So here are some things that you might have missed on the first watch: 1. Tutting is spelling L-O-V-E. 2. The QR code leads to the post when the fandom name ONCE was announced. 3. The storyline of the MV is them trying to find mysterious codes, like in an escape room. There is their debut date on the flying disc, the date of their first concert in the disc that gets stuck in Sana's bag, their first music show win when Jihyo gets electrocuted, the date of their first fan meet on the HUD during Dahyun's lines, Jeongyeon types out the date when ONCE's fandom name was revealed. 4. The concept of the MV is Y2K. You can see it based on the outfits and there is a prevolent "spy movie" theme with girls having various gadgets and trying to find secret codes. 5. There are references to their previous songs in the lyrics, like YES or YES, MORE & MORE, 1 TO 10, Push & Pull and L.O.V.E 6. The cat from SCIENTIST returns and is featured on the screen that Nayeon breaks.

12:33 I agree with you about Sana catching your attention in in TTT's. I'm also pretty sure that it's part of JYP's Twice masterplan. Every pop star in history has been chosen for the combination of dance and singing/rapping ability plus their looks but in the first mission of Sixteen JYP tells them to show him why they are a star. One girl writes, composes and sings an original song and gets scolded for its lack of feeling. Sana just put some vegetables and crab meat on to some rice paper and wraps them up. It's an amazing piece of TV and JYP must have seen Dollar signs. Sana (and Dahyun as well) are able to add an extra dimension to their appeal by how naturally engaging they are on variety shows, online content etc. It has been a big part of their success but something most music companies would not have considered as a core skill. JYP is smarter than he looks 😆

It's how Jihyo starts the chorus with her powerful voice is one of the reasons why this song gets you into it. Line distribution is amazing as well, Tzuyu's voice is getting more and more beautiful as well. Jeongyeon getting a lot of lines and choruses. Each and every member improving in their own way. And Dahyun has been my bias ever since but Mina has been getting to me.

They said that each member is not aware that they renewed until the day before JYP announced it. And the main reason they renewed is because of ONCE.

this was actually shot months before they renewed their contracts so the negotiations was still up in the air, i think they did this to pay homage to their cutesy concepts but at the same time letting us feel that theyre growing up and exploring more genres idk if it makes sense. i mean the album is entitled between 1 & 2, this title feels like it encapsulates their 7 year run and nicely puts a ribbon on their entire era before the renewal. And as much as i LOVEEEE this unskippable album and title track, im also really excited for their next era because its the real album after their renewal, where they have more control and renegotiated their terms so im looking forward to what will change musically in the next album they out out. BUT LOVE THIS! LOVE YOUR REACTION TOO!!

There are some easter egggs in the video. There are a couple of codes in the music video that are dates of milestones. There was 151020 which is their debut date October 20, 2015, 170217 and it refers to their first concert February 17, 2017, 160505 the day they received their first win May 5, 2016, 171014 for the first fan meeting called Once Begins which happened on October 14 and 15, 2017, 151103 for then they officially named their fandom Once November 3, 2015. Mina and Sana pose in front of a file labeled “Between ONCE & TWICE” which is a reference to their newest album, Between 1&2. In the scene where they are holding weapons in a video game like scene there's a heart in the bottom right corner with a nine next to it for the number of members. It also has their debut date again. The music video also uses what looks like a broadcast interruption screen labeled “Think ONCE Code TWICE” as a transition. They also included the cat from their Scientist music video. The QR code at the end leads to a throwback post on their Instagram for when they announced their fandom name.

I feel SO SEEN hearing that Twice songs irrationally make somebody else cry too!!!!! I knew about twice since debut but I got into them because my ex introduced Dance the Night Away to me and even though it’s just a happy summer bop, it ALWAYS makes me tear up!!!! Likely, Knock Knock & Talk That Talk also make my eyes water even though I’m not sad in the least! The only way I’ve been able to describe it is that the song is “too perfect” so it makes me cry but I still don’t understand it!

The sledgehammer at the screen is a definite throwback to the iconic Apple Macintosh 1984 “Big Brother” commercial. And there’s a choreo reference to MC Hammer’s mid 90s “Can’t Touch This” music video (the choreo near the end against the white backdrop). Plus, did you catch the reference to their live cover of “Move?” (Dahyun signing “replay…replay”). Since it is a super spy theme, a lot of the imagery looks very Austin Powers. Also there’s an evil villain (Austin Powers’ Dr. Evil which was a spoof of the James Bond villain Blofeld) stroking his cat motif that overlaps with the cat reference from their own “Scientist “ MV.

I love how twice always make different concepts to try, it’s very amazing and beautiful, And the members outfits are gorgeous!!!!!!
