Thanks for the ride along. I remember when my late husband and I drove a big truck going through Boone NC on our way to West Virginia. I loved taking the back roads. That little town was so peaceful and beautiful. I enjoyed those days.

Thank you for sharing your journey to Zionville . What wet dreary weather . Reminds me of the Peak District in Derbyshire which one minute can be warm and sunny and the next be cold with sleet . But England is often noted for wet dreary weather. Please keep safe & well both of you and look forward to your next joint adventure .

Excellent tour. My sister's late husband was from a small town in North Carolina called Oxford.

WOW!! I haven't been to Zionville for a very long time. As a matter of fact, I haven't been to Boone this year. Over the years, I have visited at least once a year, but since I lost my sister last December, my life is very different. I love NC especially Boone, Blowing Rock, and Valle Cruis. I am hoping that I will be able to visit the area sometime in October during the week to visit and view the changing of the leaves. YOU do not want to visit on a weekend due to football games at Appalachian State. First, I need to purchase a new car because on September 1st a woman came barreling down the road 60 miles an hour in a 45 mile an hour zone and hit the right back side of my car. Totaled it. I was siting still waiting to turn left. The blow threw me forward and caused whiplash. So, at this point I am driving a rental car and will be taking physical therapy. The church was beautiful along with the flags. Take care driving on a wet highway.

I love North Carolina and East Tennessee. Smoky Mountains. Blue Ridge Parkway. I know I'm a tourist coming to the area there. But, I was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains in Pennsylvania. My family is still there. ❤

Show us your new truck Shane! Have you read The Ballad of Tom Dooley by Sharyn McCrumb? It good- historical fiction. Btw, we went on a trip to Rogersville, TN and stayed at the Hale Springs Inn and ate dinner in the Tavern. Food was great and the Inn was wonderful! We went to the Thomas Amis Historical Site, which was intersting on the way to Jonesborough TN the next day. Jonesbough was really pretty and we enjoyed the shopping. We stopped at the Visitors Center and found and bought Shanes book on Legends and lore of Tennessee! We stayed in Johnson City and stopped at the Tipton Haynes State Historic site, which was also very interesting. You can take a tour of the grounds and house for a small fee, which was well worth it! Thanks for touring those towns and recommending them!

In the intro Melody said "beautiful woman". I would have to agree with that. Sorry, just me being truthful.🙂 Pretty little church too. And I loved all those flags. Nice drive though there. I enjoyed that.

You could do a video about driving through a car wash and it would still be informative. And funny!

I've been watching but not commenting. Been dealing with a lot. Hubby fell Nov 1st and suffered a severe spinal cord injury. He had cervical surgery to repair his discs & broken neck. He has been in & out of hospitals and rehabs ever since. I had back surgery in July last year before he fell. He doesn't have the use of his left hand/arm, very weak in his legs & is incontinent in both areas so needs 24hr care. I tried to take care of him at home a couple of times for very short times but suffered a spinal compression fracture & then another spinal fracture not long after the first. I'm very limited even more in what I can do. Was transported to Roanoke Memorial after 2nd fracture to hopefully have surgery to help with the unbearable pain. Unfortunately, my surgeon discovered my bones are too weak and brittle to withstand surgery. I have to use my walker in the house & if I'm able to visit hubby. Very limited in lifting, bending and lots more. I'm in a brace I have to wear if I'm up for anytime & if I go anywhere. I'm now going thru series of spinal epidurals in my lower spine to see if they will bring some relief. I just had my 3rd set the 18th and by Monday should be feeling some relief. Not getting my hopes up cause as of right now I don't feel any better. I know both of you are precious praying folks & y'all know I think the world of both of y'all. Just please keep hubby and me in prayer! And just know that if I'm not up to commenting, this old 65 yr old is still watching!! Blessings from VA!! 💗👍

Flags sold now are weather proof and can fly in the rain according to the Flag Code.
