We can't believe this album is already 11 years old! You can pick up vinyl of "Wires... And the Concept of Breathing" and "Rise" here - www.merchbucket.com/collections/a-skylit-drive
In 2008 my friend at Starbucks introduced me to this band with this song. In 2010 I was listening to this song while cleaning my barracks room in Missouri when a fellow Marine entered my room and said "you know this bands, that's my brother's band".
Found this song back in highschool, and it set the stage for most of the music I like today. Now I'm about to graduate medical school...THE DOCTOR IS ABOUT TO ARRIVE
The years you were actually cool. Had a new girl every month, just loving life. Now you're old and wondering WTF happened. Hey at least we can afford that Porsche this summer!
Everyone here be commenting lines from the lyrics and not realizing ”What a passive thought, when the truth is that i’m taking your life” is actually one of the best lines in any song ever.
Good artists, bad artists, the bands of my youth.14 years later and I still stand behind Corey La Quay being one of the craziest Drummers in this scene!
everyone keeps saying this brings back memories of high school and being emo, but I'm just discovering this now ...shit. does that make this my emo phase
I'll never forget the day that my mail man was the drummer for this band best shit in my life cus this band means alot to me growing up till this day ^^ hope your doing good bro 🙏 💙 ❤
Found you guys in prison on my tablet and you guys really helped me get threw my bid, working out and listening to your music all the time, ty so much.
Omg saw this band at a local show in Modesto, CA when I was 14/15, bought their album and became obsessed. I am now 27, it’s Been some years since I’ve listen to them but just as amazing as I remember. Great melodic vocals, the best double bass drum and the hottest drummer 😍😍 how I missed you
This song saved my life. I would have died if it weren't for these guys. Long live ASD and long live the kids that need to hear music like this. That's not a celebration; it's a plea.
Once again Jag doesn't sing at this incredible high octave anymore and I think it's an absolute shame. I can also say that it is hard to continue to keep your voice up there like that without stressing it...even still, I'd say that when they did this video, the half of this band were in their early 20s so between then and today's sound they could have experienced voice changes...who knows. I'll still love this band anyways. They helped me through my terrible teenage years.
It is not hard to sing like this for long periods of times.... Just have to not smoke, drink and do drugs.... Practice your singing techniques and drink water. Look at the singers from the 80's rock bands
"This brings back memories when I was in high school..." But...I discovered this band this year... ;-; Maybe in 8 years I will come back and say that too... ;-;
Well, coming from someone who in fact was in highschool when they first came out, coming back to this video after more than 8 years...i must say...the nostalgia makes me sad
The skin around your mouth The touch of your lips don't mean as much to me as this I've never felt so alive until I figured you out Until I figured you out! Your words are infectious Your eyes leave me breathless I think it's safe to say you're deadly in your own way I've never felt so alive until I figured you out Until I figured you out! I've got the moves to make you move The thorn in my side just may be you I know you know what's going on I know you know what's going on, girl This is me without you Breathe easy The doctors are about to arrive Just try to run You can't escape me This is the last for me This is the last for me! What's it like in the greater sky? I've got the moves to make you move The thorn in my side just may be you I know you know what's…
I loved this band all throughout high school. Got to see them at 2009 warped tour in Pittsburgh and afterwards stopped at a Denny's to eat and there they were. Great dudes and a great memory.
Christopher Wyne Haha god damn man, are we twins? i listened to these guys daily during high school and saw them live 3 times, including once at 2009 warped tour in Oceanport, New Jersey. I too went to Denny's and there they were. That is too funny man. It's weird listening to them again, it's been 6.5 years since I graduated. Bringing back some memories of better times...
I remember A Skylit Drive. Use to think the lead singer was a girl until I seen the "Knights of The Round" music video 😅😅 dammn. What happened to these guys? Think I'll buy a couple of their albums to jam too tomorrow
Corey is a monster... what the hell happened to music man.. this is the shit i put on full blast in my room.... feel bad for all the kids listening to all those mumble rappers. This music takes some deep listening but sounds amazing the first listen. And only gets better and better. Thats music.
Used to play monster hunter world to this album until 6am then bring my Xbox over to my friends house to do co op raids and flex the last 12hrs of grinding I did. Even after I lost everything the memories still remain good or bad
I got inspiration from this video/song. I'm now writing a book about how a character is in a gang and has to rob a hotel. Although not getting caught; he has to face the harsh aftermath of forcing himself away from that gang. ;)))
This is insane, I forgot all about this band, I haven't listened since middle school and I already graduated from Highschool. I miss those old, emo days; when things were simpler.
holding jag and brian's hands yesterday during their set at warped chicago was by far the fucking highlight of my year. p.s. brian - thanks for the monster dude!

Love how most songs with lyrical value are completely blasted by people pointing out the obvious or just being douche bags. Yes, he has a high voice. point proven, nothing more needed to be said.
When I said I miss high school I meant the fact that these songs carried me through those times. Its the nostalgia of hearing amazing music that I miss.
