A Short History of Radar 

This is the most interesting “history of maths” discussion I have ever heard. Call Netflix at once, make your movie, all would be nerds across the world need your articulate descriptions as a call to arms! Thank you very much for this lecture.

The Fnglish invented radar in Februar 1935. Others invented it much earlier !

My understanding is heavyside put the Maxwell equations in the form we most often see. Maxwell came up with the ideas and heavyside put them in a form that could be handled in a more practical sense.

Sounds like german radar was weak? Why flak was pointed so good? Half of allied losses was cause of flak fire.

The radio was invented by a handful of people, Tesla and Marconi being big players.

Not Marconi but Tesla is thr inventor of Radio. In 1943 US supreme court ruled that all of Marconi’s patents got invalid and awarded the patents for radio to Tesla.

This is a brilliant lecture. I should consider inviting this academic to Japan.

Didn't Marconi steal his radio from Tesla, in any matter, why isn't Tesla even mentioned here?

This issue should be addressed without bias. This lecture by M.r Budd is wildly inaccurate and not an authority. He doesn't accept others contributed to the invention of radar, in some cases more than Britain He doesn't accept the magnetron and cavity magnetron existed before Randall/Boot’s. However, Randall/Boot’s gave significant advantage to the allied war effort, due to power output/ overcoming frequency drift. But they didn't invent it .They obviously studied Hollmanns 1935 patent . This is an attempt to re-write history inaccurately..The Professor has not explained the development of radar correctly and accordingly reached inaccurate conclusions..

Hitler's huge mistake was not giving Israel to the Jewish people in 1933. Then he would have had radar, atomic theory and on and on. Very stupid politics. Now of course England is not a hero anymore, and Germany is. Human nature has to be added to economics to understand history. Good lecture.
