Back in '99 knew a Singaporean, he'd already served in NS. He said if Singapore would go to war with any nation, Singapore would probably loose but still manage to "take the guy's arm off".
Yup that is the defensive posture of Singapore using a poisonous shrimp as an example. We are not meant to win a war (of course we will like to if possible) but if not, the enemy will have a pyrrhic victory instead.
@@TaskforceJavelin Think interception by the navy/air force of any invasion will thus become even more important, to prevent them from setting foot on land, though I understand that a highly urbanised environment like Singapore can also complicate an invasion (by creating more areas to hide, and creating a more multi-coloured environment that's more difficult to develop camouflage for)
@@AERSKALFA_ haha our friend forgotten that he is suppose to be firing back so he forgotten to press the trigger. It was awkward for him to be aiming and doing nothing hence the muzzle flashes added :P
Awesome film. Great to see that you focus on being realistic. One critique is that the radio transmission is too calm. It did not capture the utter chaos in a battlefield. Hope to see more from you guys.
Nice to see some SPF representation for once in these types of action clips. When I saw that guy in the old SPF no. 3 uniform thou, I kinda knew he will be short-lived lol. Next time try to do an all-SPF crime or terrorism scene can? Or combined both together like a typical HK action movie bah hah!
@@clementgome7668 rare if involving Singapore elements. The ones who do see are usually scripted rubbish with minimal violence and where the good always wins.
@Taskforce Javelin Why do soldiers like to wear the goggles on their helmet? Wouldn’t the elasticity of the goggle straps be degraded. Also how to they quickly draw their mags if the grenade pouch is in the way on the top. I understand that infantry has to carry tons of things btw. Apart from these questions great video 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi. Where was this film made? Its not bad, the fire fight scenes were pretty good and close to being as close to legitimate as you can get without actually being real. Nice job. Take care. Hawk out!!
A few things don't make sense but take it as a feedback Don't misunderstood my point as I do enjoy the content and hope for more in the future (RU-vid algorithm just suggested to me in 2021) 1) Isn't Police main goal in war time is civilians peace keeping and safety of people? I don't think they will be one participating in war because they are govern by different law and teaching. The police is all about deescalate the threat while the army is about neutralizing the threat so both works differently. I maybe wrong on this point but there is a reason why there's Civil Law and Martial Law exist. 2) Why is Civilian running in the frontline of fire? This makes zero sense in context but to hype up the entertainment value. Why aren't they crawling at worse but running where there is cross firing, that is just asking for death sentence. The civilian lady popped out from 10 SIR side, to check on the injured solider makes no sense as well and also weapon picking up attempting to fight??? When there is fire fight, evacuation is always never done until area is secure and this include not moving unarmed personal (Civilian and injured solider) The risk of more people injured is just way higher and as well as unnecessary death. 3) Please take cover properly, open window are open target and free picking on people for the enemy. Always have someone looking out at all entry point (Starting) No one gather in all window surrounding (Ending - again open target) Other then that, job well done. Hope to see more in action.
No worries, questions are always welcomed. 1) Isn't Police main goal in war time is civilians peace keeping and safety of people? I don't think they will be one participating in war because they are govern by different law and teaching. The police is all about deescalate the threat while the army is about neutralizing the threat so both works differently. I maybe wrong on this point but there is a reason why there's Civil Law and Martial Law exist. - For this film, it is hinted that the army was not activated due to the disarray in chain of command. The police are forced in the situation where they have to engage any threats that will affect the safety of the civilians. -Well thats true, nothing much can be explained but simply just running when the soldiers/police are covering fire to safety. The civilian lady intend was to help fight back thats all. For the evacuation, sometimes shit happens, things dont go your way. In an actual situation, a lot of things can go wrong and does not go by the book. 3) Please take cover properly, open window are open target and free picking on people for the enemy. Always have someone looking out at all entry point (Starting) No one gather in all window surrounding (Ending - again open target) -Its more of the filming location issue. There aren't really any options for a good cover for shooting a scene and we had to make do.
Not exactly, tbh. The SPF STAR Unit is similar to France's GIGN, a paramilitary unit that specializes in counter-terrorism, special operation, and hostage rescue. We're exactly the same replica, for our SWAT team..... That would be SOC PTU... So, in short, STAR would probably be deployed to assist the military since they're capable of special operations.
Is there a way to command a defence activity? Like a fight will happen - the control of incoming people if it's been cyclist as vehicle-engine been support to invade country anyway and create a torture of loss of nice life experiences and "the cannot"-ruling been by them.
Hi guys. This is a good movie but i found out one flaw. The shooting inside the building where the soldiers kept on firing towards the window grill is not realistic. 99% the round will ricochet and wont pass that tiny grill after that window. My comments based on my real training in the SAF as a regular. But so far keep the good job.
Eventually we will be at war but it depends on the context: When/Where/Why/Who and How? We do wish for eternal peace but eventually it will happen again. Do you ever get down from a sickness? Is it possible to not catch a sickness in your lifetime? You would wish you would be perfectly healthy and rid of sickness from the day you are born till the day you die isnt it?
The MATADOR has the capability to fire both HEAT (antitank) and HESH (high explosive, mainly for door-breaching but able to take out close groups of infantry with its blast radius). So yeah that wasn't exactly an anti tank round.
@@junxianwu1874 so we use whatever you just pointed out against infantry ,and not worry about the black blast which would have filled the room with dust and smoke more the less blinding/concussing/stunning them .
@@zendonteh9521 The MATADOR is kinda a weapon suited for firing in urban environments due to the fact that it generates minimal backblast. The shredded plastic countermass decelerates rapidly due to air resistance, making it safe to fire in enclosed environments.
Hmmm.... in the opening scene, I noticed civilians milling about among the buildings as the tanks and IFVs rolled by. I would expect them to be moving to the underground shelters, or evacuating the area.
They probably do not know what’s going on at the start as the enemy has not arrived yet( slowly advancing). But that scene is used from a parade so yah
Ikr. Why couldn’t change to terrorists sia? I found terrorists more better than fighting their good ally USA. Its like a bacteria annihilating a whole army of highly trained operators from a whale sized country
I just wanna say the the Singaporean soldiers are wearing their real gear. And while the opposition may look more #operator status they look more suited for urban ops. Singapore’s strategy focuses on jungle warfare. So the opposition looks more like an operator Singapore’s soldiers look more like jungle warfare soldiers, something many armies, especially the us army has put lower on their priority list, while Singapore has it No.1 on our priority list.
Both nations look professional. Both are 11b infantry man who are part of a rifle squad. You can’t judge the professionalism based on how they look but instead, by their Area of operations(AO) in this case the opposition is wearing Multicam/ Scorpion W2 camo while Singapore is wearing their iconic jungle camo( looks similar to marine Marpat with differences of course) Both are wearing the kit according to their AO. For example: Since Singapore’s military is focused on fighting in Singapore which has mostly jungle and urban environment, they would go with jungle camo( what’s the name of this camo, could someone fill me in). While the Supposedly OpFor (opposition forces) uses Scoprion W2/ Multicam(similar camo but has their history, you can go check it out). Multicam is adopted not only by the United States Army and Air Force (Marine uses Marpat, Navy uses NWU camo) but by other countries too, so saying it the US is not accurate. Multicam/Scorpion W2 Does fantastic in an array of terrains such as desert, temperate and woodland. Multicam is part of a family which includes Multicam arid, Multicam tropic and Multicam alphine. Now, moving on from camo to their, Singapore soldiers have a stricter policy on what a soldier can add to their kit while the US military are less strict( but must be approved by their CO first) in what a soldier can put on his gear.
The enemy looked if they were a country like Australia or a heavily supported militia by the us or something and the enemies aren’t that realistic as they look if they were from NATO but overall great movie
Hey TFJ! This is such an awesome film! Im a filmmaker myself and would love to collaborate someday! Let me know how we can touch base! Take care and stay safe!
Not exactly, just different camo, different kit for their different AO. Biggest difference is camo Multicam/Scorpion W2 vs Sg jungle camo that looks similar to Marine Marpat while Singapore uses the ILBV and is soon to be replaced if I am not wrong while the OpFor has plate carriers( crye JPC, SPC or AVS maybe?)
@@TaskforceJavelin With limit equipment, manpower, knowledge you can’t compare with the professionals but a really good step forward! At least you did something! Good job!
@@BeachBoi1000 haha ok lar we are just doing it during our free time but thank you for the compliment. Wish we can do it even better we see how in the future!
I don’t think any nations would want to invade Singapore as it would cost them billions of dollars to transport troops, weapons, ammunition. Currently only the US has that ability to perform such a massive task. But the main question is: Is it worth it?
It is safer to lepoard craw over the corridoor to the other end! Not run over and expose your self to bullet! Nevetheless good try in acting.Look forward to a better more realistic next video shoot. Keep it up!
Thank you! Well there are many ways to egress out of a killzone but the floor at the filming is filled with bat shit, so i do not recommend the guys to crawl thou.

very well made movie but many scenes were unrealistic singapore soldiers being way too calm since they never see active combat before. (how is the boy still smiling?? sure he could be innocent and ignorant but not when gunshots are over 140 decibels) not sure why singapore infantry is using us rifles like mk18 instead or sar21 but i guess they probably replaced their sar21 for those from fallen soldiers. us sof gears are very accurate but the singapore accent and tactics they used gave it away. some wrong description of the firefight was: the us saw gunner would have laid down so much suppressive fire that they would ensure nobody would return fire. the scene where guy fired the javelin style anti tank weapon was also wrong. first, anti tank weapons arent good against soft targets so they wouldnt use it, if for some reasons they still decided too, they would have done at the start of the firefight. second, javelin missiles need to travel a certain distance to detonate, at that close proximity, it wouldnt go off. the javelin missile also took too long to impact and the explosion was kinda fake. the us guy who got shot would most likely still be fighting since he was hit in a non vital part and the corpsman who have probably given first aid or at the very least, that guy would be swearing back at the enemies because you know, its america and they're special forces a bullet striking your leg is not any much better than anywhere else. if not given proper first aid immediately, the victim has a high chance of dying of blood loss how the heck did that guy fire his rifle without pulling the trigger??? wounding and the sound effect when the bullets impacted metal targets is the worse part of this movie. its like straight out from a 90s movie also, the us would most likely only require airstrikes too defeat singapore. if for some reasons they decided to send in ground troops, they have almost 0% chance of losing as they would have called in a bunch of airstrikes if you see how they fought in afganistan and ww2 don't forget the us also a military base in singapore so if us decided to invade singapore, it wouldnt be a war at all.
The probable reason why some are not using the SAR 21 is because there isn't enough SAR 21 dummy guns to go around lol, have to substitute with other non standard issue weapons.
thank you for your feedback. There are many pointers which i think that are true but there are some that are not exactly correct especially regarding US having a military base in Singapore/US would only require airstrikes only. (the enemies in the film are not US btw) Do watch more on the histories of the wars that US entered. No matter how many airstrikes you can conduct, you will always need ground troops to clear the area. You cannot wipe the whole land off the map either to kill the inhabitants, you will lose the value of the land. Also US does not have a base in Singapore.
@@YCbrawlstars hmm ... well partially we do not have much options due to we only have multicam loadouts. We didnt wish to represent some insurgent looking forces either as an opposing army will be more suitable hence we used these. No doubt they are based on US or NATO led force loadout (Multicam/AVS etc). Anyway no worries, I hope that we can do an even more realistic film in our subsequent attempts if possible. Thanks!
@@TaskforceJavelin For more realistic setups, you can first start with the gear, have the people practice in the gear and find the most viable setup. Gear on the back panel are for teammates and teammates only. I hope this helps for the gear. This is just my opinion only btw
