Been using it for probably 6 or more activations now. Even though the improved HAMRS version is out. In my humble opinion POLO is superior. Any ideas when beta testing will be over and when it hit the market? Thanks
I could do that if I make another video on it. You will have to subscribe and see. Otherwise I would just join the Ham2K Discord and test it if I was in your shoes.
I see I made it to another video !! lol I am also playing with the app but I haven't used it yet on an activation. It would have helped from making the mistake of Naming the file correctly but I inverted the last to numbers in the log. Having the parks near you come up in the app is great. I will be tring it out on my next activation.. I had a station from China call me on one of my activations, good thing I was by myself as I danced at the picnic table.. LOL 73 Steve VE1SK
You have made it to quite a lot of my videos Steve. Having some DX always makes for great content. I even noticed that the app had changed on the activation I did after this, so it's a pretty hefty release pace at the moment.
Thanks for taking us along, that was fun. Congrats on Japan! If I could import adif into HAMRS I’d use it for everything, but I’ve done too much logging with other stuff. CQRlog seems to break pretty regularly for me. I’m going to try KLog. As a neophyte Linux user, it may become my daily logger for the shack.
PoLo is only for Android and iOS, and not for Linux. It is also a very specialized logger for portable use. I actually don't know what would be good as a Linux logger, but I will look into it when I have time.
Awesome activation with Japan! 👏 I've only used app once in anger so far, and found it to be great. Really good when chasing down some park to parks to just be able to select spots and have details filled in.
