This video was shot from the cab of a Komatsu 930 haul truck running on the acompany's Autonomous Haulage System. To read more about how these trucks were check out our article here: www.equipmentworld.com/how-ko...
Unfortunately many job and careers will be replaced by robots within the next 10 years; this is one of them ! I was thinking to get a haul truck training or license but I've changed my mind after seeing this video.
Why all ultra class haul trucks have rear axle drive, i thought in mining operating environment all wheel drive will be more practical? Only belaz 75710 AWD, but this truck not so popular

Non skilled labor will be completely gone in the next 100 years. You should learn a skill. For every 2 unskilled labor position that is eliminated, a skilled position is created. This truck means you have greater opportunity to learn large equipment repair, autonomous systems repair technician, etc... All position that offer significantly higher pay.
@@wiktormaciejewski6517 what? this defeats the purpose of the autonomy completely. the whole idea is to get the driver AWAY from the truck if something goes wrong.
@@wiktormaciejewski6517 You are thinking Tesla, which is Driver Assist but not Autonomous. Autonomous Mining Trucks do not have anyone in the cab or anywhere on the truck, nor is somebody in an office with a joy stick telling it to turn.
You may think your very clever for developing these things,i really hope one day you realise the damage that has been caused. So many truck drivers out of work, there are,nt any jobs for them to just walk into.Alot of them dont know anything else and if they had to train up for a job many wouldnt be able to because their not young and it,s too hard. When everyone has been replaced by an autonomous truck, digger, loader whatever, who,s going to feed them and their families? When they cant get a job and their families need to be fed what do you think they will do?They will turn to crime and there will be lots of them because there will be very few jobs that they can do and there will be that many people trying to get them and of course the companies will give them to someone young. The jobs im talking about are cleaners, messengers, picking up garbage etc.Dont you smart people realise that all your doing is making dirty greedy filthy rich companies even richer and the majority of society even poorer.
@@wiktormaciejewski6517 Im not crying coz i dont drive dumpers, but alot of older people who do and would find it very hard to go learn something else are affected but you couldnt give a f=×# coz its not you so who cares.Whatever you do for a living must be non autonomous so your right eh?
@@mickking5913 Again: It's a foken crime that wooden cariages drivers have been put out of work! Shame every company that uses trucks and cars instead of good ol' reliable carriages pulled by horses! SHAME!!! Im' not saying that changing your carrier is a fun situation, no matter your age, but bitching about technology taking your place is ludacrous, cringe, and pathetic. NOT TO FKN MENTION that it will be YEARS untill autonomus trucks will actually take over. Which makes bitching about it even more pathetic. They all have decades to shift their carriers.
What a shame that people can't find a job as carriage drivers because all of this diesel truck technologies, a reall shame! Shame on all mine sites that don't use horses and wooden carriages!!!
@@kjohn5224 Not to mention, that it will be a long time before autonomus trucks will take over the industry. Mines have invested bilions in traditional haul trucks and they will be using them for a long time.
In time man is going to do himself out of work by allowing all this robot tripe they don't need a wage humans do so do away with this or everyone will be poor and unemployed
