@@paranoiarpincess Because it was over a decade ago and every SD card I had was corrupted. We didn't have common use cloud storage and at the time I didn't realize SD cards had an expiration date. None of it was backed up anywhere. I probably have videos on an old external HDD but I wouldn't even begin to know where to find it.
@@itsuranus9479 thanks for taking the time to reply. Sorry I'm such a skeptic, I still don't 100% believe the story, but it's one of those things where I wouldn't unless I saw it all myself. To be honest, even if there were photos, the way my brain works, I'd probably convince myself they're not real anyway. Please don't take offense to this though. You told your story, it was great, and very very well written, and at the end of the day that's what matters most to me :). I hope you do find some footage some day though as I feel like people would pay quite a lot for that stuff! Hope you have a great day.
@@paranoiarpincess Don't feel bad. I don't believe it either. It's a distant memory now and the only thing that keeps it alive are the people around me who won't allow me to forget it. Even the original reddit post was at the beckoning of a friend who was there to see it. It took me 3 days to type it. I don't really mind if anyone doesn't believe it. Its Uranus it just made me so deeply unsettled 😩 I’ve come across dolls and stuffed animals like that before and it is always so creepy. One time I left one in a parking lot after getting it given to me and I didn’t even want it in the car. I’m a pagan but I prayed in my own way over that doll before I left it in hopes it would just disappear and never surface again lol But that lamb just made me, and adult, go into flight mode 🤣😂

I haven't heard that part of the story yet I know exactly what you are describing. I've experienced it multiple times. The sensation of a person leaning over me and screaming at the top of it's lungs yet no sound is coming out. It's a very distinct and creepy feeling
In the early hours of the morning, around 2 am, I was out for a walk with my dog in a quiet residential area. Out of nowhere, my dog started barking and growling, seemingly at nothing. Despite the empty streets, my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to follow her lead. I tugged on her leash, urging her towards the direction she was fixated on, but she resisted and planted her feet firmly on the ground. Determined, I continued to pull her along until we reached the exact spot she was fixated on. Suddenly, she let out a sharp yelp, leaping back and howling as if she had been electrocuted or struck. However, to my bewilderment, there was absolutely nothing and no one in sight. In that very moment, I was overcome with an eerie sensation, as if someone was watching me intently, causing goosebumps to ripple across my skin. It was completely out of character for my usually calm and composed toy poodle to behave this way, leaving me baffled as to the meaning behind it all or what she might have seen
So they knew to ignore it but didn't think to contact someone when it tore the wall apart?! -face palm- If he knew rule one he also should of known you don't need to believe in god for blessings to work. It can even make it worse.
That porcelain lamb story is the best example of complacency I've ever read. Living with an intolerable situation, just ignoring it, day after day. Your relationship falls apart, ignore it. Haunted lamb, ignore it. Something chewing through the wall, ignore it.
I'd say it's more like a metaphor for how life falls apart but no one is willing to do anything about it. How far will a person go to NOT react to the world around them.

On that subreddit they pretend every fictional horror story is real, I believe it’s to not “break the immersion.” It can get extremely disrespectful, though, as one story was that zombie nazis killed the people on the Titanic, and not an iceberg, which is… fucking odd to begin with and disrespectful to the victims.

I had to laugh at the story where the narrator heard the grudge sound and instead of running for their life they played wow. Or at the start of the story they claim to live for the weird, dark and macabre things in life, yet they had only seen one horror movie.
I never said I'd only seen one horror movie. I said I didn't like them. I've seen a lot of horror movies, but typically I find the stories really bad, and they aren't scary so they don't do anything for me. I said the Grudge was the only film that had SCARED me, not the only one I'd ever seen.
The one about the spirit shimmering in glitter, I believe that. I believe in the paranormal, and that some of us are more in tune to it than others. My mother had a level of it, I do, and so does my daughter, who is now 18. She still does, but differently than when she was little. She used to see, as she'd say, people who were hurt, but they were different shiny swirly colors. Some pink, some blue, some orange, some green etc... I'll never forget one day when she was about 7 and we were at a red light. She freaked out and begged me to run it because the "shiny purple man who's head was hurt" was scaring her. Apparently she saw him standing on the corner, I saw no one at all. She wasn't faking her reaction!
These are demons who deceive people into pitying the poor ghosts, or into thinking that they (the demons) are ghosts of loved ones who have died. God tells us so in the New Testament.

He says true and real as loose as possible. They just mean they are really scary or truly terrifying. Not true or real stories. Mostly why I barley listen now.

Imagine the Skinwalker meeting up with other Skinwalkers later on and them asking them “Brethren! How was your dinner? Delicious we hope!” And then for that Skinwalker to just cross their arms and tap their clawed footy for a second as they fight to confess what happened only to blurt out embarrassingly “They laughed at me and ran.”

Why do I feel like the dude that was talking about the grudge noise and being on video games and stuff, his girlfriend actually did want to be with him and be around him. But he was so addicted to video games and avoiding her that she just kind of blew it off and tried to act like it was normal

For evil spirits, give them compassion and love rather than fear or anger or any negative emotion. Evil spirits do what they do because they feed off the fear and other negative emotions that they cause people to feel. Emotions at the other end of the spectrum hurt them.
I don’t usually give negative comments but story #3 was so disjointed and confusing that I gave up on it. This story might have been better with some rewriting and more facts.
I'd say these stories are always better when they contain more facts. As it's been going, there has been a sharp downward trend in these "true" stories when it comes to facts. Here's one fact: that "true" designation is getting a little bit ridiculous. I used to love listening to these channels back before the influx of BS and copycat writers appeared. Now the genre has been completely flooded with fourth rate fiction.
First of all, I love the channel and my beef isn't with Lets Read! But I'm a little put off that a lot of the writers of these stories aren't even trying to make them seem true. Instead of being creative and coming up with unique, interesting or at least believable ideas, the writers of some of these stories straight up copy and even reference specific horror movies. "All the cabinets were open" "that Grudge sound"... Just because some horror movie writer had a great idea to scare an audience in a new way doesn't mean that "ghosts" or unexplained phenomena are going to see that movie and copy that idea. Come on now. I guess there's only so many real stories out there and now that this genre is so popular there are a lot of wannabe writers trying to sneak in their "original" stories. And can we get off of the whole Skinwalker thing? I mean, it was cool as a thing to learn about from a Native American mythology perspective but the whole idea of the unknown is that it is unknown. Myths and legends are great for fiction, but once a story teller starts acting like they can classify and categorize the unexplained, they lose all credibility. For example, ghost hunting "tech" and stuff can be fun for make-believe and party games but you can't scientifically verify a device's ability to measure something if we don't know what that something is or even if it really exists. Please, I want TRUE scary stories that can stimulate my mind and make me wonder about things! Fiction is great but it needs to stay in the fiction section. Edit: Let me extend that rant to Ouija boards (a.k.a. Luigi boards heh heh). You guys know that the original Ouija board game came with an explanation of the ideomotor effect in the instructions, right? The very first version of the board game explained exactly what caused the game to work. It wasn't until later that unscrupulous toy manufacturers decided to remove that description to help fan the flames of people's superstitions. I mean come on everyone! This is the 21st century! This information is all available by a simple Google search (which can be done on the same device you are using right now). Let's look at things that are truly unknown and leave things like Ouija boards and Skinwalkers to the movie makers and fiction writers.
@@DanMummSolo I'd agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that I'm part of the audience of these videos. I've been listening to the true scary stories on RU-vid since it was a brand new genre and these channels only had a handful of subs. Back then, most of the stories really had authenticity to them. Once in awhile you'd come across one or two that was obviously phony or exaggerated, but for the most part they rang true. It was a great way to distract myself when I needed to and also fuel my interest in the unknown. Now, when I'm listening to these videos, I get taken out of it constantly and end up skipping most of the stories.
Being single during covid is the worst... or maybe not considering the assholes I’ve dated, and as much as I love these, I REALLY love being scared the pants off of! Can someone start a channel of the kinda creepy horror stories that make you have to turn on all the lights and check yourself closets with a bat like Stephen king stories do? For once a scary stories video has genuinely freaked me out, and ive listened to hundreds and hundreds, i used to fall asleep every single night to scary stories for about a year, and this one actually truly scared me. Great vid.
Mkay but my husband has bad sleep apnea. Before he got his cpap, he used to get up and walk everywhere. He would move furniture. He put me in a headlock while asleep one night. We used to argue, I’d turn the lights on and everything to make sure he was awake, but even though his eyes were open and we were talking he wasn’t awake. It’s MUCH better now that he has his cpap, but not all better. He still talks in his sleep sometimes, and will roll over and point at me and stuff. Like, I won’t leave for a night or anything because we have young kids, and I know how to handle him when he’s sleep walking/talking, they don’t. Sounds like story #6 (I think) her hubby has the same kind of sleep apnea mine does. Better get that checked out.
dybuk boxes, as far as I'm aware, give you an urge to open it, which is what's contained in it attempting to make you release it from its confines. it's usually something evil, which is why opening it is such a terrible idea, because usually your "reward" for releasing it is torment.
