I am curious what shoes are going to be ranked "try" "why" this year... IDNU especially Torrents with 0 technology progress only with new colourway... Prize says it all 130 $ for racer, is the foam even dual density? The weght is the feature why go into Torrents in my opinoin. Again why marked as "buy". Does anybody actually race 21k in this? 😅
Looking forward for the Zinal 2. Loved the first Version. Put over 1200km in them before all lugs were gone and the vibram sole was so thin that it falls apart. They've been on some tough trails. From the Dolomites to Patagonia. Sad that the Torrent is to narrow from me.
You know imo almost all the shoes nowadays are good ,and some a little better, but this is ridiculous comparing all these shoes it's so close with 20 I can name right now ,and hoka has 3 or 4 by their own,but hey I appreciate the finer details you put in the reviews,so evryone knows
Nice review thanks GR 👍 I got a pair of torrent 2 , i use them for races max 30kms because yes the comfort is not prioritized on those shoes 😅. The lugs are very fragile and easily destroy on rocks, I have to glue them back after each race, however the rest of the shoes is really robust. I clocked almost 300kms of races and they are still ready for the next one 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️
I definitely thought the 3 was at least a little wider than the 2? I think I prefer the fit of the Challenger ATR overall but I think I could actually wear the the 3. The 2…. That was not gonna happen!
So glad to hear you say 'OK up to Half Marathon'. Love the Torrents for anything up to a half marathon but after that I need more cushioning (and turn to my Mafates). I'm 80kg, maybe Ultras for someone considerably lighter, but not me! Will definitely get a pair when my Torrent 2s expire.
I kept seeing Hokas around Helena and got a pair. I should've gone the more maximal route! These are cool though. They are definitely light. Have you ever done Adidas Terrex reviews?
