When I think of Winx Club I think of fantasy, futurism, and fashion. They had 8 seasons and 3 animated movies of source material to work with, but the writing is super lazy and lackluster, the styling is boring and dull, and the character development is shallow. Netflix served mediocrity and white washing at the same time.

Them all having English accents and Bloom being American reminds me of House of Anubis hahahaha

I was able to somewhat enjoy the show if I completely separated it from the cartoon. It feels like any other fantasy teen drama. It has some potential, but they did make some *terrible* adaptation choices.

Your outfit and roasting is the only thing making it worth watching this show even cut up into bite size amounts. It’s atrocious how bad the outfits are. It isn’t just that the colors suck, it’s that they don’t even suit the actresses bodies. They aren’t recreating anything from the show either. Also Beatrix= Be a Trix, because they couldn’t afford to have 3 interesting antagonists much less the one we currently have. Also, also the original show was so unbalanced with the whole witches v fairies but also specialists are just kind of there but not having any powers. I kind of wish they had cut them so we could focus on the female characters without stupid boy drama.

as a major pop girl kid growing up, winx being a major player in my tv line up from ages 7 to 11, I actually didn't hate Fate. The make-up and wardrobe? trash. Dialogue? Inconsistent. Whitewashing? Inexcusable! The intrigue plot wise for me didn't kick in till half way through and I actually didn't fully like it till the finale and then it was over. I'm so mixed on this show! Comparing to the source material the casting was bad, but that cast was still good?? idk... I wish I could make up my mind better!!!

The outfits are just horrible. Winx Clubs was the mashing of 90's and 2000s fashion. Poor Terra and Stella's outfits were horrible. Bloom's outfit I think in episode 2 or 3, a red crop top with high waisted jeans was the only cute thing there.

Oh so disappointed in this adaptation, they had such a wide range of ideas to work with Winx club! The most important thing is the lack of diversity when the show was one of the few shows back then to have such diversity. I’m hoping that when Flora comes ( her and are Helia my favorite) she is at least hispanic. They did Musa wrong, but I like how they made her an empath which can explain why she feels music so well. Where tf are my Trix girls!? I’m all for entanglements but why does it have to be Stelllaaa!? They could’ve created a character , same with riven I’m sensing his character will go more toward the LGBTQ storyline but that was Musa’s man! This was just so cheaply made, from the projection of the graphics, TO THE FREAKN STYLING!(omg none of r girls would be caught in these outfits) from the acting to the storyline of the specialist they had no good cool weapons or devices,To the music. Ughhh I won’t be watching more (maybe until Another season come out and if it looks slightly better) lol everything u felt I was feeling too!

i loved the show when i was growing up. i really didn't like the trailer but went in with an open mind to watch it. in the beginning i wasn't sure about it still. but arround ep 3 or 4 i was hooked and kind of ok with what the show was doing and changed. and at the end i was invested and wanted to know more about the world and most of them. i think one has to go with the idea that it's only inspired by the og series not an adaptation.. still wanna see Flora and Tecna.. and even tho Musa is not an full on asian, the actress imbodies her really good in my opinion..

Overall the show made me think of vampire academy... I get what they tried to do overall but there were certain character elements that just urked me a bit... Also Alfea and the specialist school are not the same place. All things considered it was ok as long as you let it be its own thing inspired by winx. There was just enough to fit with Winx esque vibes but it definitly leaned too much into teen angst. Im intreagued enough to keep watching if they make another season but again you have to treat it less as a true to form adaptation and more something that takes a very basic idea of winx and ran with thier own ideas.

I told my friends that not every show has to be dark or gritty. Not every YA show has to be like Riverdale or Sabrina 😅 I ended up liking the show and I think it'll get better. I hope that they develop the friendship more on the next season because their friendship felt superficial this season.

Not only did they fuck up on the casting, the fashion, the show's ambiance, but the main draw of winx for a lot of us was the girl squad. the fate saga girls are clearly friends of convenience who are tolerating each other. I wanted to see positive female friendships, not enemies turned friends.

One of the worst parts is trying so hard to be edgy that they swear, get drugged up and talk about sex all the time. They were just trying so hard! Ughhhhh

The thing that annoys me the most (other then the fashion) is that none of the girls seem like genuine friends, friends don’t act like that and they completely ruined Stella.

I’m not an expert on the source material but from what I know, isn’t this supposed to be a colorful and cheerful series? It’s on par with The Last Airbender or Dragonball Evolution in terms of bad adaptations.

As someone who had NEVER watched the winx club and had no prior knowledge to the winx club, I loved the winx saga due to the fact that I was not viewing it as an adaption.

I don’t even know where to begin to complain about it. It’s just some vibes and the names are same, everything else is pretty much a different show. All the characters are so mean spirited and bitchy and sad ish it’s so annoying. The fashion , I’m so sad about. None of the characters true to how they are in the cartoon. Didn’t even included all characters ugh. There was so much more lore that a cartoon didn’t need to go that hard for that they could have taken from. All the relationships with the winx and their parents wasn’t the same or even similar , that was weird, didn’t hate the more realistic sometimes strained relationships with parents, but so far where I’m up to none of the key parents are getting mentioned so I guess they don’t exist, which means so much of the plot lines around eg, musa, and stella won’t exist. Aisha doesn’t get to come in like a badass with her big plot backstory ?? Stella and Bloom not friends? I don’t know where to beginnnnnnnn

In the original show, the whole StellaXSky thing was weird at the start. Brandon and Sky switched identities in public to protect Sky from assassination and so Stella thought she was dating the prince only to find out later he was a squire

I'm such a big fan of Winx Club. The Fate still worth the watch though even it's so different from the cartoons. It's not amazing but there's something about turning the og into live action that fascinated me. Just give the show a chance.

What I really like is that the winx have so many transformations hahaha I really live for the music during the transformations.

I am so so disappointed they did this, but knowing re-makes and re-boots and movies based off of books.. I knew it was going to be bad. The thing that triggered me when I first saw it was the white-washing. Flora, Musa, Aish, and Tecna are all my favorite characters. Flora is replaced, Musa doesn't have the right representation, Aisha is just a side-character that comforts everyone, and Tecna doesn't exist makes me really sad. Aish isn't the sporty tuff girl I know in this show. The second thing is their outfits are HIDEOUS, I have never seen girls with this much bad fashion taste 😂And the third is their personalities are all off, and the fact they are all mean to each other and Stella is a bish, they are supposed to be friends right away and click. There is no such thing as that, I can go on and on about how I hate this, but those are the three things I hate the most. It's so much like Riverdale it's disgusting they shouldn't have called it "Winx" in the first place they are NOT fairies, they are just people with powers without wings, I'm sorry. They might as well just have different names and characters cause It's nothing like the original at all. I am re-watching the winx again, and yeah cleansing myself and just pretending this doesn't exist 😅 The plot is so predictable and people have said that the plot twists weren't exciting at all. There are too many things that make this show super unappealing, I also hate the dark depressing boring aesthetic. Not to mention there is no Trix🤦🏼‍♀️ (These are all facts I got from articles and other people, I have not watch the show and won't waste my time)

I think i don´t have to adress the whitewashing that was the very first bad thing:D The BIGGEST problem for me: Most of the conversations in this series where so clichee and so forced to be for the `teeny audience`. They used only clichees: of the girl which is an outsider or the blond mean girl or the insecure plus size girl. The S++ and drug scenes were also unnecessary and clichee. I also couldn´t stand the fact that the `friendship` happend immediately without having any good bonding scene and all the girls except for stella were immediately `besties`. Without knowing eachother the girls were glued to Bloom like she was the most important person. Bloom did literally NOTHING to be friends with the girls. If she was bitchy she justified it with `i am not like you, i dont know who my parents are...`. They all had to listen to her Problem 24/7. If I remember correctly she didn´t lost a word of Encouragement when Aisha had difficulties with her water power. She also wasn´t interessted in Musas or Terras `love Problems. ( I get that Bloom is the main fairy of some sort but in Fate the world revolves only around Bloom. btw this is no hate only my opinion. I think the actresses did all a pretty good job except for Blooms actress in some anger scenes) In my opinion they ruined most of the characters. Bloom shouldn´t be SO annoying whiney and selfish- She annoyed me from beginning till the end. Stella should be funny and stylish but was also bitchy. I also didn´t like the love triangle with sky. Musa was okey. Aisha was waayyy to friendly and way to fixed at Bloom in my opinion. I had the feeling that Aisha would do anything to be friends with Bloom and Bloom was always bitchy to her. I was surprised I liked Terra the most the only thing I disliked was, that they portrayed her as the typical insecure girl and they adressed to often the plus-size topic. The outfits are a total no-go in my opinion. The story developed way too fast. They rushed the friendship and also the love topic. As I said before most conversations were awfully scripted. And the characters didn´t act like normal people they trusted and bonded to fast and also they didn´t question a thing. For example SPOILER Bloom trusted Beatrix and Rosalind immediately Sky found out something important and no reaction They found out what really happend in the village and then it was right away okey to kill them all. I am disappointed and had to rant somewhere lol Like I said: Only my opinion guys

The winx saga is terrible. They missed to many characters, they dim every character to be base, the characters in this show where awful. They got ride of the tricks the main antagonist and they messed up there powers, not mention they completely didn’t even add Tecna.

I know you might be disappointed, but it's not supposed to be like the original cartoon, its a reimagining, not a reboot. It kept some elements the same, but changed others, if you want the original then go watch it, but what's the point of recreating something and making it the same? I think the constant transformations and glittery outfits would be too hard to include with this budget and just not fit with the vibe of Fate, some things are just better left to an animated medium. I think you should see this as a different show, seperate from the original, it was only then I actually appreciated it for what it was, but if you don't like YA fantashy shows, this probably isn't for you. But all in all, I really enjoyed the show, minus the white-washing, but the cast has said it'll be fixed by next season. The british accents are just cause it was cast in the UK though lol. It gets better though towards the end, im excited for the other reactions.

You know what, it's not at all a pile of hot trash in my opinion. If people got what they expected based on the animated series about the transformation scene, stella's fashion, their magic etc. It would honestly be so boring. it's so predictable. i think some people expected a lot of "usual" and "stereotypical" things from this series without realizing that as a producer of course they had to stir things up. they had to change it and give something unexpected to people in that way it's not gonna be so boring and predictable. this series is actually so good. for a series that a lot of people know, it's so creative and so original in its own way. It's really a re-imagined winx world and it's effective because i'm a fan of winx club since i was a kid and this series intriged me and basically made me crave for more of it. Like for example, bloom's fairy wings it's actually more like it. Fairies are technically mythical spirit creatures, so for bloom's wings to appear like that which it suddenly fades is very much like it instead going with the expected typical hybrid looking human and butterfly and voila new outfit. No. This has a different target audience and to create this kind of re-imagined winx world and actually become successful in making people tune in and crave for more of it, it means they're successful. honestly, i like the story twists, it's so unexpected. i didn't expect farah to die on season 1. it's super exciting. and they're very good the series is actually embracing diversity. not everyone had to be skinny and barbie types. they showed being a woman in all shapes and sizes and embraced it and stand for the characters that were represented in such a stereotypical ways in cartoon.

I really enjoyed the show though!!! But I do have to say that I really started enjoying it when I separated it from the cartoons. If I wouldn't have done that, then I would be certainly pissed because as an adaptation, it's not really accurate. I didn't mind about the outfits being like that. But overall though I still enjoyed it and I think it has potential.

I was OBSESSED with the original show, I had the gameboy games, the dolls, the PC game, books, coloring books, everything and I have to say I’m also absolutely obsessed with the new Winx as well! I was disappointed when I saw the trailer as well but it was disappointing on purpose almost because in the final episode it shows them in much cuter outfits and Bloom transforms and gets wings and I loved it so much!

It gets me so annoyed when people expect for a show or a movie to explain everything or to go to the exact detail as a previous show or book, *you should expect for them to make changes* As much as I liked the show of it's relationships and people's self image. It's terribly basic when it comes to magic, the in-depth and common sense between characters. The magic in Vampire Diaries was at least grounding and partly logical when it comes to how to conjure. OMG don't even get me started on the character types we see all the time, in Bloom, misunderstood and anger issues and the mean girl-Beatrix- insecurities/ inner wounds and takes it out on others. Annoying as hell, the first trailer got me interested but after thinking about it after finishing the show, you can spot the mishaps all over the place.
