This is a bit of a mystery set, as we don't know quite what its origin was. It has clearly been modified in several ways over the years, but the original seems on the lines of the type of set used by the resistance in occupied Europe during the second world war.

Sadly there appears to be no complete circuit, which is a bit of a pain as it has been modified seemingly a number of times in its history! (only some scraps of alterations available) If you contact me via our website radar-room.co.uk email then I can send some pix of the insides for you. It's a nice little set, though a bit insensitive.

I prefer Radio Romania than anything I hear on BBC News and that radio would be easy to hide from the Capita licence enforcement goons 😁

Fortunately we no longer have a 'wireless only' licence requirement here... However, I do know what you mean, as I like to regularly listen to some of these broadcasts in order to hear about the things that for whatever reason, our BBC leaves off their own news bulletins. BTW, I have a very nice QSL card from RRI on my wall as well :-)
