Sunny, simple spring days in Oslo. We have cauliflower soup for dinner with leftover bread, receive a package from Spain, go to a flea market, do some training with Mochi.
These lovely moments with Mochi and her headless humans (but, they do have voices!) are quickly becoming my favorite times of the week! The reminders to appreciate the “ordinary” beauty all around us, which is really quite extraordinary when you focus on it; and the frequent expressions of optimism and gratitude give me the warmest smile, which starts in my heart and spreads through every fiber of my being. Thank you Mochi and her family!
Wow, your comment made me smile- I feel like you really understand me and what I want to achieve with these videos. I am so happy you are enjoying these small moments from our lives, and took the time to write this sweet comment. It made my day! 🥰❤️ Wish you a peaceful weekend ✨
Great video, as always! The wall decoration is delicious, I would absolutely leave it. I can't wait to see Mochi on his bike with his ears in the wind❤
About the wall hanging that you purchased at the Flea Market-- I've seen similar pieces here in my part of America. They sell for $30 to $100. I live in the eastern part of North Dakota where many people can trace their heritage to Norway or Sweden. That is, their grandparents or great-grandparents moved here to North Dakota from Norway or Sweden in 1860's to 1890's. Scandinavian decor, especially the older traditional items such as your wall hanging, are very popular here.
Oh wow- Thank you for the information. I had no idea these things were popular and that they sell for that much in the US. Over here they are so common, it only cost me about 3 US dollars. Wish you a peaceful weekend! ❤️
My grandparents were 100% Norwegian and grew up on farms in North Dakota before they moved to Minnesota where I was born and raised. The instant I saw this decoration, it reminded me of my grandma. She made me one like it with my name as part of the design. Now I wish I’d kept it, of course! Though it was all in my teen-age bedroom color-purple!
@WellEditedCo That’s amazing! And I live that your grandmother made you something similar with your name - in purple! How very special ❤️ Love from Oslo
Nice video and hello Mochi. I rather like the wall hanging and it fits the space nicely. It's somewhat resembles some Native American art. Maybe Mr. J will slowly adjust to it like Mochi with the basket.
Thank you! And I agree- about the resemblance to Native American art. It’s is fascinating - I have noticed that old traditional art, have many similarities across the world.
Hi Princess Mochi! If you’re the food safety inspector, I’m the food taster here in our house. I would love to seen you in the basket soon with your ears flopping! The wall hanging is beautiful and I would buy one in a heartbeat. The chorizo spread with melted cheese on top looks divine! Hugs from Baby Boo and her introverted dad❤😊
The flea market money goes to ... the BAND at school??? The BAND??? Not the football team? ❤❤❤ That made my day. (It's also how you can tell this isn't the USA.) [And you still have the cutest doggie]
Yes- it’s very sweet that the money goes to the band, right? All these kids playing instruments, and going on trips get to shine🤩❤️ Mochi sends to doggy kisses from Oslo 🐶🥰
In most of the US, bands have to raise their own money while the (American) football teams get all they need as part of the budget. So this didn’t surprise me at all. The parents and teachers do the fundraising. My husband just retired from teaching band for 30 years. 😊
I like the hanging. It’s in a perfect place. The blend of modern and traditional pieces creates a nice effect I think. The hanging adds a bit of whimsy to that wall. 😊
The wall hanging is beautiful and is in the right place.Somebody put time and labor on it and it iş nice to see it every time you walk to the door. Please keep it there.
I love the wall decoration. It's perfect in your home. That would be fun to take Mochi on a bike ride. Thanks for sharing your meal ideas. Keep shining bright.
Oh how sweet was that, I adore Moochi, so loveable, you are so loving and patient with her. Oslo in spring is picture perfect. The locals seem to really appreciate the warmer weather all out and about enjoying the sunshine. I really loved the video, as always, thank you for making beautiful Norway available to me. Judy 🇦🇺
Thank you for your nice comments all the way from Australia! It makes me very happy to be able to share snippets of my life with people around the world. 😃 When you live with winters like ours, you really learn to appreciate spring and summer. Whenever the weather is nice, we feel bad if we’re staying inside. It feels wasteful 😂
@@introvert-and-dog I can imagine that one would not to waste a moment of that beautiful weather after a long, cold winter. Today, Sunday, was Mothers’ Day here in Australia and my daughter visited me with her two dogs. Levi, black Labrador, same litter brother to my Monique, and Daisy golden Labrador, same litter sister to my Maggie. My daughter and I just sat out in my suburban back yard, sat on our plastic garden chairs, enjoyed our gentle autumn sunshine, and watched our four puppies playing. Very ordinary, very simple but perfect. How blessed am I.
@judyhutchison6949 The scene you describe from your backyard sounds wonderful. Watching dogs play and while enjoying just being outside. I can see it so clearly in my head! 😀 We often don’t need much to feel happy.
Hi from Maryland in America! I love your videos ❤ I think the traditional decoration looks lovely by the door! 🤗 also, Mochi is the sweetest dog! Thank you for the calming and lovely video ☺️☺️
So glad to have found your channel. Really dig your visual and storytelling style. Perhaps one day share what you use to film and edit and your process? Oh, and just sprinkle some treats Mr. J likes around the wall decoration.
Ps, yes maybe the filming / editing process can be a video one day, if it’s not too boring to watch. I just use my phone to film, and edit on iMovie, so nothing fancy at all.
@@introvert-and-dog Well, very nicely done with the setup you have! Goes to show one's own style and approach is as important (if not more) than the tools.
I like the wall hanging! 😊 if Mr J doesn’t approve.. it could go somewhere like the bathroom or back of the toilet door so you can get a glimpse of something traditional. Thanks for another great vlog. I can see Mochi in the basket enjoying a ride in the future 😁
Great input about the decoration! Maybe put it in another place would be a good idea! I do hope Mochi will like riding in the basket! ❤️🐶 Hugs to you from Oslo!
Thank you for another peak into your life. I like the wall hanging and you hung it in a perfect location. Granny Chic or Granny Core decor are on trend. Hugs to Mochi! It is 3am here and I woke up and ran outside to see the northern lights that are expected, but sadly I live in the middle of the city and there is too much artificial light that makes it impossible to see. Instead I watched your video 😄
Granny chic and granny core! I love that the trend have these wonderful names! 🥰 Too bad about the northern lights! We never see it here in Oslo on the rare occasions it is supposed to be visible here due to all the city lights. Mochi sends doggy kisses! 🐶💖✨
Hey guys! Another lovely video! It's always great to receive notifications from your channel! Have an amazing weekend ahead! Cheers from Brazil! Ps.: Mochi is the cutest!
🧡Another lovely video. The blossoms in the park are breathtakingly beautiful. How many people will rush by without looking? Fleetingly indeed. Only to be enjoyed in the moment. Best wishes to you 3 🙏🌟🌟🌟🧡
After a long and hard hard week you arrived. Mochi, the pink cherries blossom, the golden bread, a piece of tradition on the wall (please keep it). Alberto, Guga and Pepa send love to dear Mochi, I wish you a very peaceful weekend.
I love how every video is telling a story. You’re a great story teller and a videographer. And your choice of music is spot on. Mochi is a very smart girl!
Thank you for sharing these snippets from your life, they make us celebrate the ordinary too. 🫶🏻 And the decoration does look absolutely lovely! 🙂♥️ Warmest wishes to you all. ✨
Every month in nature has its glory moment ❤. Another beautiful video and I love the wall hanging. Mixing modern and older historical pieces add a sense of ageless atmosphere. Lovely video ❤
I'm sooo glad the algorithm brought you to me earlier this month and I've been enjoying your vlogs so much (: I have a little dog myself whose size is little bit like Mochi and now she's sleeping next to me while I'm watching this in a slow afternoon in Spain. Thank you and have a lovely weekend (:
The scene you describe with your dog sleeping next to you while you are watching put a smile on my face! I can see it in my head. What a precious scene! Lots of love from Oslo to Spain to you and your dog ❤️
Pauline and bichon Tony greet Mochi and her owners from the Czech Republic. Another great video. Tony also rides a bicycle in a basket. It's a strange feeling to see similar things on the market in Oslo that I know from my grandparents' household. Thank you❤
Make Mr J some fried eggs with chorizo and he will see the Norwegian decoration with different eyes. We call that "conquering someone by the stomach." I try to put a harness on my cat to take her out to the garden but I don't have much success most of the time, it ends up becoming a comical situation 😅
@@introvert-and-dogAs you can see, the trick of conquering people through their stomach is foolproof 😅. It will be great to see Mochi enjoying a bike ride with her ears in the wind. It will be like a remake of the scene from the movie Titanic 😅. I imagine the background music, that famous song: "I believe I can fly, I believe I can Touch the sky..."😄🎶🎶
I usually eat it on toasted bread., without the cheese. But actually after seeing you doing that, I can’t wait to try it 😂 .You should try zuparra de lomo roja. It’s delicious too. A bit milder taste, but I think you will love it 😍
Привет из холодной России ❤ Я получаю огромное удовольствие от ваших видео. Смотрю их вместе со своей собакой. Моти чудесная принцесса. Процветания каналу💕
I love your vlog and cannot wait for each episode! Your lovely point of view and gorgeous images make each episode so wonderful and calming. My English Springer, Daisy loooves Mochi. She rushes to the screen when I say Mochi’s name! Thank you for sharing your life with us .
What a nice comment to wake up to, thank you! I love the part where you write about Daisy who rushes to the screen when you say Mochi’s name. That is so very sweet! As gentle as Mochi is, there is one thing she doesn’t like, and that is dogs on TV! She barks and gets anxious. In that sense, I wish she was more like Daisy! Sending you warm greetings from Oslo from all of us!
The Spring Time is there....have fun and enjoy the season !!....here in southamerica we are welcome the fall with rain.....how I love the little Princess Mochi
Ohhhh no the video ended! I so enjoyed it! I love the look Mochi gave you when you showed her the basket; sort of like, "you've got to be kidding me!" Thank you for another soothing, peaceful and life affirming vlog. Happy weekend to you all! (and especially to our girl Mochi)
Haha, Mochi’s look when I showed her the basket! 😂 She was like- Why on earth did you put my treats in there?! I’m so glad you enjoy my videos! Happy weekend to you too. Mochi sends doggy kisses! 🐶💖✨
Feliz semana 😘✨💞
It’s true, the light here in spring feels special- After so many months of darkness and cold, the light has returned and is both soft and intense. Not only nature is waking up, but also the people😂 I agree 100% on your view of the artwork. It’s about feelings. Some things don’t really have a price in Euros or kroner. Wish you a peaceful week ahead❤
You did so well in training Mochi and give her time 😊 it would be so cool to see you two cruising on the bike. Have a nice sunday my friends from Norway ❤️
Hello from a fellow introvert in the UK 👋 I have watched all your videos over the last couple of days. Such a slow and relaxed way of life clearly suits all 3 of you and I can resonate so much. So many people just seem to live life in the fast lane and want everything done yesterday . I love people watching also and a weekend morning just sitting in a coffee shop is absolute bliss. Cooking a nice meal as well as Getting to spend time on my own outside going for a walk are two of my other simple pleasures. Mochi is such a gorgeous, well behaved dog, I can see why you love her to bits. We would love to get a dog but it hasn’t happened yet. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you
Greetings from Oslo! Thank you for taking the time to write this thoughtful and kind comment, it made me smile. You sound like a kindred spirit! I enjoy doing all the things you mention. Taking it easy and enjoying life in the slow lane is seriously underrated. I used to feel bad / ashamed for being a homebody or going for solo walks, or even solo traveling (when I was single). But now I own it! And it’s really nice to connect with like minded people from different countries through this vlog. I honestly never thought it would appeal to many people.
If you like chorizo and sobrasada, maybe you should try the italian "soppressata", from our region Calabria. It's not spreadble but very spicy🙂. Mochi is a very brave girl, thanks to your lovely patience ❤. P.S. I like the hanging on the wall😃
I watched your beautiful video on the sofa, with a good coffee in my hand, and I literally relaxed!!! I love that wall decoration, very beautiful and vintage🥰. I always find the atmosphere of your videos, very cosy and then Mochi is wonderful, I have to ask Bob if he wants to marry her 😂😂😂 Big hug 🫶🏻🍀
Haha! Mochi and Bob would be a sweet couple! Bob could take Mochi to all hus favorite bars in Berlin!!😂❤️ Ps! It’s a nice vibe that we are watching each other’s videos often with a cup of coffee and relaxing. I love that! Hugs back from Oslo, which today is very sunny! 💖🐶
You are close to 9K subscribers already 🎉 This was another delightful video - all the blossoms bursting out everywhere and so much greenness! Food for the soul! 😊 I absolutely LOVE how patient and gentle you are when teaching/exposing Mochi to anything new - and that you are making healthy, homemade treats for her (no nasty additives, colourants, preservatives, sugars) that are added to most commercial treats) 🫶🏻 Her long term health and vitality will be your reward. She will eventually love being able to enjoy cycle rides with you! Your patient perseverance will pay off. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! We have lots of cloud and scattered showers today. Our winter season starts next month. It’s our rainy season (Mediterranean climate @ the tip of Africa).
You said it well: All this greenness is really food for the soul- It just very healing and soothing. ❤️ If Mochi has taught me something, it’s patience. I think that’s a valuable lesson for all areas of my life to be honest. I know from all the times I’ve rushed things with her, that it’s counter intuitive. It’s has to be done in her own time. I hope she will eventually enjoy sitting in the basket like she enjoys our bus rides. But if she doesn’t, that’s OK too. I often think we humans expect so many things from our dogs. And the home made snacks is actually cheaper than the store bought ones- which as you say are full of preservatives. So I will continue making them, as it’s so easy, and our princess loves them🐶💖 Your winter in the tip of Africa is perhaps quite mild? Or do you ever get snow? Anyway, I wish you a peaceful week ahead. Mochi sends you her love all the way from Norway 💖✨🐶
Thank you for your love, beautiful little Mochi - I’m sending so much right back to you ❤❤❤❤❤ And I’m so happy to know your Dad understands that you cannot be forced or rushed into anything. You are a very fortunate little puplet 🫶🏻 Yes, we do get snow in South Africa - but our temperatures never plummet to those you experience. Where I live, our winters are milder, but we still feel the cold and dress up warmly. Our average lowest temperature during the coldest month (July) is 11 degrees Celsius. The highest average temperature is 20 degrees during the same month.
Wow, baking treats for Mochi! You are amazing. How cute was that to bring her into biking hihihi Don´t worry, she will get used to it. She is a sweety :*
I like the wall hanging, and it looks nice where you put it. Life seems so much simpler in Oslo than where I live in the USA. I hope to live in a less populated place someday. 🐕🦺
Thank you! 💖 Life over here can be complicated too- i just try to prioritize to live a quiet life and not chase too much money or status. That just burns me out.
Such a nice video again, thanks for sharing! The wall hanging is old-fashioned, but pretty and solidly handcrafted. Perhaps it would look more modern if the hanging were different, for example a wooden strip instead of the curved metal?
Per me sta benissimo la decorazione appesa al muro😬😬ma i gusti non sono tutti uguali. Bellissimi i mercatini dell'antiquariato si trovano piccoli tesori😊
Yes, everyone has a different taste, Mr. J. still does not like it. So I will take it down, but I am going to put it somewhere he doesn't see it every day. Haha
I just discovered your awesome channel, soo warm and hearthy, love the perspective of your everyday life, makes all of us that follow you, appreciated our ordinary, simple and quiet lives. Love all the aestheticof your Home and your content. I love Mochi, How old is She?, she is soo sweet, i myself have two JRTs, Oliver and Sophie, they make my life better and happier! Have a wonderful day! PS: I think the norwegian wall art, looks really pretty!🙃
That sounds nice, to have two JRTs! I imagine it must be nice for them to have each other for company. Thanks for your very kind message and welcome to my channel! Mochi says Hello to Oliver and Sophie!🐶❤️
I like the traditional decoration. Maybe is a little dusty and that is what make it look old fashioned, but I think that the lively colors can look modern too.
