You're not kidding. I remember sitting in study hall my senior year in high school listening to this on CD. Discovered them at a local music festival called "MacRock" (Mid-Atlantic-College Rock festival)... I'll never forget those good times.
Me and my friends loved these guy's back then when we were into the whole scene thing. They were a great underrated band, their first album is absolutely killer.
Hahaha I can tell you were really there for it just by the fact that you called it the "scene". That was word for it at the time. Everyone wanted to get into and be a part of the scene lol, then a few years later everyone was ragging on "scene kids" and eventually emo kiddies. This band was a great and very memorable part of that experience, however.
I knew this band when i was 16, and omg, i loved it! All my shitty days went away when i listened this guys. GREAT TIMES!!! I'm 30 rn and i still love this band!!!
glad to see i'm not the only one who still loves this album...they had such talent, amazing musicianship and song writing...and the drums...ohhh the drums!!! seems that good things don't last long...this applies to so many bands of this time it's quite sad...Finch...Glassjaw...Hopesfall...so much potential!!! love to you all x ...Lipgloss is the best song though...isn't it?
man, i fucking love this song. so many bittersweet memories. i saw these guys every chance i got when i lived in phoenix. joe brown gave me a badass jason (friday the 13th) shirt when they were on the road with silverstein. i remember i asked him once how the fk does he scream like that? and he replied that the screams came from his balls - hahahaha. at one show, there wasn't many people so he chilled with my friends and i. he was wasted!!! loved this scene. still a banger in 2019.
when I was in a band back when I was 17... me and my friends would warm up to this song... we sounded just like them. I loved this band so much, their albums after ADFTB were quite disappointing.
