In this BBC Radio 4 full-cast drama, Bill Nighy stars as Charles Paris, an actor and amateur sleuth whose life takes an unexpected turn during the filming of a TV detective series, "The Stanislaus Braid Mysteries." Charles, known for his struggles with alcohol and his complicated relationship with his estranged wife Frances, portrayed by Suzanne Burden, is drawn into a real-life mystery when a fellow actress, Lisa Stokes, is found dead on set. Initially believed to be an accident, Charles suspects foul play and begins to investigate the death.
