hi guys! this winter has been weird and warm so I figured why not head to the beach? We took a train over to Korea's east sea to one of my favorite places, Gangneung! We basically just walk around and eat since the city is famous for two of my favorite things - dubu and coffee (and pine trees?! can a city be too perfect?!) and I hope you enjoy^^

Cari, I'm finally in Korea! I'm quarantining in Gangseo right now, right by the Han river, I could not be happier. 4-5 months as an exchange student is way too short to explore all that Seoul has to offer, but I sure am gonna try! Gangneung. Wondered if you were gonna pass by the BTS bench and you did!!! Would really love to go there, not just the bench, hehe. The cafe with the vintage photos on the walls too, that was cool. Is dubu just tofu in Korean? I need to read on that. I’m usually not a fan of unsweetened tofu but hey I’m willing to try it. South Korea has so much more up her sleeve. Wish tourists can enter soon. I liked how they used scale to their advantage at the museum exhibits which really worked with the mirrored pieces and even the Monets. Really great effect! And what is it about the seaside that makes it so charming even in the winter? I can imagine the air was nice and fresh which went along with the views really well

this winter has actually been really warm! some days have felt like spring :') but for colder days my main tips are to buy warm tights (not the normal ones, get ones with a fuzzy inside!) and to always cover your ears with something like a hat or headband!

What a lovely trip ❤ so much amazing footage and food 😍 from just one day trip. Gosh I wish I could travel like that right now. Did you bring a tripod for filming, or for the photography. You often film with your iPhone but then you also film your iPhone with another device ^^. May I ask what kind of camera you use for your RU-vid videos?

i usually don’t like the beach irl except in winter when it’s windy and cold and there’s no one around so this was perfect, also looove beaches with trees around, that combo is really pretty and calming. As usual this one day trip was lovely, thank you for showing us this and giving me inspo for when i have a day off, i can go somewhere outside the city and just recharge for a few hours. Idk what to focus on..the gorgeous!!! art museum, dubu, wings bus stop, puppies, sea snow and sea ducks, the rocky beach the tidepool and the most beautiful blue sea... I want to go meet the sea and eat dubu. We have something similar with dairy but we eat it sweet and mainly when we're sick I want to try it like dubu. Thanks for the trip

Honestly what I like about your videos is that they all are full of passive or active explorations, you're making sure that you will always have that quality and healing time for yourself and honestly that is refreshing and very inspiring.
