Thank you for your video. I just started learning HTML and CSS by signing up to this guy who puts out videos and I'm picking up the basic concepts. I'm learning the simple things and eventually learning more complicated things. I like it and I'm hoping to quit my regular job to do this as my main job.
You're amazing! 😄 I'm also a software engineer (Java, Python) and I think we have a lot in common, like going to the gym after work and even a vitamin D deficiency! 😅 You're doing a great job and thank you for this video! ☺
I don't understand how people think a 2020 MacBook is old. Maybe it's just me, but MacBooks last for literally years. I remember I bought my first MacBook in 2010 and used it until 2017.
It's great to see another video from you Mia! Sure you've been "MIA" but considering how much time and work your job entails, I think that's to be expected! Video quality has been getting better too. It's really awesome to see you grow video by video! I enjoy watching day in the life videos because it's cool to see how people with different lifestyles, occupations, and routines go about their days Keep it up with the videos Mia and I hope all is well in the Bay. Cheers from Utah :) My timestamp comments: 0:56 Props to you for getting up at 5:00 a.m.! I used to do that for quite some time but I prioritized getting more sleep in my schedule haha. Of course with being able to wake up early, you get more time in your day to do what you need/want to do. 1:08 Wild that you had a meeting for that long! I work at a company where we keep meetings no longer than one hour 3:33 Looks sweet! Nice upgrade 5:00 - 9:00 Very cool to see you show what kind of apps you use for your terminal and code setup. I'm kind of plain and jane in that I don't look much into these customizations haha (I guess other than having dark theme modes but that's barely scratching the surface); probably need to look into those as well 10:48 For me, I just eat whatever I pick out every time. I like getting a mix of the best ones at some times and the not so best ones at other times 11:10 Ayyyy, getting those greeeeens! 12:20 Awesome that you still hit the gym! I hit the gym as well but I do it first thing in the morning before clocking in to work! Everyone's different of course 13:19 I've heard many people are Vitamin D deficient so you're not alone. But it's also good you've been getting yourself out after being stuck inside all day! 14:26 Just got back from playing basketball as I was watching this part haha! Yes thanks for the reminder Mia, I try to go outside in the morning/early afternoon then relax the rest of the day
Haha thank you, Tony!! I appreciate your support since the very beginning 😆 and yup I agree, any meetings longer than 1 hour is not as productive, but it happens sometimes 🥹 Glad to hear from you again 🤗
Love the day in the life of Mia Ngo. Also, you made me remember that I need to get an adequate dose of sun per/day because my Vitamin D levels were out of range (i.e. too low) during my previous blood work. I need to get my levels up prior to my next doctor's visit in July. Anyway, I like the fact that you have integrated exercise into your day because many people just don't do it. BTW, my favorite workout these days is the 12-3-30 treadmill exercise. Thanks so much for sharing, and please keep the videos coming.
Thank you~ I’m glad you enjoy watching it! 🤗 ahh I used to do a lot of 12-3-30 too - it is a great exercise!!! I’m doing it less often now only because it’s a bit more time consuming so I switched to doing Stairmaster instead 😋
Thank you for sharing this part of your life as a developer. If I may, you might want to pay attention to wrist extension - it's not a big deal now but that it can cause problems later on. (I know you did not ask for this advice but I thought you might be sensitive to it.)
So much inspiration. Currently learning Software Development as we speak through a cohort! Just recently got the M3 MacBook Pro Space Black as well! Whoop whoop!
Macbooks can be pricey and are the center of the usual scrutiny, but they are really sexy laptops. Especially that dark color… oh man what a great workstation.
Awesome productivity software video! Speaking of tools, Immersive Translate makes translating websites, PDFs, and videos a breeze. This Chinese-developed tool is free and versatile.
Oh my zsh is good but i like working on Warp terminal more now, not because of its look but it has some good built in functionalities like autosuggestion and syntax highlighting, also it has some AI functionality (i dont use that AI feature though)
thank you for all and if you want add big count of your viewers you can add turkish subtitle to your technology videos. just try. Especially this video

I totally get the feels of firing up an Intel MacBook and hearing the fan go full jet mode! Keep up the good work! 😄 I'm a software engineer in the Bay Area too. Let's connect! 😊 By the way, have you ever thought about trying a different mouse? 🖱

It's not enough even for small Android projects, trust me. My M3 Pro 18 gb sometimes is showing orange memory pressure with one medium project, Android emulator running and some tabs in Safari. If I open 1 small project in Android Studio and Emulator it immediately eats 12 gb ram. I recommend 16 gb ram minimum for Android developement. With 8 gb you will get frequent lags and high SSD pressure due to swap (remember that SSD is not replacable). Previously I had MacBook Air m1 16 gb ram, it worked fine, but I need HDR screen to watch movies, thats why I got M3 Pro.
