I just switched to qtile. Came from i3 to bspwm but didnt like the tiling style. Wanted something more dynamically. Used dwm and awesome. But both are quite complicated to configure. Had an issue in awesome where it started an chromium app window floating only. With qtile now everything works nice. Highly configurable and easy to get into.
Lol I was kinda hoping you'd find qtile more interesting. I'm on BSPWM but have been leaning towards trying quite for a bit, but can't work up the will to setup another wm.
I do like it. It seems more polished than most of the other window managers I’ve used. I just didn’t think anyone would want to watch another video of me just screwing around in a config just to end up making it look exactly the same as my Awesome config.
You've reached peak window manager! LOL Thanks for checking it out for us. I could see this being useful when the transition to wayland becomes more of a thing. Right now, I don't see a reason to switch to Qtile unless I want to really get into python or something.
@@makc RU-vid is stupid anyway, their anilitics are basically aiming at selling crap. Not what people of a subject wants. Example one that teaches actually how to correctly use ECT ECT arch on RU-vid eflinux and don't use advertising. RU-vid hates this.
