A great question, that lead to a great moment at UFC 257’s press conference today as a reporter asked Conor McGregor to reflect on a quote he said back in 2013.
its not the question thats great, its the quote from mcgregor thats great. he basically said "hey connor can u reflect on this fucking awesome quote u had?"
@@tdv10 i assume u have journalism degrees and are highly respected in ur field? oh ur just completely talking out of ur ass to sound like u know anything? cool. shut the fuck up.
@@Akira12974 I didnt talk any shit about his journalism skills, I basically said "no, that question was normal, its the quote thats fucking good". The guy legit asked connor "can u reflect on this quote u made 8 years ago?". So whats good about that question? Its a normal question isnt fucking it?
@@m__7205 no, i admit good questions can be made and can totally impress u. If ure familiar with the "hot ones" series, the host asks a lot of good questions, and he usually gets credit for it. But this mf right here tells me that i have to have journalism degreeS and be highly respected in the field to ask someone to FUCKING REFLECT ON A FUCKING QUOTE? AYO? TF?
he achieved everything, its like beating a videogame, theres no point in running around the game after you beat it, thats what happened to him, the long layoffs took its toll, he aged, his skills regressed, he didnt have the fire he once had when this quote was read, when he was just breaking into the ufc. I think he choked up here cause he realized he achieved it all and what else is he really trying to fight for besides relevancy?
To be a champion. Maybe if he stops using money as his motivation and cares about legacy and glory he will be back to his best. This materialism stuff is sad, he used to be a hero to Irish people
what a beautiful question!!! you can clearly see that he was happy and emotional to recieve that question. He probably expected really negative & bad quotes from himself.. Happy to see such a reporter, who asks such positive questions.
@@recko800 he did better than most against khabib despite lack if fighting so did khabib end Justin's and dustbins... Talking utter shut lad and conor made khabib lol
it's a rare thing to see.. a man who lives up to his potential, conscious of the legend he is, but humble enough to be proud of himself while beeing grateful for the fans and the people alongside his path. dedication at its finest!!
Conor is actually a good person inside, he only does the trash talking and shit for the media, because it sells. Be honest, no one would be interested in UFC, if there are no people like him.
Plus unfortunately he did have some drinking problems after his success. Hence he because a bit sloppier, angrier, not as sharp. He kind of lost his mojo
@@yolando1263 yeah that was his downfall as well as his other antics that happened after the mayweather fight like jumping and startint riots in a ring or his Khabib fight marketing. After he got BEAT THE FUK out by mayweather he was not the same man at all lmao. Mayweather = legend killer
Conor.... You have actually inspired millions around the globe, and won hearts through your work ethic, confidence, humble attitude in victory or defeat, loyalty to your girlfriend since you were 18, passion towards the mixed martial arts, giving back to your people who helped you reach here today. True, you got strayed away from your path, did quite a lot of things which hurt me, n every single one of those millions, questioned us whether to believe in you or not again, questioned whether you are that good Charming inspiring loyal leader that you once were. We all love you Conor. Win or lose, just don't stray away to become a negative person. Your cocky brash trash talk is good, but you shouldn't hate on the person who has the same goals as you, and now that you have reached your money goals, I hope to see more excellent bouts from you. Always a fan, and thank you for being such a legend. To err is human, but to repeat the same is a habit. Stay positive n stay happy n charged like this Sir ❤️ awaiting your bout on July 10. Best bdae gift for you
Seeing Conor lose fights is like watching Ragnar almost die over and over. His legend only grows each time hes knocked down. Its amazing to witness this in real time.
Absolutely beautify story. If you can't celebrate the joy of seeing someone reach their crazy dreams you don't deserve to realize your own. The humblest of dreams are those which aim to give to others... that is love.
That ear to ear grin though. You can really tell that question struck a deep chord. For all the negatives that come from conor his positives are 100 fold. Even if you arent a fan of conor he can be one motivating son of a bitch to listen to.
You can clearly see that he hadnt thought about what he said since he said it and we got a glimpse at what his true reaction to it would be. You could see it in his face that as he was hearing the words he could feel himself in that moment saying the same thing but now he has the memories of all the accomplishments he described. Amazing. I hope we all get to experience something like this.
I don't think it's the same Conor from 2013. In the sense that Conor right now wouldn't lose his mind for the sport anymore. He's achieved everything he needs.
Has he? No he hasn't, he just made up his mind, that's what retiring and having hundreds of millions of dollars do to you. He barely defended any of his belts, not to mention he still haven't taken khabibs belt. Chad still waiting to fight him, and he could still do a rematch with nate. He still could go to boxing and actually win against a pro boxer. He just think he's done it all, that's the problem, he clearly hasn't, he just think he does, then you stop doing anything more. It's not easy to stay hungry, because you always have to trick your mind.
i remember it like yesterday when conor knocked out aldo in 13 sec the nes sand the pic with him on the cage was all over the globe, croatian newspaper posted about it and thats how i saw him and became a fan since
@@MrTech153 Lmao what in the literal F&*# are you talking about!? I mean I can't even be mad at this point, someone as stupid as yourself is just impressive......
People are making fun of him for losing but it's normal for the strong to lose. It's easy to rise to the top but it's harder to maintain it. Connor is a legend for his accomplishments
I wish I could meet McGregor, so much inspiration. “When my kids kids get everything they ever wanted then it will pay then I’ll be happy I lost my mind”
Love him or hate him; he’s done a lot for the UFC, the sport of MMA, and he made his dream come true. No matter if he starts a loosing streak he’ll still always be champion.
well... he has accomplished what he said he would and no matter what people may think about him, he has done it for his family and made sure they don't have to worry about money anymore and all this in a few short years.
There is not and there will never be another Conor McGregor, I will always support him no matter what. And there's no defeat that can change the fact that he CHANGED the game forever. Would Khabib among of all be this famous if he had never fight and beat Conor? I don't think so and if someone says otherwise is delusional. I will never understand why some people hate him so much, he is nothing but an inspiration to motivate you to follow your dreams and the way he did that will always be the best run ever. He brought so many new eyes to the sport, every fighter on the UFC if it's making a lot of money is because of this. 10th July, let's fooking go! Always my hero!
Its the kind of image he used to potray which made many people dislike him and make fun of him and the reason people love Khabib is bcz he is the same person behind the camera too,he is calm, stay true to his words and he does what he wants to do,not what everyone wants him to do ,so obviously its easier to like a person like Khabib and No hate to Conor,i respect him its just that i dont like his morals and principles
to all the people that talk about his 6 losses as if takes away from connor. he's won his greatest challenge and beat his greatest opponent, life itself. fighting isn't everything, his record isn't everything. connor was a plumber, and left to become a fighter and he conquered it all. his family is set for the rest of his life and their lives, and their children lives. he can have anything and everything he wants, all his hard work, hours, dedication, has made his dreams come to fruition. nothing but respect for a man that worked for every single penny he has gotten.
That question got him ayy? In a good way. I like how Connor McGregor gets humbled by that question, like shows great humility? Because you wouldn't usually relate to some megastar in that way, but now I'm looking and thinking about Connor and just relating or understanding how much that means to him, like he got there because he did the things he had to do because of his unyielding or unrelenting reason, his goal. He knew that, and maybe inadvertently figured out that is how you are supposed to live life, identify your situation be aware or become aware of your self and do what you need to do not what you want to do, then subsequently proceed to endure any and every hardship necessary to achieve your what could be phrased as self actualization or what I mean by that is unconditional self acceptance of both their good and more importantly bad parts embracing them then like yin head towards yang, or which ever one represents light, i understand but a quick google click to look that up isn't as fast as ignorance. Anyways I believe Connor Mcgregor achieved his goals and honestly he is so entertaining because of his controversial nature but Connor to a certain extent doesn't care because the only thing important is Connors self worth or level of self acceptance as in the magnetism or charisma from this individual is so radiant that he is able to be so radiant and achieve these levels of success through that process of self acceptance a very honest process which makes sense because so is learning to fight and going through those disciplines of self mastery. Conor accepts himself no matter what and if you say anything against him like you have bad hair..he'll back that up with something witty to defend himself a quick disarment from his own personal belief about himself, conor is the greatest fighter in the world because to conor he believes that he is the greatest fighter in the world. he feels that he is.
