Court Philippe-Chatrier was such a beautiful place with great architectural and historical value. Now it’s a horrendous and generic pseudo-modern looking box. France has always been known for preserving their history but now some people got to ruin one of the most beautiful sporting venues in the world. And it’s not only the main court, they even torn down the Court 1 and the Place des Mousquetaires with it. Congratulations!!!!

Finally, its installed. The conditions in last year's SFs were so horrible. Two big matches, but spoiled by the weather. Djokovic struggled in the first set and a half against Thiem and Federer's shots went wide against Nadal due to the wind.

Unless they also change clay for grass, Nadal is still big favourite

They should not make it a close stadium it feels to claustrophobic. There should be quite some shine going inside the stadium

Horrible work. For the previous renovations that took place in 2000 with tiers added on east and north stands, architects managed to keep what made that court so distinctive: art Deco style, Saint Andrew crosses, and wooden boxes at the ground level. Now it looks like a soulless concreted box that is not really an outdoor court, neither a proper indoor one. Irony is that art deco/concrete style was chosen in 1928 at the time of the constrution because it was cheaper and quicker to build. That is proof that with real will, you can keep character to an historical building even when rebuilding it.
