and commitment you constantly give. ✨🙏🏼💖✨
Poor sweet Baukje it is never easy watching our 4 legged babies struggle & the toughest part is they can’t tell us exactly what they’re going through, seeing her roll goes straight to the heart & makes you want to reach through the screen & take away her discomfort. It makes me feel much better knowing that B is home again and back to her cheeky self Yvonne please don’t doubt yourself or think you aren’t or didn’t do enough you are an excellent horse guardian and I’m always in awe of both your skills & commitment to your herd.🖤🐎🤗❤️🩹
It's so scary, how quickly an animal's health can deteriorate with certain conditions. If only we could get them to clearly signal us, as soon as they feel discomfort or pain. Instead we have to watch them like a hawk to not miss any little sign 🫣
You can tell Baukfe doesn't feel well .... clinging to Reintje & her facial expression lying on the hay. Good thing she has Yvonne looking after her who doesn't wait to call the Veterinarian!!! ❤❤❤🐴🐴🐎🐎
Hey Grandma Sherry. Long time, no see! Glad to see you commenting again. But maybe I just missed your comments. The channel has grown & I can’t read everything anymore!
Anyone who has ever had children knows how quickly they can get sick out of nowhere. It occurs to me that it is the same with Horses. They're fine until they're not. I'm just glad that Yvonne has her Friesian Horses in the Country that basically created them. Excellent Vets & Emergency Clinics are nearby. A sick Foal could not be in a better place. Thankfully, Yvonne can spot the signs of illness right away, and she knows exactly what to do. Goedzo, Yvonne! 🦸♀️ + 🐎 = Yvonne Horjus 👁 💙 Friesian 🐎🐎🐎 Channel!!!
..and they always seem to happen at night....whilst alone, so terrifying to deal with....but Yvonne handles it! ( raising horses is, evidently, not for the fainthearted...)
I believe that Yvonne...and The Herd, will always have this flash back, the memory of Queen UNIEK' s demise, every time another one of Yvonne' s horses is not well... The memory of UNIEK is always here... And the fear of losing another.... BUT, along with Yvonne, we SHALL stay positive, which is all we can do... Yvonne Horjus is a very strong woman..and her herd is also strong.... To happier days! 🖖🍀💐🌱🌤️🍏🍾🥂 and to happy, healthy horses! 🍎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🍎
I have a very strong feeling that Guardian Angel Uniek 🪽 watched over, sweet baby Baukje, and Reintje, and came to comfort Yvonne during the long nights.🌛❤
Colic is one of the scariest ailments of a horse. Thankfully, you were there and spotted it so quickly. A lot of people easily miss the subtle signs of it. I'm glad she recovered thanks to the excellent care from you and the clinic. ❣❣
Yvonne' s horses have been saved on 3 occasions, mostly because she has interacted with them, one on one, from their birth.....and carefully checks them each and every day! Because they are gently reared, this is easy to do...there is trust!
Yvonne, your sharp observation of the foals shines through here. Little Baukje would have been so much worse if your instincts hadn’t told you that something was very wrong. You’re an amazing horsewoman xxxxxx
🧡🧡So many SuperThanks in the comments!! Thank you to you ALL!! We try to respond to each one individually but just in case any are missed (under any video) PLEASE know how much it is appreciated! If you can't give...no problem!! Watch and like the videos, and leave Yvonne a nice comment about Baukje. 🧡🧡🤗🤗🧡🧡
I am in tears here, poor little Baukje. So relieved to know that Baukje is better and they are both coming home. Thank goodness you are so quick to pick up on something wrong so quickly, you saved Baukje's life with your quick thinking. So happy to see them at home again and all the horses welcomed them home too💖
The love of our animals is what keeps us going in the painful times. I used to ride when I was younger and just love horses. My favorite being the beautiful Friesian horse. But, I didn’t have the financial means to care for them in my adult life. Since I was a child I always wanted a Great Dane. They are costly. They have health issues and because of their size their life span is very short. An American Great Dane lives 7 to 10 years. A European Great Dane lives 6 to 8 years. I grieve terribly with each one that has died. The on I have now, my Duke is 6.5 years old and is a European Dane. He has some arthritis pain but overall is still in good health. And when my precious Duke passes and the grieving has subsided I will get another one. No matter how painful it is I can’t live without a Great Dane in my life. Like you sweet Yvonne it’s the love, the passion, the dedication that keeps us going. ❤
@catsara9114 & @RachelRitzmann-r3g RIGHT?? My friend had a horse we rode every weekend & he was like that. He would wrap his head around her when she hugged his neck & cried. How wonderful to see a foal do it at such a young age ... because they love her so much.
Animals can be so empathetic at times. Some pick up on our emotions and try to comfort us. I know my Maine coon cats do with me. Baukje and Blomke both seem sensitive that way too. What a lucky friend you had to grow up with a horse to lean on So glad Blomke was there to comfort Yvonne. 🐎❤️😻
It's completely natural you would worry after leaving Uniek there and getting the awful phone call that she was worse. In English, we have a saying: "no news is good news". Hopefully Baukje will recover under yours and Reintje's loving care.
Dear Yvonne 💞is showing the sad and hard parts of horse ownership - caring for your sick horses 🐴 The foals are like toddlers - all they can tell you is that something is wrong but not what hurts 💔 I'm so happy that little Baujke is feeling better 🖤 and back home ❣
Baukje is such a pretty and sweet little foal. Yvonne is a natural mom and her instincts are so sharp to pick up when one of her babies is not well. Thank god this worked out well. However, the vet bills must be substantial. I am glad I signed up for the monthly coffee donation a few days ago. I would encourage anyone who is a regular viewer to try help with any donation no matter how small. We all get so much enjoyment from watching Yvonne and her horses and family it is good if we can help out now and then to show our appreciation.
Watching little Baukje's struggles hurt my heart. Thank the Lord that Yvonne was quick so see something was wrong, and to call the vet. Those intensive care facilities are amazing, and they save many lives. Its wonderful, knowing that Baukje is well, and that she & Reintje are home at Stal H once again. Your videos are so real, Yvonne. You don't gloss over the problems or your fears. This is life with horses. Thank you for keeping us so well informed. God bless you all! 🙏🏼❣️🐴🐎🌺
Oh dear Lord what a horrible night that must of been for you. When Baukje went to the concrete to roll, my heart dropped. Thank you for knowing your horses so well. You knew something was up. God bless you.
You said cognitive perfectly. You are very watchful of your herd, so you immediately notice that Baukje isn't feeling well. I'm so glad you got her to the vet right away. We know she's okay because you told us previously that she is. Thank God. Thanks for sharing with us the good and the bad--the reality of keeping horses.
Baukje looked so happy to be home with mama Yvonne. It seemed she was saying “thank you for fixing my belly.” Praying for a future of healthy animals and humans at Stahl Horjus.
Oh, little, sweet Baukje. She is so young and just adorable. She seems so vulnerable and it just breaks your heart. Thank God Reintje is experienced! What a wonderful mama! 🥰
Our 4 legged family members always seem to know exactly how to scare the living daylights out of us & keep us awake worrying especially when they are experiencing immense pain I’ve been through something similar with 2 of my dogs spending nights up with them trying to manage their pain and it’s not something I’d wish upon anyone it’s beyond scary. Yvonne is one of the strongest most bad ass women I’ve ever seen and though no doubt this brought memories of dear Uniek racing back she took this all in stride immediately making sure to get B the help she needed.
Seeing Baukje clearly in pain brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad you edited this video to end with Baukje back home, looking, and feeling better! For the viewers, the heartache and worry lasted minutes, but for you it lasted days, Yvonne. Hugs!!! Your English is fantastic! Your videos show how much work you put in to explain and inform your "herd" to what is happening in your life and with your lovely horses! Praying for you in your accident recovery, for the health and happiness of family, friends, and Friesians!! I'm so very happy you're alive and here!!
Yes, Yvonne, be patient with yourself, especially when you are tending to sick horses or children, and have had little sleep. Even us without a brain injury, we will have difficulty putting the words together, and in our native language.
You have come very far in the time since your accident. Hard work, a supportive environment and your stubborn nature have all helped. We love you and your videos even as you worry about your English and cognitive issues. I hope that the rehab can help you make things a little easier.
Dear Yvonne, This is a virtual hug. ((hug)) Your heart must have hurt so much going to the vet. You are an amazing lady. Never doubt yourself. Sending love your way. Robi
@@robertajack2783 That was so sweet, Robi....I am still so upset, having just watched this video..cannot think of words of comfort... Luckily, these scarey matters happened awhile back, but that in no way, negates their importance. As Yvonne said, " There is always something happening, with horses!"
Look at that baby nuzzling you .... thanking you for helping her & taking away that awful pain!! You could SEE how happy Reintje was to get home & her daughter healthy again!! 😂😅GOEDZO YVONNE!!! Goedzo 🐴🐴🐴🐎🐎🐎🐎❤️💕💖
I love a happy ending. Prayers that this doesn't happen again. Reintje is such a good mom, so sweet and allowing. She knows you were working to help Baukje. God bless you all!
Even knowing that Baukje recovers, this is a heartbreaking video to watch! It was obvious that something wasn't right. Tears fell when she dropped on the cement! Thanks to the vets who treated her!🥰
Risey and Yfke are teenage besties: They bicker sometimes, but ultimately they stick together through thick and thin ❤ Now watching the rest of the video. My heart is in my throat for Baukje...
I am so very proud of Reintje, how she stayed calm and let every help her foal. So very, very, very scary after losing Uniek not long ago. My heart aches for you, Yvonne. 💔 I would have fallen apart and been hysterically crying. Your strength is amazing.
Dear Yvonne, you are a golden woman you control so many different things with a rare excellence you spend so much time taking care of your animals that you are able to see at first glance that something is wrong This is also why they trust you so much, they know they are safe Of course it is the same with your family This is why we, your spectators, are loyal to you and always more numerous Don't change anything
Yvonne, life with horses is a daily microcosm of a full lifetime - all the joys and sorrows at the same time. As we get older, we learn this is what life is and all we have is each other and love. You are a walking miracle, and I thank you for sharing all of this with us. Huge Hugs from your human herd.
OMG I wanted to leap into the screen and give a big hug of support ,through all this stress and worry. It never just rains for Yvonne it always seems to pour. This is a Aussie saying we have when things a going wrong. My heart is so happy that it all worked out this time. Such bad memories for you having to go the emergency vet clinic again. You always try your best to explain in English for us, which is appreciated from the bottom of my heart. I send you strength and love for next week at the rehab clinic. 🌻 Looking forward to seeing Belle strut her stuff, with those beautiful long legs from her MUM. 🥰
Don't worry, you're doing great! You're English is excellent, just take your time..Love your videos with your beautiful Horse Family and, of course, your Human Family..❤Prayers for you..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🌟🐴🐴🐴🐴
Poor, sweet, beautiful Baukje. I am so glad that she has weathered this storm in her short life. She looks so much better and more alert and bright in the end of the video, as does Yvonne
Horses!!! Make you old sometimes but on the flip side is the ultimate joy they give us. Grateful Baujke looks so good after this ordeal. The sweetest is when both foals nuzzle up to Yvonne. It’s the best!
Poor Baukje-- she must have been in so much pain to be acting so strangely. It is hard to watch even now, even knowing that it turns out ok. Poor little girl, and poor Yvonne with all the worry! Carrots coming your way.
Thank you, Yvonne. Remember, we all have, or will have, something. Mine’s epilepsy. You’re doing your best, your English is great; remember how far you’ve come! We think you’re great!
Absolutely. Yvonne is such an inspiration to me. Following a car accident my health is deteriorating. What an incredible woman, wife, mother & equestrian Yvonne is. Her English is fantastic. Above all, I love her commitment to her beautiful horses. Yvonne, you are force of nature and an example of love & caring to us all. Much love to you, your family (4-legged & 2)❤
