Seriously people... it's supposed to be very thin & stretchy fabric because it goes UNDER your clothes to smooth out curves. The thin fabric prevents sweating, over heating, creasing or visible seams from the shape wear when wearing tight clothes. It's called Skims because it supposed to look & feel like you're not wearing shapewear, like it's just your skin. Please tell me y'all aren't trying to wear these as actual clothing!?

If it's supposed to go underneath your clothes, why is the collar so high? Shouldn't it be a little bit lower cut so you don't necessarily have to wear it with such high collar clothes? And I'm asking because the only second skin clothes I wear are for going out in the cold 😅😅

Generally a lot of shapewear are see through and meant to be worn under clothes to give you more of a shape in the right places. Then when you go out it hold in moisture locks in sweat while letting your body look good and comfortable
I had all 4 of my babies C - section, classical not bikini cut . When I say my abs are hopeless I dang well mean it. I love skims. I can wear many clothing items I just couldn’t wear AND feel comfortable .I’ve never been bothered by the transparency but I always wear mine under clothes ?
No, people hate on it and her bc they both promote unrealistic beauty standards. No woman should feel the need to "shape" their body. Celebrities like Kim contribute to that massively.
They look great but the only reason I can’t get the tops is bc they give me anxiety for my arm pits. Idek I just feel like the fabric would feel wack that close to me. But it looks so cute and I wish I didn’t have pit anxiety lol.
The point of it is compression under a shirt, so more than likely it's probably to help people that are insecure about the armpit flabs some have! I feel you tho, I hate stuff super tight around my shoulders/armpit area. 💀
I bought those underwear a year before she came out with her skims collection literally before she started making skims and it cost $4 and looks and does exactly the same thing other then it not being designer collection.

The ladies all sell brand new clothes and are so so sweet and cut you a deal if they like you enough haha. You can definitely get brand new packaged shape wear for $4 if that's what you're looking for!! I was happily giving a suggestion because some people have never been to a market place or experienced it to even think about checking it out as an option for clothing or even underwear lol. Live a little and have a great time, don't knock things until you can check them out. Markets are so fun and filled with cool things!! I work at a Nordstrom that sells Skims. It fits small so get a size up for some things. They do look great on so many people and it’s meant to wear under something because it’s considered lingerie and shapewear.
A trick for the deodorant stains is to take the inside of your jeans like at the ankles and use that to rub it off. My granny told me this and it worked and I’ve been doing that ever since.
If you live somewhere that has Supre I would recommend their luxe range, their designs are inspired by skims but it's cheap and the material is nice and comfy.
just in case it’s the first time someone hears this, your top can be a completely different size than your bottom 😌 super duper normal to be a bigger or smaller size on top than your bottom!!
Skims cotton collection is amazing. The t-shirts are so soft and stretchy. And you wear those as you would a t-shirt. The bracelets and boy shorts are the same. You don’t even feel like you’re wearing a bra or underwear. I love skims, but the sizing can be different depending on what collection you’re looking at. And they’re a bit pricey.
I bought a bog standar shapewear underwear that was tiiiightly elasticated from the pubis/Mons all the way up to above the belly button. The elastic was then designed looser above the belly button, and then fully loose at the ribcage/braline. Basically left NO squishy cut off line. They were amazing and I wish I could find them again
I love skims. I’m a size 12/14. I’ve ordered so many pieces and everything was great except for the triangle bralettes. Those are best for smaller girls..too much boob and you’re all over the place. If I were balling, I’d order a collection monthly.
I have a bottom one and honestly it doesn't work that well. It looks good when you put it on, but once you start moving the tummy control part starts sliding up so it's above the hip, which is both uncomfortable but also useless as now my belly us poking out underneath. So yeah, if you plan on moving around, these will most likely not work.
I got the s/m bodysuit and I normally wear a small. It might have been cute but the second I pulled up the middle between the cleavage it ripped the way panty hose rip. Not the best material for a body suit. They did refund me but I had seen all these reviews and saying it was amazing. Even if it had not ripped, the material was so thin it didn't really do anything as far as shaping the body.
That stuff is so overpriced. It probably cost less than one penny to make a single garment. I wish y’all would stop giving money to such a horrible family

Maybe a random boutique or so but in large part I think Americans buy from one sweat shop or another. I’m in the Midwest so we do have a couple of little shops with handmade goods - using products made in China 🤷🏻♀️… I guess my point was the world is crap these days and everything we buy is unethical in one way or another. I bought a bralette last year Size 3XL because I have big boobs and well let’s just say I had to give them to my 11yr old niece because the sizing is awful 😞 I don’t live in the US so when the money was converted I spent 300 in my currency 😓never again
That was very see-thru..not like bad but I don't think some people would be comfortable with it.. and the sizing is odd! Definitely smoothed out the sweats underneath the bottoms..so must work good on the actual skin!
Some of y’all in the comments, saying you’re supposed to wear under your clothes the only things from skims You’re supposed to wear under your clothes are in the shape we’re in the bras and panties. Everything else is supposed to be pretty sick in quality Inn not see-through the shirts and the shorts are not supposed to be worn under anything and if you follow them and you read where they say you’re supposed to wear these clothes they’re not supposed to be see-through their dresses are even see through and they’re loungewear but they’re not supposed to be see-through and then I’ll top of that they have other clothes that they literally say going out clothes and they still are a little see-through it’s not a shape where company.
Do most people not put deodorant on after their clothes? Like put it on after getting out of the shower if you are going to bed then get dressed and put it on after? Or if getting dressed right after a shower just put it on after putting on their top?

I do not understand why a company would choose to do underwear sizing with s/m m/l l/xl. It makes no sense and is definitely not size inclusive. Every company I’ve ever tried that has size sharing literally never fits
I bought the long sleeve of that same line, and it is soft and comfortable like people say, BUT it’s as thin as a pantyhose. Feels like it cost them 2 dollars to make and they charged 58.

my skims are so comfy but u literally cannot wear anything on the bottom or it’ll show through. skin colored underwear, white underwear, thongs, g-strings, everything. very comfy though!!
Yeah, they are supposed to be worn as regular clothes y’all just be lying to yourselves they literally have loungewear and their loungewear supposed to be worn as regular clothes. The only thing that goes under your clothes is there shape wear that crop top is in a shape wear a crop top it is supposed to be worn as a crop top not supposed to be see-through. They have dresses on there, so do your research only thing that supposed to be worn under is if it’s brought our pennies.
