A regular day in the northernmost town | Shopping + Spa + Café | Longyearbyen Svalbard 

I never knew I needed to do tourism in the arctic circle. I hope the tourism board gives you a sponsorship because I totally want to go to Longyearbyen after watching your videos and I hadn't even heard of it a month ago.

The fact that I would know my way around Svalbard if I accidentally washed up or something lol

Watching you just sit and have a cup of coffee made me feel so nostalgic, it’s one of the simple pleasures I miss as restaurants and cafés etc have been closed for over a month and it doesn’t look like they will reopen anytime soon.

I love seeing those brighter skies! I'm excited for the return of light and I don't even live there! LOL!

I love the first hat! I live where winters can be pretty crazy so I’m thinking practical 😉 the bill is insulated so along with keeping your forehead warm it also shields your eyes to a certain extent from blowing snow and the side flaps will keep your cheeks so very warm. Plus you look adorable in it🥰

Nice update. Grim is such a sweetheart. I guess after three months of total darkness, the first glimmer of twilight must be amazing. It's also good to see life continuing relatively normally up there, despite a lot of the world being in lockdown.

Grim's tag is gorgeous! The glaciers, water, cabin - it's totally him! Wish I could surprise a special someone with a gift certificate to your spa, along with the whole vacation package, incl glacier photography/boating/snowmobile tour, maybe a followup trip for the Northern Lights, then down to Portugal to warm back up again before returning home to the States. Another wonderful vlog! I had the chance to go to Longyearbyen a few years ago, but went to Tromso instead. I've been saving money for a big post-COVID trip, so I've decided to go to Longyearbyen.....in the winter (because I'm strange that way)....by myself. And I have you to thank for showing us how great life is there.

I’m a 74 year old RC priest and have done many road trip up to British Columbia, Yukon Territory and Alaska… love the north as far as I can get. I live in San Francisco’s Chinatown. Omg, I normally come here for your amazing Svalbard dose, but this time I binged on your coffee, shopping and spa going. In DK we're having everything closed, so salivating on your videos reached a total new level! Not envious at all!!! :)))

I was stationed at Ft. Wainwright AK in the US Army and the winter is dark but not dark all winter. Depending on how close it is to the solstice, you can watch the sun set and come back up in under an hour, or the opposite depending on the time of the year. In the winter the average temperatures are well below zero. It is definitely a different kind of lifestyle than the lower 48. The auroras are gorgeous, though!

Made me smile...So which beany did you get? I too want to experience "Polar spa" when i make it to Svalbard! It really looks like it is developing a fair bit out there lately! I was happy to see where hotels were i cannot wait to book my hotel and flights i keep looking at it all the time...We were supposed to come last year but its still going to be a while b4 Norwegian authorities lift up the travel ban for us here in Uk 🇬🇧 😢 Im glad to see there are coffee shops!
