2 things that make this feel very real for me: 1 - "The running game". This off the cuff comment is pretty terrifying. You can hear some energy hit his voice at the mention of the opportunity to chase someone here. 2 - The notion that he lectures the potential victim of the danger of their job, then uses their dismissal to fuel his anger and create the very risk he alludes to.

I think what is perhaps most interesting about this interview is not the casualness in which this guy talks about his killings, but rather, how he *talks*. He sounds like a normal guy that you could bump into at the store or something like that, and he occasionally even cracks a few jokes, with seemingly the only reason they all fall flat being the context that this guy is a serial killer, but no one else talking to him would know that.

Even has a great sense of humor, even better than mine. Being well mannered, friendly and funny is what makes serial killers dangerous. It isn't their size, or weapon of choice, it's their ability to appear to have a good intention and the ability to get you to trust him and go somewhere private with him. That's also why they target hookers, they are easy to bring to a private location because that's the whole point of hiring one and they are literally paid to trust u and let you get really close to them.

It is too bad that he went the low brow route for his admittedly hugely successful career as I think he would have been a great, straight interviewer. Now, that I think about it, he probably would not have been allowed to ask the interesting questions in a straight format so the shock route probably allowed for nuggets of truth and honesty. Like something straight out of the movies.... But that's Howard Stern. People have no idea how big he was in the 80s and 90s especially in NYC. He could of became Mayor if he wanted.... even a serial killer rushed getting caught to talk to him.... Crazy nothing beat him in the beginning when he was breaking new ground every day on NBC..when his producer pig vomit, would call him into the office and scream at him for talking about something hed been warned about 10 tribes before. Even my uptight mother listened to him.

Probably bullshit, or there would have been more news about this guy somewhere down the line. He gave too much information, too many clues for investigators to piece together and make use of. They would have been after him, but it was probably determined to be a hoax by investigators, or Howard told them it was just a bit they did, perhaps even knowing who 'the caller' was. It sounded as though he was just saying things on the fly to keep it going. They would have figured out where that call came from, especially back then.

Deep down they want to admit. They feel they need to confess, which is probably why he would tell the women he was going to kill them. But, it's not the same. It's not real attention and who are they? They'll be gone anyways so, and to him, they're not important anyways. It's not uncommon for someone like that to call into a radio show or whatever because they get their 15 mins. of fame. He'll do it again and if he hasn't really been caught, I'm sure he's bumped his numbers up since the call. He'll probably continue until something big causes him to stop, he's caught, gets too old to do it, or developes physical limitations. These people are mental screwed. He doesn't know why he really does it because there's something wrong with the noodle. It's not anything in mainstream media or entertainments fault, either. Crazy people watch tv and read, too. It's not an influence, it's a drive they already developed. The tone, the way he spoke, and what he said. Yeah, I bet dude was serious. He did give too much info about himself but, he is pretty sure he hasn't got caught, at least around that time. I mean, he's been doing it since he was 16. He didn't say how old he was. At least he was smart enough about that.

It's a proven tactic for business negotiations or sales. When something is keeping a deal from closing, you mention an issue or problem you know isn't what is holding the other person back. By inserting the wrong assumption ("I'm guessing the time turnaround is what's keeping you from buying," etc) they instinctively feel the need to correct you, and it draws out the real reason they havent said yet. If you sell a product or service, and cant figure out what makes someone pull the trigger, get it wrong on purpose. The same applies to arguments and negotiations for anything in life, if you want to know what someone is thinking. Be wrong on purpose, watch them clarify things.

Doesn't like uncleanliness (tattoos and prostitution) probably Catholic (no offense I'm Catholic just a thought) comics, books and movies plays it safe and he's probably studied zodiac or other killers I think he lies about where he left the bodies.... But has worked around them (most would have cctv or recording). If he's still alive they could do vocal analysis..... It's been done before. I can't find any information that this guy or anyone like him has been caught. Or that a serial killer in the area even existed that fit this MO. In reality that's a ton of info to narrow a suspect, I noticed that too that a good bit of Howard's questions were geared towards creating a physical description. He must have at least had a suspicion this guy might not be joking. Whether this ended up bieng real or not, the truth is there are those people out there right now who have done/still doing these things right under our noses & still walking free. People think the weird quiet dude is always the culprit but the funny thing is it seems to be the ones who blend in and you'd never suspect besides maybe little red flags AFTER they got caught. Getting pissed off at the prostitutes’ lack of worry is probably the most revealing thing here. Viewing him as safe gets twisted into viewing him as weak, which triggers his anger. Either that, or he envies them for feeling safe (which adds another level of tragedy, because prostitutes probably never feel safe, they just fake it in front of their clients). Clay must have grown up feeling very unsafe. That's why he enjoys the power he feels over them, he says as much. I reckon that's also why he chooses women, to make sure they're weak enough to not put up much of a fight. A coward as well as a scumbag.

FBI says at any given time there are 25-50 active serial killers in the USA alone. Probably countless more in countries that don't have the resources to track them. I am certain that there are serial killers who have left the US and other countries and go to countries in southeast Asia, South and Central America, Mexico, eastern Europe, Africa, etc. to kill freely or just vacation there specifically to kill. Think about how easy it is to get away with murder in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, or Mexico where they have huge gang problems and cartels and not enough police who aren't on a gang or cartel payroll to investigate crimes, especially a dead prostitute. Risk is that serial killers, unless they are hitmen or cartel affiliated locals, are usually not actually tough people, they usually prey on the weak where as gang killing hardens you as a person and its very matter of fact and part of every day business, so some soft white guy from the USA isn't going to have a good experience in prison with real, hardened criminals. El Salvador or Honduras that is a very bad situation. Unless the killer has ties to high level organized crime they probably aren't walking out of one of those prisons. Gangs like to show that they have some sort of and ethical code so if you kill women, children, abuse or rape women or children, especially as a white guy in someone else's country, you're probably going to be made example of.

The way he addressed Howard as Howard so particularly. He's definitely very stuck in himself. He finds that anytime he addressed hiward it was especially tense when Howard made a mistake and hated to repeat himself. He considers himself to be better than most. Hates the fact that he cant control his own anger and killing. Hes definitely someone who likes to watch himself and vein. If you challenge him he will articulate himself in the utmost manner and likely the last person that youd realize. Probably very reserved and very quiet in regular life. But when he knows something for sure he will fight the point and only the point because he eas put down alot as a youth. His mother was probably a prostitute or whoever took care of him. He refuses to address Robyn by name if at all. But makes sure to pull authority eith Howard as much as possible. If they had someone to analyze his behavior and soeach during this call they would have caught him immediately.
