I love Christmas time,. especially when i was young , it wasnt the gifts it was the whole aphomsphere, the lights the decoration s trees, dad leaving sherry & carrots out for santa & his reindeers ( HOW I MISS OUR BEAUTIFUL DAD, HE LOVED US GIRLS BLESS HIM 🙏) MORESO IT WAS YHE CHRISTMAS LUNCH THE QUEENS SPEACH, FILMS ETC..TIMES HABE CHANGED , HOW I WISH I COULD GO.BACK IN TIME. I Thank god for me being able to libe during such times & thank you for taking me back a decade before i wsd born..🙏

Hi Stephen, thank you for this one. I was born in January 1958, two weeks after Christmas. Whilst listening to this story, I was imagining what was happening in in north east England and my Irish mammy in particular as she neared the end of her pregnancy with me. It very moving to think of "events" in New York at the same time as Mam's experience. A different time, a different world. Just play any of these...they work anytime! Set your alarm. If you cannot find a sleep story in the daytime ...you can find Steve Dalton on Google w. All his stories to choose from. I do it all the time! Disclaimer! Do not listen to them while driving! They are Not for just relaxing... THEY ARE FOR SLEEPING! I intend to take my earphones to the dentist when I have conscious sedation...just to "seal the deal"!!! They also have a comfort dog that will sit in your lap if you want her too! I can use All of it...I hate dental work!

I love these story as it puts me to sleep fairly quickly, however there’s a clicking sound in the music that wakes me up again. Then even listening to a different story. Have a hard time falling back to sleep.

Thank you. 💕 I just did wake up in actual fact 👉 I did plan on doing short 😻. nap at 9pm for1 hour only 👉but I slept right through. 💕 Today I do behaving myself on all levels and I do getting ready for whatever will happen next and I do jobs in the flat where I live and do all of that. 🤩

Beautiful read ❤ That was my time 1957 But in England North Newcastle When we had proper winters for months Always white Christmas We had coal fire A tree branch for Christmas tree Orange wrapped up in news paper for presents ❤ Mother told me about the Jack frost coming to see us on Christmas eve??? Stayed up all night Never did see Jack frost That was child happiness Would be nice telling us a magical Christmas about Jack frost Young children will love it Street wise tal..........

Love this story and all your stories. I keep listening to some of your older stories, and I liked how you used to do each part of the body relaxation exercises. Like...relax the feet, then the legs, the hips, etc.

I do love your stories, really I do however and it’s a big but for me, when you finish the story and let the sound effects take over for the balance on your clock, I can’t tell if it’s rain, snow or a fireplace. Also, the switch from your voice to these effects always wakes me up. Is it possible for you to do any stories that are non stop and back to back without the sounds in between?

What a lovely ending! Maybe one day you could do a winter or Christmas story set here in Canada. After all, we're a snowy, winter country, for much of the year. 🙂 And there's lots of great settings here for stories, too, like where I live, on the prairies, or in the old parts of cities such as Montreal or Quebec - they have things there such as beautiful winding cobblestone streets.

I'm watching this now, my dad is in heaven now, bless him, he always used to tell the stories from 1947 , in Ireland , there was a big freeze, he always say how he was the youngest child, he had the smallest hands, was his job to get out the potatoes and the cabbages amongst the drills, he always used to say how he remembers the bits on the mouths of the horses would be frozen on their way home from town. My late mom, used to say when they were growing up in Ireland was very hard times, was nothing like Christmas now, they be lucky get an orange, or a pencil or a copybook in their stockings, hard times.

Oh, sweetie! I'm so sorry this season is so hard for you. I try to just focus on what and who I have in my life now. I remember when life was simpler and all the people I love were still here but those days are gone now so I have accepted my life for what it is now and hold every moment dear. This time of year is hard for a lot of us but with gratitude and love in our hearts we can make it through. I hope your heart will feel better soon . Hi Caroline, I grew up in a small town in northern Ontario Canada, and a very big family. However, both of our parents have passed and it’s not the same anymore. My siblings all have their own lives and live in different parts of Canada. Even my own children are grown and are busy and don’t always have time to visit at Christmas. However, I could be very sad and disappointed. I am a little bit. The local fire department always does A toy drive, so I always pick out a couple of toys that some poor child might not get other wise. Christmas morning I wake up to my cats and my new puppy, and then I will be off to one of the churches with the community centre that puts on a hot Christmas dinner for those that can’t afford it. It makes me feel better and not some of them. So this year I hope you can find some loving your heart and do something nice for someone else. You never know it might make you feel better.
