I picked up a cyberpowerpc from Costco because the display model instantly caught eye and it was this case which looked beautiful. Plus it was a i5 14400F, 4060 GPU, 32 GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe for $899.
Such an awesome and beautiful case. Still debating between the white NV5 or white Y40 for my girlfriend’s build. I already have Uni Fan 120 V2s but they absolutely killed it with D30s!
Bought one, easy build even with 3 SSD's on the rear door. That said, the rear cable management, which for me is never really good, becomes a nightmare with that many drives. Pff, don't really care, because you can't see it. I wasn't a huge fan of the GPU stand, I mean, it works, but I went with a different one instead. One HUGE positive i have is for Phanteks' customer service. The PS basement RGB strip was broken out of the box. They shipped me a replacement within 3 days, free of charge.
I love my NV5, my temps are about spot on with your results which is perfectly fine. Running a 7800X3D with a Glacier One 360D30, 4070ti, and filled the case with D30 fans. It looks stunning and performs well.
I ordered NV5 and eagerly waiting to come into my arms. BTW, reset button is the little one, next to power button. In 3:27 those two buttons are for DRGB.
Will the LS720 from deepcool fit in this case? pc part picker has no issues, however based on this video it says up to 360mm but the LS720 is 402mm. confused haha
Considering this case for a i9 14900 and MSI 4090 Suprim liquid X build. CPU radiator on the side pulling cold air in and the GPU radiator on top exhausting out.
Just built a rig with one of these, indeed brilliant case and superb build. I decked mine out with the new Corsair iCue Link Triple Fan AIO with 5x of the iCue Link fans. Crosshair Hero 670e / 7800X3D / Sapphire Nitro 7900XTX with..... System Drive = 990 Pro 2TB - Game Drive = Corsair MP 700 2TB Corsair Dominator Titanium 32GB Expo (Cas30)
Hi, I’m planning to build my first pc soon and am strongly considering this case. But because I’m pretty new to all of this, I’m not quite sure what the best fan configuration would be. Specifically in regards to this case I haven’t found a clear answer as to which of the fans should be intake and which exhaust. So I wanted to ask what fan configuration you would recommend either with or without the bottom fan and with a 360 aio at the top? :)
I have the case, I opted for the Silent assassin, bottom and side intake - rear and top exhaust, since you planning on having an AIO, you can't do anything wrong by mounting it top
@@gan7940 Would say easily. I think this case looks better with a AIO on top, but you can't go wrong with an air cooler either. It also comes down to just installing and monitoring your temps, and adjusting accordingly.
Would have been nice to see one of these cases with the additional angled GPU adapter. Wondered if it might just look too cramped in the NV5 even though it looks awesome in the NV7
I won't even look at this product since it's part of their RGB/D-RGB line-up, which sports fans with proprietary ARGB connectors that you cannot use without their proprietary fan hub. I won't even be reviewing future proprietary products from NZXT. Why? Because when I asked for the pinouts so I could rewire it for my mobo's ARGB header, they said that wasn't even possible because it would damage the LEDs (i.e. they made the fans incompatible with standard ARGB connections). The same goes for Corsair, Asiahorse, Lian Li and Phanteks. Join me in the boycott to stop companies from trapping us and taking away choices like Apple did!
