When I saw this in the indie world, I was absolutely blown away by the visuals and the audio, and bought it right away. Although I finished it in an hour, I find this has to be one of the best and most charming gaming experiences I've had in 2020.

I reached the peak of the mountain within a few hours but I know there’s still plenty to explore...I absolutely love how open it is and the graphics kinda remind of DS graphics which also makes it a bit nostalgic

After playing Animal Crossing New Horizons for more than 300hrs i needed a break, picked this game up for $7 and beat it like in 3hrs. I was blown away by its visuals and story I really felt like some of these characters really cared about me and wanted me to get to the top of the mountain hike. I definitely would not return this game.

Reached the peak in a couple of hours. But man were those two hours awsome! And i still am discovering new things as i play along. A relaxing, go-at-your-own-pace game with a whole lot of charm.

I played this earlier and thought it was brilliant - animal crossing + breath of the wild with more than a touch of Journey too. Well worth the price

This is one of my favorite games. I signed up for steam to buy it on my Mac, but never really played it much (because I have a switch) and hoped it would come to the switch. I bought it immediately! Gameplay/Story - 20/20 Controls - 20/20 Visuals 20/20 Audio 20/20 Value 20/20 100% - A Masterpiece! Pros - It's fun. - It's funny - It's interesting Cons - We live in a privileged society that takes joys like this for granted.

This game is brilliant. I bought it and wasn't sure if I'd really like it even though I loved this art style, but MAN it's so beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyable. So much charm and love put into the game, moving around is fun, dialogue is great, art style is phenomenal, the music is relaxing, man I love this game.

I feel the exact same way! I love the music and I wasn’t sure on the graphics but I’ve grown to love it. I just finished getting to the top of the mountain today and now I’m replaying it. This is a cool game

I absolutely love this game! Each character (even though their dialogue is limited) has their own personality like the struggling college student who sells golden feathers to pay tuition and the aspiring artist who fell in a slump of depression because of peer pressure. This game is a joy! I would pay twice as much as the game costs to buy it!

I really enjoyed this first look format. Brief but you hit gameplay, controls, visuals, sound, and game length. In 6 minutes i got a quick but thorough first impression. A+

got this for free on my PC about when it originally launched. probably one of my favorite experiences this year, up there with Animal Crossing and Persona 5R.

Great idea with these 2hr impressions! Got A Short Hike yesterday, couldn't believe how cheap it was! Haven't played it yet, but the visuals totally reminds me of the DS 3D style graphics. Hearing the soundtrack play in your video was glorious, so will definitely play with headphones :)

I have this on PC and it got me through some vary anxious nights a few months back. It's the perfect game if you want to de-stress for a few hours. The one complaint I had was that the keyboard controls weren't great, so I bet playing it on a Switch with a controller makes for an even better experience.

"Would I refund?" ties in so perfect with your coined phrase "Lets Find Out." Brilliant series idea! Love the content lads.

I remember when I got to the final stretch of the hike... With the cold wind and the suspenseful music, with those piano keys hitting cold, hard notes, combined with the fact it is the most "dangerous" area of the game, it seemed like the stakes were higher, and I felt tension, I even teared up a bit while scaling those desolate cliffs, striked by the cold wind and the frostbite. Reaching the top really paid off.

The biggest and perhaps only drawback to this game is the frickin camera suddenly swooping around randomly at some times. It's bizarre.

Ooh. The music shift you showed off gave me chills. This game looks like such a nice, fun little piece. Almost like an art form to me, really.

Yes, yes I very much like this style of quick review. Maybe a monthly “refund roundup” where you give a bit more info as to if you played the two hours and stopped or have dumped 50 hours into it, is it still as good five hours in or whatnot.

I really enjoyed the "Would I refund?" approach. It really comes down to whether or not you, the reviewer gives ample support for your opinion/conclusion in the end. And the summation "would" or "wouldn't" really boils it down to what we want to know: Do you recommend the game? Great idea IMO.

Getting here a couple of years later, but today (more like yesterday for me) is the best time to play this little secret gem of indie 👏 Not only I liked the graphics, but after actually playing it, I completely ADORED the style. The “pixel art” is so perfect that it manages to make me feel nostalgic. The atmosphere is so serene and in perfect synch with the music that it managed to make me calm after a terrible day 🥹 And it reminded me of how I felt when I first played Hollow Knight with the dialogues and the characters. An absolute DO NOT MISS if you’re into cozy games. And even if you’re not, this is one that deserves to be experienced, as it is as calming and peaceful as you might need 😍

I’m noticing your thumbnails look aesthetically different. More professional. I almost didn’t recognize them while scrolling through my subsciptions. Love it. Keep improving mates!

Got it today and I loved it. I love the visual style and I agree, the soundtrack is so damn goooooood. The ending made me almost tear up, it’s so sweet. Worth every penny. Gonna hop back in get every single secret and little event there is to do! Great video!

Love the idea for a series. Much like Steam's one size fits all refund policy not every game can be fairly evaluated in two hours but I trust you guys to know the difference.

I like the idea of the new keep or refund. One caveat is if you play more and your opinion changes, an update or full review would be nice.

I loved this game, and listen to the OST so often when I'm doing my 3D art stuff. I played it honestly maybe for three days total? But it was such a fantastic experience, so relaxing and felt good to explore and find new things.

I've been following this game since last year and was always interested whenever the dev gave updates on the game but for some reason I never got it for pc. But your review convinced me to get it on switch! Really love the added touch of them adding the boat in the switch version then updated it to pc haha

I got this game for free in the Epic Store a long time ago, but I hadn’t touched it at all. Then the Indie World happens and they announce it. It piqued my interest so I went and tried it out on PC. After like 10 minutes of playing it, I stopped playing and said “No, this is a Switch game. It’s definitely a Switch game.” So I went out (mask on, of course) to deposit some cash in my card and bought it today. I love this game so much already, and I am happy to have supported the indie dev! I love these micro reviews, man! Please keep on doing them, they’re brilliant. 💙

Great new series! I played this a few months back thanks to an EGS freebie. Lovely little experience that made me feel all warm n' fuzzy inside, then sad when it ended. I would have said a tenner was the right price for this, so just over half that is a bargain. Great relaxing game to play on a rainy day.

Lovely review and interesting format. However, the "refund" theme has a negative connotation (for me at least) that might set the wrong tone. What about something like "2 hour impression" or "refund or recommend" instead? Just an idea. Great work as always guys and I love the channel

Bought it yesterday, Isunk a couple of hours in it first play, I didn't want to get to the summit as the game made me smile too much and I didn't want it to end but there is so much to discover so was able to pad it out.

I just purchased the game after watching this review. GREAT series, and I look forward to watching more.
