Love your videos, Mike ! It's always a pleasure to watch. Those snow shoes are nice and healthy. The sling is super nice, and your shooting is excellent 👌
Off to the woods to get a fork to make a slingshot. Got enough ot this old one. Need little widers space between the forks. Nice video man, as usual. Never dissapointed.
It was like 40°f on this day so I was not using a cold weather set up. Just sniper sling green .7. a couple weeks ago when it was -20f I was using GZK green .76.
Good shots here. I am now, thanks to getting inspired by your videos, looking to get a slingshot for myself and hunt rabbit (was already getting one for a friend, he's wanting one for self-protection, so that's the reason I found these videos in the first place). Thing is I most likely won't be able to get this close (am ways off trying too because would want to hunt humanely so would need practice first; also looking to hunt in open fields which seems to not be ideal with dens close). What's realistically the furthest out shot you can take comfortably (your average sounds doable with some practice but what would be the max)?
It really depends on your ammo. I have taken rabbits at 40 yards. That's a very long shot with a flip. But on another note, I would not discount being able to get close even in fields. Practice, learn. Try without hunting. Get as close as you can with a camera. Do it over and over again and by the time you get decent with a flip you will be able to get right on top of em.
Another great hunting video. Can never get enuff, always waiting for the next one. That’s a great looking n a great shooting frame. Waiting for the vid. Aloha from da 808( Molokai)👊🏽🫵🏽☝🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽
@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans I know the name but not sure if I did meet them. But yea born and raised there 67 yrs there and never wanted to leave. Still there 3 kids and 6 grandchildren later.
Excellent shooting as usual bro. I'm still working on my accuracy. Sometimes I'm pretty good, other times it just won't fly straight. One thing for sure is it's pretty fun seeing that spinner take hit after hit. I'm currently using plastic balls I bought from simpleshot. I plan on buying some glass marbles to shoot at leaves, dried branches and wild fruits. Lol... I have steel balls and lead but I only shoot those when I'm in an appropriate place with my catch box to get them back as they sorta expensive where I'm from.
@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans Cunning they are, it was fun to watch it unfold when they suspect something might be up but don't know your there. Wasn't going to turn down a free meal like finding money on the ground with noone else to claim it suspicious but lucky.
1. Your feelings don't matter. 2. Snowshoe hares make up a significant portion of the protein my family consumes. Thus, the reason for my hunting is obvious. Subscribe for more.
Alaska Red squirrels are the foremost predators of hare kits . Adults not so much but they will drag and stash a found carcass like that, if say a hawk dropped it.
@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans Thanks for the reply. I have heard of high predation by red squirrels on kits, but not adults. I'm from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on the center of the Southern shore of Lake Superior. I thought that maybe the Alaskan red squirrels might be a little meaner than the ones here.
Been out twice this week haven’t even seen one rabbit …. I don’t get it , starting to think the coyotes are getting them last year was rough rabbit hunting as well .
It's possible you are just on a down cycle. There are hares everywhere around here right now. In two years I won't be able to find any, I can almost guarantee it. It's just how the cycle works. I load up while I can.
I love your method of still hunting along the trails. You can move silently in the snow! You obviously have sharp eyesight to see those hares camouflaged like they are. Good job!
It's terrible. And ya never know how it's going to be until you're there. Sometimes I carry snowshoes the whole time. Most times I don't. The trade off is post holeing.
How can a small rock kill a rabbit? This is unbelievable. In addition, how do rabbits not escape even though they are wild? In my opinion, I say that this video is fabricated.
Not real quick are ya? It's a steel ball moving at 220 fps. Plenty of power to kill a bunny. , and I'm sneaky. There is plenty of evidence of my success on my channel. Do a little digging before you call me a liar. How do you suppose one would fabricate such a video? What would the motivation be? Certainly not the $24.32 I have made off of ad revenue. 🤡
Hello Brother! Love watching your videos. But in every video you show how to make a slingshot, thats a little bit boring now though. By doing this you are reducing your viewers. Thanks 👍
