In this bonus episode recorded this week, Mark talks about the first Keto style diet he was ever given. He was a teenager, and the coach who gave it to him only let him have meat and water at first. This coach (Ron Fedkiw), is a brilliant mathematician, is now Stanford professor, and has an Oscar for special effects technology. Back in the day, his bench press stats were beyond impressive.
We talk about why some diet strategies seem to work better at certain times and for certain people. Mark has lost roughly 35-40 lbs recently, and talks about the conditioning workouts he's been doing lately.
Finally, we reminisce about the time in 2011 when Donnie Thompson trained at Super Training during his quest to break the all-time multi-ply squat and total records. Included at the end of the episode is a short interview what was recorded at the time. It's from a RU-vid video Jim produced titled, "Nobody Gives a Damn About Your Squat."
