People might compare this to A silent voice but it’s only because they have a deaf character. In this Yuki, the FL doesn’t get bullied. It’s just a healing kind of show. So sweet and the main couple is the best I have seen since Fruba. Also it set in college! Something else I love about this series is how they show the sign language. Everytime the fl reads the character’s lips wrong the text are backward. It’s really nice detail I hope they somehow put in this adaptation too. Anyways what I wanna say is give this show a watch when it airs!
When I first saw this trailer, I knew I had to keep this anime in mind. Now, only five episodes have aired so far, but I think this show has staying power. Many cute moments with engaging characters. Yuki and Itsuomi are too precious. Just a gorgeous anime in multiple ways.

I honestly cannot thanks them to make such heartfelt anime! My heart felt flushed with emotions. They did so well to illustrate the emotions and portraits each character is so unique, like the awkwardness, excitement, doubt and confusion. And such details showing how important body language since girl lead has disability ❤❤❤
I'm more a shounen guy and I never watched this type of animes before. However, started to watch it and god is this good. I like that the story is not typical and goes straight to the point. A really relaxing and beautiful anime
Anime series or film? Perhaps I am biased and although the subject is different, the starting point is the same: a deaf girl. It will be very difficult to match and/or surpass 'Koe no katachi' because the comparison will be there, it will be made by everyone. Was it necessary to have another deaf girl, knowing that we were bumping into a masterpiece? explore and describe other difficulties? a blind boy? bipolar twins? a mute but not deaf person? autism? schizophrenia? I think it would have been better. We shall see. Excuse my English. Ciao
That is ONE ANIME! We need more deaf characters, female and male, not less! It's gonna be a series, and both anime are quite different. No bullying, no Bullies to Lovers, no suicide (attempt), etc.
@@19Rena96 I believe there is a need for anime to speak out about every difficulty, not just deafness; a blind person is no less than a deaf person and vice versa... I haven't seen this anime yet but surely you have, since you express your opinion with such vehemence and certainty. Rather, I believe that everyone's opinion is valid, without asserting yourself as the 'proclaimer of undisputed truth' as you want to appear. Instead of criticising others so snootily, you should read what they write well: I immediately assumed that the anime (or film) in question was different from 'Koe no katachi' but that it had the same incipit: the girl's deafness, and you can 'proclaim' all you want but this is an undeniable truth. Forget words like 'bullying', 'suicide', etc; just leave it alone and get a grip. Ciao.
Yes there will be comparasions but it’s not like anime fans don’t already compare stuff. Both A sign of affection and A silent voice explores different perspectives of deafness in different ways and people should be able to appreciate both sides. And not be like you and gatekeep it. I have seen many people who like a silent voice also come to appreciate a sign of affection. Also I haven’t seen a silent voice in a while but since the guy was the protagonist, it didn’t focus on the girl that much. But in a sign of affection Yuki is protagonist and we see more in her perspective and how strong she is and doesn’t need to be felt bad for. Learn to appreciate different sides of something

I just expressed my opinion: I'd like to see other things too, that the story starts from other assumptions. That's no good? Did I write something wrong? I've been watching anime since 1977 and I've seen a very, very many of them and I understand what you mean when you write about the opinion that we all have and the ability to go further. I agree but that doesn't mean that there are so many other subjects to explore and that's what I hope. That's all.
@@meomeo3449 there is nothing wrong to want to see other disabilities (you can read Veil if you want a blind character) but my problem is that you made it sound like only one show should have a deaf character when both of them show us different perspectives. The author choose to have her fl be a deaf and mute girl so she can show how just because she is deaf, doesn’t mean we should be pitying her. The author done a lot of research before this and talked with actually deaf people. You should give it a watch and you might come to appreciate it different way than ASV. There really no point arguing since you haven’t even experienced A sign of affection. I just want people to appreciate both differently and not be comparing them
