Everyone is absolutely fabulous in this scene, but Joey Freakin Richter takes it to a whole other level beyond fabulous. I don't even know how to begin to express how much I love his portrayal of this character
who else spent the first 4:00 minutes trying to figure out who was missing from the cast only to be caught totally off guard when it turned out corey was playing the prince?
I think that as this is the first part of act 2, they might have had a break between this and the last part, but they always change quickly, so just general appreciation ;)
Okay, so I have watched this show like five times now, but this is the first time that I noticed that the prince is missing his shoe when he comes out and I am actually dying.
Ainsley Davis I mean I'm one year late but thanks for pointing that out. Brian breaking character like that is literally the best thing I've ever seen oml
The fact Joe Walker, as an American, is capable of doing two different, believable, British dialects in the same show is so impressive. Like that took a lot of practice and training on his part, either over the course of his life or in preparation for the show.
Why is no one talking about how fucking dope this whole flashback part is?? It’s so cool, I’ve never seen anything like it in live theatre Edit: also that one girl has a less than 20 second quick change holy shit
Those quick changes for Curt involved putting on or taking off the jacket and moving about two metres, but I'm still impressed. Also, that was the most elegant 'fuck you' that has ever been.
OddUndeniably only after that comment i realised it was indeed the same Curt who had to change and climb, and not some flashback Curt. it's genius and i'm slow.
I found this like yesterday and I can't believe I only found it yesterday cause I'm a huge fan of Starkid and anything that involves Joey Richter, Joe Walker, and Lauren Lopez. And this part was released on my birthday!!
So much shade, drag him! The lines in this show are brilliant, and the acting AMAZING! I just can't get over some of the line deliveries, truly beautiful.
So thanks to you guys, "flip-diggety"(?) has become me and my friends' new way of showing our excitement. I don't even know how it happened, but we said it all the time in Chicago last week. Darn you TCB!
On the DVD (I can't remember if it came with the digital download as well though) you can see all the princes they used in the behind the scenes extra!
Yeah, the night I saw it appeared to be a random guy they pulled off the street! In the reel they have like a super drunk chick and a dog among other people you'll recognize ;)
Woah the is one of my favourite characters of Joe's! Really amazing acting and singing! Loving Lauren choreography in this and the whole show! I'm now addicted to the soundtrack
Radio host(I can't spell his name): I just love your gown Cynthia: *mouths* thank you Radio host: would you please turn around? Cynthia: *mouths* no I don't know why this so so funny to me.
“just keep on smiling and put on a show if you are lying they don’t have to know” and “the prince how do you fiiiNNNdddd him” are some of the best lines in all musical history
I was so enveloped in the story and the way this was filmed that I forgot it was a live play and almost forgot to appreciate the super quick changes in the rewinding/fast-forwarding part! Crazy!
this is like my 4th time watching and i just now realized that when wagner tells cynthia "i just love your gown, would you please turn around." she just shakes her head like absolutely not :) love you lauren lopez
How did the people in the live audience see the time/place changes? Was there a screen or something? And in one of the earlier acts, the note from Cynthia?
I just love Joey in this. “The New Democratic Replubics of Old Socialist Prussian Sloviskia.” We’ve come along way. You were up down you were left you were right”
