Every time I watch this video I cry because I've been a fan since the club started, seeing the team always exit the first or second round of the playoffs to now we won it, is a dream come true.
What an amazing moment. As a founding member born and raised in the BX and being at Portland that day was such an amazing experience. I am truly lucky to be part of this. I had my jersey signed at the post party and I'm going to frame. Never to be worn again. I can't wait to tell this to my kids. From day one. My local team. Wow.
I still get chills anytime I see clips from the finals. I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life. The trip to Portland was life changing to say the least.
I wish more mls teams could have a media team as good as nycfc. so cinematic and high quality. congrats on the title btw, hopefully bringing the cup home brings the beautiful game to the front of everybodys attention in nyc
my respects the club has taken seriously the game. Instead of bringing a bunch to retire players, they focus on building a team that does the job regardless of the player were super start in the past.
As a founding member and a native new yorker, I can't stress how much this means. All the ups and downs with this club, and there have been many downs; all the miscalculations by FO as far as what kind of team we should be, all the hate thrown our way for playing in a stadium or being associated with mancity....all of that makes this victory all the more sweeter. I can't pretend that this is the tale of david versus goliath. Our pockets are too deep to be called the little guy, but it was absolutely an up hill battle because deep pockets will not get you the cup. You have to win it. Fight for it. As a team. We did it. Without any big name players. Some very inexperienced. Some arguably passed their prime. But we did it. New York is blue. Jersey Red Bulls, sit your assess down and use your supporters' shields to catch your tears. Cosmos, your body is 6 ft under and we're building a shopping mall over your grave. New York is Blue.

From a life long ptfc fan we had a great season but NYCFC had an even better and a very well deserved win for them hopfully they can stop playing on a shit field and earn some well deserved respect
i mean like, its an mls cup, if somebody from europe went and played in the mls in their prime, yk how many cups he could win for the team he plays in, ex: messi, ronaldo, neymar, all these players would make the mls look like the shithousery it truly is
I'm not a fan of soccer but I do have some friends who love the champions league and the big difference between european fans and nyc fans is that we do have a lot of fat and we still proud of it XD
We got a lot of Ecuadorians in the fanbase, mostly from Guayaquil (I'm one of the few exceptions, I'm not from Ecuador but my mother is, born in Quito, grew up in Cuenca).

I remember being so bummed watching their show the next week and checking their social media and they didn't say ANYTHING about the win! A New York City-based team won a major championship - a team from the BRONX, no less - and they didn't say anything about it!!
