[Instructional Book] Paracord Fusion Ties Volume 2: amzn.to/2WPecU2
This week, instead of showing one of my (fusion knotting) designs, I'm demonstrating a relatively simple and generally overlooked means of attaching a side release buckle to a paracord strap or bracelet. Not requiring a jig to complete, the technique is a handy one to know, especially if seeking to make quickly reproducible paracord ties (with buckles). p.s. This same technique can be used to add buckles to most my designs.

Man, this takes me back! When I was around 11 or 12 years old, I learned how to make these for myself. But then, many people I knew became interested in them, so I started making and selling bracelets around my church! It was my first side hustle, and I remember coming back to these videos to learn new options to sell. I really appreciate you for making these tutorials all those years ago, and I hope that you are doing well today! Blessings…

Nice work. Thank you for sharing this method. Own both volumes of "Paracord Fusion Ties", I love the easy to follow photos. I recently made several bracelets for my daughter's ice skating team. I made the "Thin line Solomon Bar" with a their logo on a shoe charm. I used a thinner diameter cord for the Solomon Bar (in black) and the line was in 550 cord (in tar heel blue). It turned out very nice and all the girls liked them.

We bought the book but this was so much more helpful in comprehending the length needed. We actually completed our first while watching this video.

Wow! Great video, pure genius! Your videos are always so clear and easy to follow. Thank you for making videos that allow enough time between steps so that people can follow along. Your books would make awesome Christmas gifts, too.

Uuuugggghhhhh!!!! Its soooo simple!! It's always been right there... Staring me in the face! Yet, I've untied and retied dozens and dozens of projects because I estimated the length wrong... Just a little bit! Seriously! I love you for making this video, but why didn't you make it like a year ago?!? LOL! You're a genious JD!

THANK YOU!!! For weeks I've tried puzzling this out. Not just attaching side buckles to a bracelet but to do it with two lines without fusing them together. When you lay it out it seems so obvious, but I've spent Oct. and Nov. trying to figure it out. Again. Thank you.

Do you have video showing general ways to attach your bracelet weaves into buckles? I have one of your fusion books, but it has no instructions for buckle attachments. I think a cow hitch might work, but I don’t want to make a mistake.

Love what you do, man. Been a fan for years. I have tried to alter your designs for buckles--sometime successfully...sometimes not so much. How would you incorporate a buckle into a sinnet-style bracelet. Those are the ones I have issue with.

Did you so this because Mr. Coop always modifies your designs for buckles? Either way, it's great what you're doing and the Paracord Community loves your work.

How do you add this to your triple wide zipper sinnet? I have a nice belt that I'd like to add a buckle to.
@BanjoDoje
@BanjoDoje 10 лет назад
Is there a way to do this or something similar when you want to attach a one color cord so that it looks uniform like this on both buckles? Can't wait to try it on my next 2 color bracelet. Will save some splicing :) Thanks. Have all of your books so far. Really liked book 2 for the bush sandals. Those will be my 1st more "difficult" project ;) Thanks. Your videos rock although if I'm to be perfectly honest, some of the music is a bit tough on my ears. Not because it's bad or unpleasant but because of the tones. Hearing damage and some notes grate but since your vids are all show and no talking (which took me a little to get used to as a newb - knotting since Feb 7, 2014 - yeah I enjoyed my first attempt, which happened to be a belt lol which is why I remember it so well) I can just turn the sound down. But the music like in this video is soothing and calming so I don't have to turn it off.

This method doesn't seem very strong, I'm looking for a way to attach one that could bear a bit of weight on it without the strings pulling a part. It isn't for a bracelet but is similar in design. Any suggestions?

I was looking at one of your books on amazon and it mentioned a butane torch lighter for melting the end of the paracord. could I use a normal lighter, a match or a candle instead?
@MrBlack751
@MrBlack751 10 лет назад
The torch is just much easier to work with. Of course you can use a lighter or any manageable flame but, the slow laminar flow of the flame take longer to get the desired result, which melting the ends of the paracord. The torch is hotter and thus, making the melt time faster. I had the same question and through trial and error found this out. (my opinion)

A question to you and your subscribers. Does anyone have a good sources of 450 Paracord in the UK? I can get 550 everywhere but no 450. I'd rather not internationally ship if possible, I don't want loads and the shipping will double the cost. Thanks
