I just recently flew and the same thing happened to me. We moved away from the gate and just sat there on the runway in line to take off for at least an hour.

Jess- life hack so you don't have to buy water for each kid. Pack an EMPTY water bottle in the carry on, once you get through TSA you can fill it at a fountain or a sink!

I was a waitress for a long time and we really don’t mind people coming in 30 minutes before close if they are respectful and tip well if they keep us there past close.:)
I can agree the takeoff is a long time but my dad is actually a pilot for United and he says that they are checking everything over and over again to make sure everything is set and if you’ve seen the cockpit it’s a bit overwhelming!

Me and my family were just in Florida and when we were coming back around 8th of July and we were supposed to leave on the 8th but it got delayed a whole day!!!! And my parents were fighting with the American Airlines people and we got a free hostel room for the might😅
