To be honest, I watched it from start to end. Although I didn’t understand anything. ;)

For those interested in an English translation, here you go! Some things I couldn't understand too well, so I filled in with what I believe the interviewer may have said (he was the one who's accent was the heaviest). Interviewer: Shadowhunters is a literature success around the world. It had a movie version, and now it has a tv show version. It’s on Netflix, and they are Alberto and Emeraude; did I say it right? Emeraude: Yes, you said it very well. Interviewer: Oh good, I said it right. Okay guys, welcome to Argentina, it’s a pleasure to see you because I see you on Netflix and it’s so good, and now I get to see you in person. Tell me a little bit about how you got into the tv show. Emeraude: Well, it’s a casting process, a lot of casting. For me, for example, I walked into a room and saw girls that were in movies and in other tv shows and I was like “Oh no, they’re not going to give me this role.” But I prepared myself very well and you know, it’s very nice because this role was not written for a Latina, so it feels really nice to be able to represent other Latina’s in a powerful and intelligent role. And yeah, I’m very blessed and very happy to have this opportunity. Interviewer: Did you feel pressure in concerns to your characters iterations? Because there’s a lot of fans that are behind the saga/series and it looks to me like you had to be very strict. Alberto: Yeah. We know we had a responsibility to do well, but we also knew that we couldn’t please every single person. Emeraude: Every person has different opinions. Alberto: Yeah. What we did was find the heart of every character, the essence. That’s the only thing we could do. Emeraude: Not only that, this one read all the books in a day. Alberto: Yeah, I read the books. For me it was something very important, because I knew that we had six books, it’s a series, this story, and I had to read everything because I wanted to know everything about my character, who goes through so many changes, so many things happen to him. Interviewer: Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that, because your character turns into a vampire. Emeraude: SPOILER ALERT! Alberto: Spoilers! Interviewer: Oh, come on! People are seeing it! Emeraude: If you haven’t seen it, stop this interview and them come back. Interview: But wait, look, the spoiler is HOW he transforms, how it happens. Emeraude: Exactly. Interviewer: But tell me how you worked that transformation as an actor. Alberto: Well, as an actor, first I had to read- Emeraude: He went to the gym and exercised a lot, picked up weights. Alberto: Yeah, but I also went to the books. Because the writer, Cassie, she gave me everything there, and the things she didn’t give me, I had to invent, like the physical things, that are different. Like when he turns into a vampire, he has supernatural powers. He can see like Superman, so for those changes, he needs to learn how to move his body- Emeraude: He has no heartbeat. Emeraude: It’s really nice to be able to see a strong woman who is sexy, but who is also intelligent, like Isabelle Lightwood. But more than anything, she does what she does for her brother. She loves her brother, and their parents have come and put limits on them. So she stops doing what she loves to do, she stops being herself, to help her brother. And I feel that speaks very well for her, that she’s a person who thinks about others before she thinks of herself. That’s something very beautiful about her. Interviewer: And the last question, for both of you. I’m going to take Simon’s character. Alberto: Okay. Interviewer: Simon is in love with Clary. Alberto: Yeah. Interviewer: Clary sees him as a friend. I want to know if this ever happened to you guys, where you realized that the person you liked only saw you as a friend. What did you do in that situation? Emeraude: Well, it’s sad. One of the saddest things is to love someone who doesn’t love you back. Alberto: It’s very difficult because you don’t want to say anything because you don’t want to change the relationship you have with that person. But sometimes you have to jump and do it, and say, “I want to be more than friends.” But if it doesn’t happen, it’s not the end of the world. Emeraude: Yeah, it’s not the end of the world! Alberto: Yeah, you can still keep going. And later, you may meet someone else who is better for you. Emeraude: Yeah, I have a lot of platonic loves. En realidad no sabía que Alberto hablaba español. Si ya estaba enamorada de él ahora mismo le quiero aún más.

Sabía que Alberto hablaba español además tanto nombre y apellido son latinos, pero cuando me entere que Emeraude es de ascendencia mexicana casi lloro de la emoción 😂 😂
