I also got my fascination with these sculptures from watching the movie Fracture. Your work is incredibly beautiful!!! I wouldn't even know where to start on a project like that, and I don't think people have a clue how much work it takes. The completed work of art is incredible, and hypnotizing, almost like a form of artful meditation. Thanks for making this short film. 🖤👌😍
The more I watch your vids, the more I want to build my own. I even have my own marbles now! Mostly for childhood nostalgia for the way I used to play with them with other kids. But, these vids make me want to do something more than just use them for games.
Good morning Robert, I started looking at your work on line when your Mum told me about the medical sculptures you had been asked to make. I knew you had artistic talant when I saw your pen line drawing, some of which I proudly hang in my home. Being off work this week and not being able to go outside as I'm crook (NZ slang for sick) I have been searching for your work here on RU-vid. Your kinetic art is just stunning. Maybe one day you will visit me here in NZ...............Uncle Richard.
Your video inspired me. Lastnight Ì ordered 6-- 84" --304 S Steel rods. Ì went in search of some other materials today. Hope you can answer my questions. 🙄 Why were your track clamps made to hold 3 rods and where did you find them? What motor do you use for the spiral lift? Do you have to use filler wire with the TIG? Very nice work😎
Hi there, thanks for your message / questions, I’m glad to have inspired you. 1. I make my own track clamps. I think the ones you’ve seen were made to use with different sized balls (for different track gauges) 2. Nowadays I mainly use wiper motors as my sculptures are often quite big. Smaller 12v gearmotors around 4rpm are very good and strong (and cheap on eBay). 3. Yes I use some filler wire at times, but most of the track welding doesn’t require it. Good luck!!
@@robertmoore8Hi I recently discovered the world of rolling ball sculpture and your channel, it inspired me to build a rolling ball sculpture myself I saw the comment where you said you build your own track clamps and I was hoping you can make a tutorial on how to build them?
