I have dvd,blu ray 3d but super 8 mm is my favorite . I buy super 8 films sometimes and saturday night enjoy watching films in super 8. I hope kodak and hollywood industry give us new super 8 films
Here in Germany most films and I mean pre-recorded ones (Package Movies) like Looney Tunes movies had magnetic sound and after I heard some Super-8 optical sound I'm glad that they did it that way.
I remember Derran films and 8mm sound very well. Out of sync sound, distorted with wow and flutter, no HF. Lots of drop outs. Would not have missed it for the world.
+Michael Beeny Hi Mike, we still collect super 8 today, those days of all those things you mention were a long time ago, you should see the stuff they put out after 1980, top prints, great stereo sound, cinemascope, & its all still going as good now as it did back then. Wish they were still in business.
Kodak really needs to bring back the 200ft sound cartridge. Cause it sounds to me like you can get a lot more footage out of that kind of cartridge than the 50ft one that can only do 3 min on 18fps or 2 min on 24fps.
I use super 8 to this day and still want to stripe the film and add the sound via projector I have digital software editing and cameras but always super 8 calls me back started collecting package movies I wonder if someone may come up with a projector scanner that could use the new led lights just an idea.
