Dad needs to be more of a help, he shouldn't wait for you to ask for help to help. And you just had a baby but your cooking, cleaning, taking care of the baby and trying to take care of you, yet he's off to the gym and taking a shower w/ no interruption, hears the baby crying but isn't picking him up and tending to his needs so you don't have to, lol, don't mean to come off so strong but, nuh uh, lol. Tell him he needs to get it together. When you become a parent, "you" comes last to baby, then you help your partner/spouse,(ask if there's anything to help with or that needs to be done) then if you want to do other things extracurricular, then you do that, but needs before wants... 🤷🏾

But mama, you're doing a great job, don't stress. Just another tip: you can't spoil your baby at that age where they're completely dependent on you. When they're about 5-6 months is where they start to gain some form of independence, so you can let them be a bit more at that time. But for right now, as you can tell, they need to be close to mama to feel safe, even when sleeping, so the quicker you are to wrap him/wear your baby on you, even while you get things done around the house, the more calm and less fussy he will be overall.

You could pump a little before breastfeeding to decrease the amount that’s ready to come out. If you’re full, it’s going to come out forceful. If you don’t have a manual hand pump, get one! It’s so convenient and gets a lot out in a little time. Also not letting him wait until he’s too hungry can help with a calmer feeding.

Former daycare worker here 🙋🏾‍♀️ A newborn baby eats every 2 to 4 hours. Even if you need to wake him or dream feed (feed half sleep). Swaddling is key, babies love the snug fit similar to the womb. Sound machines help too if you haven’t tried white noise

He seems to be hungry..... probably feed him every 3 hours instead of 4 or give him more during feeding time .... idk 3 onces every 4 hours might be the reason he's screaming

Definitely increase feeding. No more than every 3 hours. 4 hours is way too long.

Put the breast pump parts in a ziplock bag and in the fridge so you don't have to wash so often..

My baby 3 weeks old and I cried the other day I just felt defeated. Frustrated because I couldn’t figure out why she was crying, I felt like she knew I was stressed so she eventually took a nap. Im my biggest enemy I set such high expectations for myself and then when I fail I beat myself up. But motherhood is something different lol words can’t explain. But we’re all doing good mamas ❤❤❤❤

Just subscribed and lordt I forgot how much of a task babies are lol I’m due June with my second (been 5yrs since my first)..baby boy got some LUNGS ok❤ I broke down with my first one night , and I think I bored him from crying he stopped 😂 they SKRESSFUL ! I use to JUMP out the shower if he would be crying, this time (if dad isn’t home) I’m gone use the monitor wherever she is and if I see she just being “ a baby” 👊🏽👋🏽sis gone have to wait till these creases and crevices are cleaned 😂. I’m gone be different! I’m gone be different 💪🏽😂

Yesssss swaddling helps them feel hugged and stops them sudden jumpy jerky movements babies do in their sleep that wakes them back up again 😩! But I used to put my baby on his side when I put him back down to sleep and I’d change sides each time he went down to sleep. Gotta love swaddling 😍

Thank you! & congratulations to you💕 i would say, drink tons of water, eat LOTS of oatmeal (maybe a bowl every other day?), & breastfeed often! The more you do it, the more milk your body will produce!

I don’t know how you do it 🤍 especially after your operation and the healing process that follows🤗. I’m sure you know breakdowns are completely normal I remember them well 30 odd years later. Hey love your vlogs! Your producing so much milk bc your breastfeeding and pumping and your body responds to the need. He should be fine with you just breastfeeding- I have three children so I was just sharing what I’ve experienced. Why do you pump so often?

That's good to hear, I appreciate that💕 & yes I've always got breastmilk on deck if he's still hungry lol but I only pump about 3-4 times a day! Morning, night, and a time or two throughout the day. I filmed the haaka part a different day, I just wanted to show both methods

With your supply your baby is not hungry. If it feels like he wants more he is just cluster feeding or has a supply and demand day where he stimulates your body to produce the amount of Milk he needs. First time mom here and i wish people explained these things to me. I am breastfeeding 3 months now and it was and is still not easy. 😊

Breastfeeding is so much easier than pumping and washing bottles. Taking care of baby is already so much. Just eat the right foods and place the breast in baby's mouth helps soothe baby and less stress for mom. It works perfect. I'm telling you from experience

I agree with you there! Things were simpler when I was strictly breastfeeding him. I do still do it here and there when I don't feel like pumping and/or washing a bottle lol & thanks for the tip!
