This song is an old favourite of mine, with nice lyrics, and the wonderful Fhiona Ennis sings it beautifully. The song is a track from the excellent album "We're Still Together" by Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis. They are two of Ireland's finest Country 'n' Irish artists, and since joining musical forces in 1995, are a magical combination. Thomas Maguire comes from County Fermanagh, and Fhiona Ennis is from County Wexford. The backing music on this is top class. Many thanks to Nell Records for uploading this magnificent video. best version of this song ive heard for a long while, the dooleys had a hit with this but i think the original was way back in 76 and fhiona definately breaths new life into it "bravo"

Fhiona Ennis, another Irish Rose who does a great job on Country songs. I love these Irish girls who sing Country. The girls I've found all sing great and they're all pretty, Fhiona being as pretty as any if not prettier. I love this song, fabulous lyrics and being sung beautifully. Love it!!!

As a Canadian, I find it to be such a relief to find that true country music is alive and well in Ireland and other European countries! The music they call "country" here is in a real nose dive and has been for a number of years - steadily evolving into rock and roll. This is much more like the music that I grew up with and still love so much. Fhiona has a very nice voice and her style is excellent. Thank you for posting this - please keep posting more of your country music!

I have just stumbled across this again. This version is just beautiful and although I loved the 70's bubble gum version, this is just stunning. So full of feeling and a lovely Country slant to it. Just gorgeous.
