Your personality is just so goofy and sweet that you brighten my day, Lexi ☺️ I hope grad school is going well, whatever library you end up working at is gonna be so lucky to have you 💜💜💜
I love that you go all out on your theme and decor 🥀🖤 I'm obsessed with books about libraries and bookish topics. I want to see a whole video of your bookish book recs 🖤📚
LEXI!!!! That intro was amazing and SO COOL! 😍👻🎃 I’m stunned by how freaking cool that was. I recently hauled some graphic novels! I got Beetle & the Hollowbones, Fake Blood, and Warren the 13th and the All Seeing Eye.
The book Les misérables is way darker than the musical, and the ending especially is very different... I love Victor Hugo, but I think my favorite book from him is Notre-Dame-de-Paris ❤️ Happy reading !
Wow thats so cool other people have reccomended something wicked, and thank you for picking it up! I feel like its the forgotten child that doesnt get the love it deserves.
I'm currently reading the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and it is just so amazing. I think everything listed on my October TBR is from your channel and I'm really loving the spooky season because of you 💖💖 you're my serotonin when I'm stressed over schoolworks 😂💕 Sending all the looooove I can give 💖
Spooky book rec: The Companion by Katie Alender. It has a creepy mansion, creepy messages on the wall, an orphan being taken in by a rich "perfect" family, and a mysterious dead family member.
Yes, The Haunting of Hill House show is scary, BUT it’s absolutely worth it! They aren’t cheap jump scares, everything has a purpose. The story itself is beautiful and heartbreaking and I guarantee you will fall in love with the characters. I was scared to watch it too at first but after getting through it once, I’ve rewatched it SO many times and it’s now one of my all time favourite shows. 10/10 highly recommend!!!!!!!
I agree! It's one of the most beautiful series I've ever seen. Initially I thought it would be just a horror story but it turned out to be so much deeper than that! Loved it so much💕
The Haunting of hill house is such a boring book.. but it's not scary so you'll be fine! I am buying A deadly education because it sounds so amazing! Everyone has been recommending it this month!
I just finished Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman today... it is one of my favourite books I have ever read and completely different from the movie! The movie strays very far from the storyline of the book, though I absolutely adore both. I would definitely suggest it for your TBR!
I don't get scared easy so maybe it is just me but The Haunting of Hill House isn't that scary. Sometimes the trailers make it worse than it is. The show is more about focusing on these characters and how what happened in their youth affects them as adults. Also, the book is very different from the show. Like, they took the concept and did their own thing with it. Also, A Peculiar Peril sounds amazing and I've added it to my TBR.
If you like gothic literature you might like the flowers in the attic series by VC Andrews , I am trying to get all of the books to I can read them all because I picked up one in the series recently not knowing it was part of a trilogy in the big series
The Netflix show The Haunting of Hill house is nothing like the subject matter. The only thing similar is the title really. The show and the book are 2 totally different stories.
That intro is EVERYTHING✨👻 I just read Thirteens and it was so atmospheric and spooky and it's actually pitched as Coraline meets Stranger Things which I just absolutely love!😁 I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
Same! Here' my TBR books with libraries: - The Invisible Library - The Library of the Unwritten - Archived (read) - Sorcery of Thorns - The Midnight Library - Strange the Dreamer (I think) Did I miss anything???
Love the vibes in your videos!! And I just got The Invisible Life of Addie Larue in my Book of the Month box I’m so excited! Have you tried that subscription?
Haha, the Haunting of Hill House is not that scary! But if you think it would be too much for you, you should try watching the Haunting of Bly Manor first - that's definitely less scary, and you might build up enough courage afterwards to watch Hill House!
Here are some others to add! Venus in the Blind Spot (Junji Ito) The Daughters of Ys by M. T. Anderson Anatomicum by Jennifer Z Paxton Daughter of Black Lake: A Novel by Cathy Marie Buchanan The Historian: by Elizabeth Kostova
The haunting of Hill house series on Netflix is horrifying but addicting. I hate horror but I liked this show. Kept me on edge but *TRIGGER WARNING* for suicide, self harm, death, gore, blood, drug abuse****
I’m going broke from booktube’s recommended spooky books... I’m reading Coraline for the first time and I just finished The Sun Down Motel. I thought it was good, not a big new twist, but good.
I cannot WAIT for you to read Something Wicked This Way Comes!! Just read the first page and I think you'll be hooked. The October vibes are EVERYTHING
Hi Lexi, thanks for the book haul! I just wanted to let you know that you might want to look into the controversy around Naomi Novik and a deadly education before jumping in.
I’m reading the third Percy Jackson book and love it so much I really want to pick up the invisible life of addie larue I really want to read books by V.E Schwab
