I just finished this river ride this past Sunday (5/26/2024) and have a couple of bits of information that should be provided to users. First, at the 7:48 minute mark, there is a fork in the river. If you are headed to Tahoe Keys, you have to take the left fork. Also, there are tree dams if you take the right fork. Use extreme care if you take right fork. Second, my wife flipped here kayak at bottom of river rapid (at 7:48) and lost her IPhone. While we were searching for her iPhone, many others flipped at this rapid. Use extreme caution at this point in the river. Other than that, this 3 hour river float was awesome and very beautiful. Enjoy
thanks for your response, This video was not intended as a guide how to complete this river but yes you do need to be safe, wear a life jacket, and yes stay left. Many people complete this river with no safety gear and it is easy to get hypothermia with how cold the water is.
hey there, Sorry I didn't want to complete this video as a guide of "how to" as it can be dangerous without the right craft or if you are not wearing a PFD. We started from elks club and hwy 50
