The idiots that wrote this ignored the 3 Laws of Robotics: The First Law: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. The Second Law: A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. The Third Law: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. and later we have the "Zeroth Law": A robot may not injure humanity or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm. A robot may not harm a human being, unless he finds a way to prove that ultimately the harm done would benefit humanity in general.... logic loop.

Look around you; we’re finding our society and are very lives immersed deeper and deeper into the Outer Limits in real life! Look at Sophie; look at Alexa; look at your EV; they all have A.I. systems to extrapolate interpretations from the world around them. Back when this OL episode was made, there was virtually no such thing as sentient or even semi sentient A.I. like we have today 🤖

When I first watched the episode, I suspected it, the hints were subtle (like being “replaced”), but as a woman it was her utter passiveness in the situation. The audience is most fooled by the mark on her face; that shouldn’t happen to an android.

Even though Ross did it to be with the wife the Scientist got what he deserved in the end because he murdered his wife long ago and replaced her with a robot. It explains though why he didn’t have any respect for his wife or maybe he never did. Ross needs to take the kids they can’t be raised by the robot.

I probably could not get fully comfortable with a AI robot living with me no matter what reassurances the manufacturer gives.Even more disturbing would be an AI android with human like appearance and features,the emotional connection could (in all probability would)get blurred,if the android is a true AI then it could mimic human emotions and responses which would make interactions more likely to be less difficult and therefore more complex….AI Could (and probably will)advance to the point where it could potentially become more complicated and more intuitive then the real danger becomes the possibility of human beings becoming more easily manipulated by the robots and androids and at some stage they could (and will)assume their existence as just as important and viable as humans,at that point all bets are off..

@@Cutseries there’s one about a housewife who finds a watch that freezes time and she’s an overburdened housewife so she uses it to shut her family up. While they’re frozen, she can relax. When she goes shopping and someone grabs something she wanted, she freezes time, takes it and leaves. She’s loving her life until she and her husband are watching breaking news one night, where it’s announced the US and Russia have gone to war. Of course she panics, freezes time and walks downtown, where she sees a bunch of people looking up, frozen in place. She looks up and sees a nuclear missile just over the roof of a building frozen in the air and it ends. It sent a chill up my spine. I think ur audience would love that. The last shot of her crying while looking at the missile is amazing!

The guy introduced near the beginning of the video as a "professional boxer" hired to prove the robot's skills in defending children from kidnappers was NOT a professional fighter of any kind. He swung at the robot in a very amateurish way, and any professional fighter would have recognized him for what he was. Now, I haven't seen this movie, so perhaps that exactly what the character was supposed to be, a bad plant. If the character was supposed to really be professional boxer, he did a terrible job of it.

Interesting movie, excepting the fact that the scientist (the one with long hair) is trying to get back together with his former girlified (now the wife of his boss and mother of his children). This is just stupid to get back to a woman who you left or she left you, years ago, after she has another family life and two children on top of that. This is as most as of science ethics as it is for beta males behavior.
