The guy sounds like a solid driver. It makes good comments about the pings and so. Sounds like have a understanding on the 2024 rideshare scene when point things like distance, locations and the prep 22. Unfortunately. Like many driver his head is stuck in the past, before the prep 22 show up to stole from the driver's. The prep allowed the companies to do something unthinkable since everything around a vehicle is measured around miles (mpg, oil changes, tire replacement, depreciation), but the prep open the door so the frackers to pay the drivers on a time based manner. This system of fishing is a thing from the past. This is the hard thing to swallow. You only makes money only and only when there is pax inside the car. The goal is to pick the first ride going to a place on where you know there will be another pax available as quick as possible so that may try to feel in a 60 min period of labor with at least 45 min with someone inside the car. By doing this you hit the $35 $40 by the hour (before expenses). You will never win the code, the code will never care about you, no one is really seeing why you passing rides and if you don't driver there is no income. Staying hours waiting for unicorns rides is mentally hard and offers no real results. The ride to half of the moon could be good but the chances of find someone there are way smaller than dropping someone around downtown/sunset/richmond areas in SF. Just saying.
Hey, thanks for making the video. Please tell me how to get to the "Trip Radar" screen at time frame 1:05 please. I'm new and all I get is the riders destination and time to pick up, I can't see the time, distance and payout for the trip. It's the updated app. Not sure if there sticking it to the newbee drivers and not giving us this information. It really sucks not seeing this feature. Thank you.
I used to drive in the Bay Area and I’m originally from the bay. Now I’m down in Los Angeles. LAX airport queue takes forever due to overloads of drivers. I calculate the fares using the rates that were on rate card from pick up to drop off to see if it factors in. If I ever visit the Bay Area since I don’t have a placard for SFO or Oakland airport, the only major airports I can drive are either San Jose or Sonoma county.
Why is that? Our offers in general seem worse down this way. I'd like to see Lake Fall Studio do another video and show us what the offers are like in the Peninsula and in the city area of SF.
I haven't driven Uber since February, but from what my friends have shared to me, the short ones are terrible af. The worst thing is unlike SFO, LA minimum fare is pretty bad.
@@JaivishalOmanI am still surprised that the lot at EWR is full most of the time. Unbelievable how so many people in Jersey do rideshare with these rates. 🤣😂
@@beekarinsaan if to want to make money from EWR pick up ride from Lyft only..choose ride Jersey only , once ride finished come to EWR by using location filter so you can come back EWR and so on 2 times from Lyft 2 times from Uber
I live in San Diego but I’m from the Bay Area originally. San Jose. I might move back up there because I built myself a small house in the backyard of parents place and I need to finish it. Maybe I’ll stay in it during the final touches. If I do Uber up there I see you literally need to do the same thing I’m doing in San Diego. 1 dollar a mile just isn’t enough. I wish Uber brought the multiplier back.
Thanks for the video! Great to see a driver representing the SF area. Very few of you making videos compared to Southern CA. You're getting good offers here. Like another commenters said, we don't see those. Not on X. That's another thing, many of the Comfort drivers down here would have you believe that X "isn't worth it" anymore. I hope you make more videos because I've considered moving back up that way.
If Uber is listening, they’re always listening. It’s a crack up. It’ll even drive me in the direction. I wanna go sometimes about the tip. That’s very questionable. What’s happening with that?
I always tipped taxi drivers. I have never taken a Uber and it’s been a while since I have taken a taxi, I have always given them a tip. Once I was stuck about 30 minute drive from home and had no money or even my wallet with me. I told the driver I had money at home and he trusted me to pay when we got there. I definitely took good care of him. That trip cost me a lot. I gave him 120$ tip on top of the fare. That was a special situation though due to him giving me his trust to pay him. Normally it would be less but always something worthwhile.
Wow, how many did you go through to find nothing from the airport also, that trip into Millvalley they’ll take you right up into the mountains not happening
Now we deduct out the gas and we’re making about $15 on a lot of those what a joke you would think that the airport would have a little bit more of a surge going on
How would you know it’s a horrible person? If your fellow drivers are giving for no reason a low star to the riders for no incident and hoping to get tips 😂.
@@dialby68I am not saying what is shown is absolute truth but at the end of the day, you have to make a quick decision as a driver and there is a trend. I’ve been doing this a little over a week and I decided to take pretty much any passenger I get and after a week of doing that, I kinda realize why people say stuff like “if they say they will tip you, they won’t.” There is a reason why the rating is the way it is for sure.
Self drive is super stupid. Who fuels, cleans, and monitors them? You have got to pay someone to do these... even if they could clean and fuel themselves. You, at the very least, need a human to monitor them. Who goes and gets them when they are in error or repair?
Newbie got excited to takes losing trip realizing they don't make money in fact it's a waste of time and money cuz minus gas, tires, car maintenance and big plus it's accident prone every trips.
uber sucks should be shut down, I get rides that are always 10 miles to 15 miles higher then the pay that is offer down in san antonio Tx. and right now since Wednesday before memorial till now have not made 100.00 dollars in two weeks all my credit is shot to hell cause of them and there greed.
