Now I'm going to guess, that where you live some parts and supplies are limited and you developed this work around to make what you can get work. So the video is not about what you needed now, but just an example of how you managed at the time you did need these techniques. Here is why I'm guessing that. First, you aren't speaking so this video can be understood by most people anywhere in the world and English might not be the language spoken in your country. Second, some countries just don't carry the variety of products in the local hardware stores. Third, just because you used red paint for the demo, that doesn't mean the color you made the spray can for originally was such an easy color to find in spray paint. I just think assuming you are from a western country or that your target audience is the USA is a mistake. Or maybe you are in the US and these supplies are what you had on hand and with no extra money at the time to go buy more supplies, you made what you had work when you needed it to.
