Today, we venture into the extraordinary Salt Mountain of Cardona, a unique and continuously evolving natural spectacle shaped by years of rain erosion. Standing at a height of 120 metres, this marvel reveals just a fraction of its staggering depth of nearly two kilometres.
Join us for a 60-minute deep dive, 86 metres below, to marvel at the fascinating shapes and textures of this salt giant. Once a thriving potassium chloride mine - the Mina Nieves de Cardona (1929-1990), the site has transformed into the Salt Mountain Cultural Park, a haven dedicated to educating visitors about the significance of salt, the site's unique geology, and its centuries-long human usage.
