@Ryan I'm not sure about that. The fabric you use for your scarlets today are thinner and softer (properly cheaper) than before and doesn't give the same shape or snug fit hug over your body especially around the shoulder, the waist, and the lower back as before which is a no-no for No.1s and full dress tunics. You can clearly see that in this video in contrast with other CG videos on RU-vid here. It is also a lighter shade of scarlet compared to the UK's Household Division and on a bright sunny day your fabric reflects light to give a weird orange-like glow. I know cause I have witnessed that with my own eyes standing next to one of you when I served in Ottawa and Montreal 2 decades or so ago. As conservative as the British Army is they are still using real Canadian bearskins recognizing the bears were shot as a matter of population control and weren't killed for the sake of making those bearskins. I'm surprised DND or your units weren't more enlightened.

@Ryan You can see in that documentary that their new tunic was in fact in a darker shade not a lighter shade. My buddy was an official supplier to the UK's MOD and he's told me that pipers of the Scots Guards in fact use a specially made and darker shade of the Royal Stewart tartan for their kilts and trews as opposed to the regular RS tartan kilts used by the Black Watch, the Royal Scots and the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards for the same reason. Not sure if videos show. I was in many many parades many many moons before on the hill in Ottawa and I was thinking exactly WTF why were your tunics orange.

@@AviationAddict69 Yes that is correct. The Officers' trousers now are cut like Other Ranks trousers, and I suspect this might have something to do with the idea that Canadian Ceremonial Guards officers never ride on parade thus given somebody the wrong notion that their trousers have no need to be cut tight like riding trousers. As well, the break of their legs aren't tailored at an angle and that's why you see a bulge at the tip of the legs right above the boots which looks very unprofessional.

the same thing with whats happening in the british royal guards lol. guards before the 90s era and now look so contrast, now you can see fat and short guards the same with what i see in CG videos nowadays.. compared to this video, the guardsmen here definitely looks the same with guards in london back in the 80s, 70s, 60s era all looking like pure warriors with super fit body shape and all with the same height. the standards back then were immaculate

That doesn't take account of the native peoples who were there first. The populations of the countries are an amalgam of the original & later inhabitants, the same applies to the UK! (ancient Britons onwards).

That was the PPCLI Camp Colour, The Ric- A- Dam- Do, which is totally different from the King's Colour & the Regimental Colour.
