I loved switching up the places of my furniture in my bedroom when I was a child even though my mom didn't like that I did that😅😂 But for several years now I don't have the possibility to, because my rooms were layout in a way that any other arrangement would have been unpractical in a certain way. But I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who just likes to move the furniture in the room to change it up a little from time to time :) Turned out great :)
Omg me too!! I swear literally every month I was shifting something around, I used to drive my mother crazy with worry because I was so tiny (as an adult I’m 5”2 and 112lbs) and she couldn’t understand how I managed to move everything, she always thought I was going to end up with the dresser on me or something 😂
Looks great.. love that you are starting to develop a more "minimalistic" mentality 😊. I have moved 17x since I was 18yrs old most of which until I had my first kid at 33 (I am now 50 😭). Also abroad, where I still am for now. And I travel/mainly with a backpack, all over the world during my vaccinations. This has always made me so "disconnected" to stuff, EXCEPT my memorabilia which Is from childhood and travels. I always make a home cosy. Even if it is using secondhand furniture from recycle/the street.. a few rugs, curtains, throws, pillows, plants and pictures on the wall work magic. ..loving your new life direction..travel, experience new life experiences while you can 😊. Ps. I would put the picture over the bed, the other way around ie landscape. Not portrait. Because it would look better above the long headboard and I feel the ladies would look better in landscape.
I have lived in my house for 40 years and get so much pleasure out of shopping my rooms when having a change around. You can come up with so many changes. I always look forward to a Hermoine video.
Love your take on how to freshen up your space, 100% agree with you on tiring of how fast home decor trends are cycling these days ... moving around the furniture is always a better solution than buying all new stuff!
Would you consider putting the door hinges on the opposite side? So you won't have to squeeze past your lovely couch each time? Maybe extending the curtain rods so drapes are not so squashed on either side and you can take advantage of the natural light. Love the mobile.
Its always the a wonderful day when I get to see your posts! Love the way the room came together for you. And definitely keep up with the oil on your raw wood furniture. Then try again later to gently sand it again. It will benefit from this.
Rearranging furniture is therapeutic. I was taught many years ago not to put artwork with a glass frame on the wall behind the bed just in case it falls down and the glass shatters. I like the room except for all of the bags hanging on the back of the door.
I love moving furniture and stuff around , I think I drive Jason mad moving things around cos he can never find anything 🤣 but it's worth it. The room looks lovely well done xx
Loveee how healthy & nice your hair looks! I get in this mood all the time where I want to move my house around, my fiancé hates when I do it! But it’s fun to see rooms different ways, can always put it back. I would have put the sofa facing the window so you could just sit, look out and chill but probably not so aesthetically pleasing on the eye, but for comfort! X
Looks really cute. It’s funny tho, I would have hung the beach picture horizontally (1/4 turn). Would that look funny with the middle gal’s legs pointing straight up out of the headboard? Just curious. Love your videos.
I love moving furniture!!! Just really changes a room and your outlook on a space!! Sadly I live in a house ….27 years…where moving the furniture in some rooms is an impossibility no matter how much thought I put into it!! Those rooms I just paint and change fabrics!!! Can’t wait for your Xmas videos this year!!! 18:56
I wish I could move my room around, there just isn't any way to do it 😔. I love your mini make over it really does make the room look bigger and more spacious
I just subscribed. I LOVE rearranging my house and now I'm so happy to have found your channel. My sons used to say, "Mom, you have a problem" whenever they had to help me. They're grown and gone now and I'm just as happy to rearrange by myself when my husband is at work (he doesn't get it either).
Oh Hermione, I love how you switched out the bedroom, it feels more cozy and open and it seems to work for the time being. You are really good at moving furniture, I like doing that also even though sometimes it can be very tiring. I hope that you have a great day. stay safe and happy, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😂😉🤗💜💜💜💞💖
I've always loved moving my furniture around lol. When I was growing up, my Mom would often times find me in my room in the wee hours of the morning, (on the opposite end of the home from their bedroom) moving my bedroom furniture around. I still do this since I've been a home owner in different homes lololol. A little tip for you, they do sell furniture moving kits with pads that you put under the "feet" of furniture pieces for hard floors and carpet that makes moving them so easy, they just glide across the floor. I always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing ! 🥰🦃🍃🍁🍂💗✝
I really like your sofa but I am supper glad I got the kivik. I was trying to decide between a chaisesectional like yours or the kivik and I have to say before purchase I never thought about the thick arms being so nice to set things on.
I am really loving this new series of you figuring things out! It’s so relatable! I am obsessed with the print above the bed, where is it from? It’s gorgeous! And the room turned out amazing! 🥰
Looks good, Hermione. ♥ You have inspired me to do some furniture shifting of my own. 😊 So...did you move out of your London flat? If so, what did you do with all your furniture there...or does it all belong to the flat? But...your Smeg fridge?? In storage, maybe?
If you removed the bedside table on the right side of the bed, you could scoot the dresser over a bit and give yourself more room to enter? Love moving furniture - it makes such a difference for nothing!
You could get rid of the side table next to the dresser and then just push the dresser closer to the bed. There’s too many pieces of furniture against just one wall, and you’ll be able to open the door fully, too.
Would be helpful if someone had room to store your sofa in its dismantled state if necessary. A couple of mattress storage bags i.e single and double/kingsize would protect it.
I used to switch furniture around all the time as a teenager, but in my tiny apartment it always ends up less practical then before and I end up moving it back 😅
Could you maybe think tomorrow morning that you’d like me to win the lottery or for nakey Jason Momoa to magically appear in my bedroom with pancakes? 🙏😂
I wish I could rearrange my furniture. My mom used to always move stuff around in our home. It was exciting to come home and find something new and different! Your space looks comfy and inviting!
Not anymore! Although it belongs to family so I have left a lot of my furniture in there for now 💖 it might pop up in a video at some point soon! I really need to sit down and talk all about it properly soon!
