The imp things is Ltd Deptt Compttv Exam for SO....if you make it through you dnt loose your seniority n all other attached benefits to it. Cadre Restructuring is under way....we have proposed so many things but there is a remote possibility of acceded to it by DoPT.

@@debrupchakraborty6027 basically increasing the no.of vacancies in SO onward grades as we have a huge no. of ASOs in the cadre, relaxing deputation norms as one CSS officer cannot go on deputation without completing 9yrs of service, NFU, posts in Dir n JS level, branch secretariat vacancies in every stat e in all grades etc. are some of the key points in this CR.

Not really. Bt as you become US, certain things done in your name like, you become CPIO for RTI, court affidavits filed in your name, all communications would be made by ur signature, u'll be the member of certain committes of the deptt. etc.

ED is much powerful than CSS. Belonging to Haryana, CSS couls be better in long run but won't get any sense of power n prestige as you get in ED. CSS largely a peaceful n quite job.
@@RAJATSY It depends on the workload of the Section you are posted in and the workload does not depend on the Ministry or Deptt. There are various core ministry with moderate level of work and small ministry with higher workload. . For UPSC preparation you can extract around 5hrs a day if your travelling time is not much. . I'm being judgmental but what I have observed that nobody (Duniya) likes to see you growing so just keep your preparation in low profile. Because you need to take leaves from your reporting officers.
@@RAJATSY It's a bit difficult to say as all the Min/ Deptt. have all kind of sections. I'm in FinMin, I think D/o Expenditure has a little bit of less work as compare to other Deptts. in FinMin. But the bottom line is the Section you get posted in. All the Best.

Delhi ka major problem pollution hee hai aur apka homeplace 150km hee hai....log weekends me commute kr lete hai apke ghar. ASO and ITI totally different job profiles hai....ASO ekdum Desk Job hai and ITI me apko field ka experience mil skta hai. Baaki ITI ka social status and powers ASO se jydaa hai. But don't gon foe ITI only because of this. Work atmosphere ASO ka better hai. It's upto you kesaa expect kr rhe ho job se.
Sir one question...I am from Jharkhand...My AIR according to Rankiq is 370 and score is 330 ur in CGL 2022...So which post should I prefer ASO CSS or ITI because in both cases chances of getting homeposting is less as there are few vacancies of ITI in North? Please reply...Thank you in advance ☺️
You rarely get a chance to get posted in any city of Jharkhand being an ASO in CSS as outstation postings are very less. But there are some chances that you get posting in Jharkhand if not in ITI but in future in ITO or ACIT grades.
Sir, Do share something about differences in service of ASO in CSS and in AFHQ !? do ASOs in afhq go on trips and get to attend functions as is the case of CSS..?
As such no MAJOR difference in work profile. AFHQ is primarily looking after the matters related to defence, so it is more limited/ concentrated as compared to CSS.

Congrats for getting CSS. Well every other Minsitry is itself a Nodal Min. as far as it's policy matters concerned. Initially go for some major ministries if you want to learn some serious business..Like Home, Finance, DoPT, UPSC, Defence, etc. Then policy oriented Ministries Commerce, Skill, Rural Dev, etc. But ultimately it also depends which section you got...major ministries have higher no. of heavy sections that's it.

As far as I have seen in this service, it's a bit difficult to manage job with UPSC preparation. I m not doubting anyone's potential. If you do not have any major financial commitment, I would recommend you to prepare for UPSC only.
Go for lower gradepay job in your hometown if u can take that risk coz CSS is a gamble if u get stuck in a heavy workload section you will be mentally exhausted

Limited Central Govt. Ministries' offices are there in other states that too in major cities or capitals. So there are remote chances as all the outsiders try to get these posts.
Sir my cgl22 answer key score is 327. And rankiq raw rank is 332 and normalised rank is 560. And I am colour blind. I am confused between aso in css and DA home state because aso is stable job but DA has every 3 yr transfer issue. So guide me sir which post I should opt for?
There are no issues having color blindness in either of the posts. If you want to prepare further for PCS, UPSC or any other specific post, go with DA home state but if the transfer/ posting is actually followed up in letter & spirit, then you have to take a call. ASO in CSS has better salary & exposure than DA but here stagnation is evolving with every other batch. If you your hometown is not very far from Delhi, you may consider CSS.

Hii Well SSC CGLE exam has so many posts which can get you home posting depending upon your rank & vacancies in your state e.g. Income Tax Inspector, Excise Inspector, Tax Assistant, Divisional Accountant, Inspector of Posts, AAO, Auditor etc. Once you start preparing, you'll automatically get to know these things.

Hi.. I think due to change in the examination pattern and given the huge number of vacancies, one cannot guess the cutoff. Cutoffs are determined by various factors also viz. difficulty level, preferences of posts, number of serious candidates, completion of examinations procedure etc. Do your best....don't worry about cutoffs.

Its a very good thing that you have something that you enjoy doing. As far as any Compttv Exam is concerned, it comes with an age limit factor. So if you want to do it then give it a full fledged shot. Govt. Sector has stability of income to an extent but the pleasure n fun you get in your creative things....you can't have the same in Govt. Job. As the time passes....more n more responsibility n accountability is increasing. Bottom line: Just give a final shot in cgle 2022 & get a post. If you enjoy it...be in it otherwise the other option is always available with you.
Well it depends how you manage your time as you may have 4-5 hours per day for studies apart from work n other stuff. But it is upto you how much you can make out of it.

Hii Well there are not so many tours for ASOs but policy driven ministries have some scope. Go for Commerce, Skill, Rural Development, Youth Affairs etc.

Hii Well it depends when you become SO and your rank on SO Examination. After becoming SO you need to have 8 years of services as SO. It's bit technical. In an Ideal Situation it'll take 13 years of approved service.

Well for the salary point of view...one cannot compare Govt. and Pvt. Sectors as the latter has better packages in longrun. As far as a newly recruited ASO is concerned, his/her initial salary starts around 80K at present (without deductions). Increment in salary includes DA rate & annual increment. Including these, there is not more than 10% increase in your salary as per present circumstances. But if you love doing CE n see a thik thak future in it..just be in it. You cannot get that excitement in govt. sector. All the best.

Yes there are all such leaves. But study leaves are not granted for Non Group A Officers. The best option is to take EOL as you will atleast get HRA. Medical leaves for such a long period will create problem.

@@happysinghBHU Group A officers are IAS, IPS, IRS, IES etc. You can take EOL for any purpose butbit depends on the Deptt as well. But normally EOL for 3-6 months are not a problem as you won't get any salary, seniority for EOL period except HRA.

For a beginner, 70k in hand is good amount. It depends on person to person as well. But you can easily live under 30k in Delhi. Your flat, food, travelling, etc. would be completed in 30k. But can't say anything if you spend so much on random things. Delhi is not so expensive like Mumbai.

Hii...sorry for late replying. CGLE offers different kinds of posts ranging from Inspector in NIA to ASO in CSS in terms of sensitivity. The sensitivity of post depends accordingly. If your circumstances allow, just prepare for your targeted exam like UPSC, RBI or PCS. It they do not, select a post of your homestate as it would be much beneficial in many terms viz. homesickness nahi hogi, savings, time, future plans, further study thoda asaan ho jygaa. Workload wise you can go for ASO in CSS, DA, Excise, ITI for homeposting, etc. Leaves are same as any other Central Govt. Jobs 30 Earned Leave n 8 Casual Leaves beside many more conditional leaves are there. It all depends on your officers how strict they are about leaves n all.
On papers its 5 + 8 years...if you have very good rank in SO exam. But now...it will take roughly around 15 years because of big batches, rank n less no. of vacancies in US grade. But this is a temporary effect as Cadre Restructuring excercise in underway...n a few good things are being expected.

Do they get a government quarter or they get allowance from the Government if they're not living in home state ? Also what post is good for women ? What to look for while selecting Ministry? Since I am a complete fresher and not even from Arts background (I am a Bio student) should my preference be CGPSC (my state exam) or SSC CGL (I know perks sre better in CGPSC but it's tough equally at the same time and syllabus is huge). Hii 1. Irrespective if you are in hometown or not you'll get House Rent Allowance. You can also get Govt. Flats but in this case you won't get any HRA. Govt. Flats are demand because of multiple reasons one can be the location. 2. This post is very good for women employees. The environment is good. However, the patriarchal mindset n judgemental behavior is also there. But still it is better than any other State Govt. System. 3. Well it depends on your choice. If you want to work in nodal Ministry like DoPT, UPSC, Finance etc. it's good but work load is somewhere high. Otherwise small Ministry n Deptt. are also there like Tourism, Culture, etc. not very heavy loaded. Personally I believe if you want to stay in service, go for big Ministries as you ll get some better exposure to the system. 4. PCS posts are obviously better in terms of power, recognition, homestate n all other things attached to it. You won't be able to feel the same here but you would find some other things better here. Every post has its pros n cons, it's upto you....what your preference are, how you see yourself working, future plans/ committments, etc. So do some more research on all options n get the best one. All the best.
@@aelenak Well...it depends what kind of work predominantly under that Ministry. If you want to work in policy then Commerce, MSME, Skill Development, Rural Development are there. If you like to work in administration it basically means Rules n Regulation type of work...then go for DoPT, Expenditure, Financial Services, Economic Affairs(not too administrative kind) etc. Some Ministries are not so loaded like Tourism, Culture, Shipping, Mines etc. so if you wanna prepare further you may go in this. Bottom line: It ultimately depends on the section you get in that particular Ministry/ Department. Some major Ministries have chilled out type of Sections also and its opposite also there. Baaki service me Extraordinary Leave le skte ho...jisme service me toh rhoge bt pay n allowances kuch bhi nh milenge expect HRA.
Well I have talked about the same in this video. Btw, at present 2010 & 2011 batch of ASOs have appeared LDCE and they are already promoted on seniority basis. If they clear the LDCE, their seniority in SO grade would be counted from back date. Further, 2012 batch of ASOs have recently been promoted as SO on seniority basis. No. of promotions very much depend on your rank & no. of vacancies apart from how regular promotion are being made, court cases etc. One cannot be 100% sure as how many promotions he/she gets.

@@sabjeetsingh8242 Lately 2012 batch has been promoted under seniority quota & getting seniority from year 2022. Their Departmental exam may be held in January 2023. If 2012 batch ASOs clear Deptt. Exam they'll get seniority from 2018. . But its unlikely that 2013 batch ASOs get promotions even on seniority quota. These guys are taking up the matter with DoPT for promoting them atleast on adhoc basis.

Yes Sat n Sun are holidays. My friends who reside in nearby states, they usually go to their hometown on every friday by early leaving office if there is no such urgency of work. But ultimately it depends on your controlling officers if they are allowing you to leave office on friday a bit early.

APAR = Annual Performance Assessment Report. This is filled up by ASO...then SO who is the Reporting Officer writes his remarks after that US who is Reviewing Officer gives his remarks. It's filled up on annual basis.

Sir, I'm expecting CSS after the CGL exam, but I have also been a dedicated CSE aspirant, and am serious about CSE 2024 attempt. If I join CSS, how easy is it to get an extension in joining and for how long can I certainly stretch it? What's the training scenario post that? Informally speaking, how supportive do you feel they are at CSS about Civils aspirants? Foregoing a post is sadly not an option for me..
Yes you can get extension normally 3 months but if you have some genuine issue, it may be extended depending upon DoPT's views. Physical training of around 3 months will be conducted in the initial months of service after that online classes n course will be done during your service. Preparing for an exam like CSE will require efficient time management with your job. Though there is average to higher load of work but you can manage 3 4 hours of studying I guess if you do not have to do anything else. As far as support is concerned, it depends where you get posted. However, you can go on leave without pay (EOL) near your exams but CSE like exam need much More attention. Just keep your study plan a bit low profile. All the best.

Hello Venkat, Initially you'll be posted in a Ministry in Delhi only. M/o Urban Development, Staff Selection Commission, M/o Law & Justice, D/o Earth Sciences, M/o Agriculture & Farmar's Welfare....these are some ministries/ deptt. which have offices outside Delhi. These Ministries fills up its outstation vacancies internally and if some vacancies remain unfilled, the same is filled up by DoP&T by inviting open applications.

@@venkat8875 Benefits & Entitlements are the same in CSS & Railways. However one in Railways always be in it. CSS officer has opportunity to work in different min/ deptt. Some benefits are specific to specific Ministery like MoD guys gets Canteen facility.

Sir I am from Bengal My rankiq rank of CGL 2022 is 2085 and OBC category rank is 638 Do you think I have chances of CSS? If yes, then what should I choose? CSS or Examiner( There are good chances of getting Kolkata posting) Kindly share your insights on this...
Well now candidates prefer CSS over other posts. It appears slight chances of getting CSS. Examiner and CSS have totally opposite profile....analyse the profile of Examiner with CSS then make a choice. If you just want home posting then go for Examiner.
U will definitely get ASO CSS.. but as far as you belong to West Bengal itself so I think if you have fair chances of getting homestate than you should go for examiner.
@@rahulkhurana8261 That's the dilemma brother. I am not sure whether I will get Examiner Kolkata or not. If i get Examiner Mumbai or Chennai then I will regret. If I have to go to any other state I would choose CSS first. Now let's see what happens
@@subhankarsikdar711 that's the same problem I'm going through want auditor near my home but as they ask just one state preference and vacancies don't disclosed by them so can't take risk of being allocated to a far away state. What's your score and shift by the way?
Sir aapki educational qualification kya thi ,,, Aur sir kya aap satisfied hai apne job se ,,,,,, Agar jaise it ya mba se compare kare aap apne dosto ya family se to aapka experience kaisa hai mtlb sbke comparison mein
I'm a Commerce PG. I had my own circumstances for which I had to get a job asap. I figured out ASO in CSS. To a large extent...I'm content with the job profile. Yes I know I can give much more. . Financially, 4600 GP in Tier X city for a local guy....is a good thing. Comparing it to IT, MBA or any other corporate job would not be a right thing. The work culture, orientation, salary & perks are totally different. If you're comparing just salaries...then obviously Govt Sector does not give you that huge packages.
I am such a situation in which I am pretty confused what should I do continue with my it job which is currently not giving me a hefty package but I know it will increase further or should I prepare for govt exams for not living a fast pace life in big metros and ofcourse the work load of a govt department is less than a normal private job .
Well only you know about your circumstances. Don't join Govt sector just because of social status, it doesn't matter after one point. If you are doing good in IT & having even if a bit of fun, you will not get the same in Govt sector. I wont say workload but yes workpressure is definitely there in Govt Sector. Social media projects Govt jobs in a very wrong way as far as I observe.
@@mee_rahul6267 actually i have a govt job...and in a dilemma whether to prepare for SSC CGL or join IT sector...pls do give some information..... except job security and social status u find not much enjoyment in most govt jobs...??
@@shivnaresh143 Apart from stablility in service to a limited extent, as Govt. Sector is becoming tough to work, and an average package, nothing as such exciting is there if you are a non-Group A officer.
