The amount of time this video took is crazy, i edit videos in ae and to only edit a 45 sec video it takes me 3 days 🤦🏻 this guy is a prodigy amongst editors, good job!
This video is really great and has a lot of good information. The only feedback I have is that sometimes it feels like too much editing is being done to the point that I forget what I’m learning.
@@joseph2918 Bro fr! You are killing it! But bro also think about yourself. This kinda editing is an energy drainer for a long form videos(RU-vid) So try to make yourself rest man.
@@kerhabplays ah Yeah I did the editing myself up to this video but now it's just editors that are working on them, and yeah we give them as much time as possible, we literally give them 30 days and if they need more time we also offer that too so dw it's all good :)
I made a retention focused edit with a lot of transitions, sound effects etc (not as advanced as this video), and it was not nearly as well received as videos where I kept them minimal. It's weird, but I have seen many large youtubers say people are moving away from this style.
well we do hope so because even us as content creators don't enjoy this high retention style, having to always worry about the viewer staying for the rest of the video is backfiring and making us provide less value and more entertainment
@VenusHere It's $47 a month. I would really recommend it because it's packed with courses and all the useful resources you need as an editor. Joseph did an amazing job at it.

This type of video editing is like a machine gun. This really works most on videos explaining marketing techniques or strategies but I think you should slow down when you are creating tutorials. But I really like your editing style and will surely practice it. This still gives me a lot of ideas. Thanks for this.
Your skills are great mate, however one thing I learned from dealing with a lot of clients is just the simplicity, yes they want their videos to be heavily edited but at the same time just simple, I see you're overediting, that is fine for you of course you want to show your editing skills to gain more clients, but try to focus more on the tutorial rather than the editing itself, I'll be following your channel, since your content is very good.
Yea, it is so fast tha't i cant understand a thing. I have to stop the video all the time to see what have you done in that 0,5s :D And sfx and music is too loud. I nearly can't hear what are you saying..
As everyone said in the comments that you overedited that's true but I am truly amazed and inspired by your skills. Please make a tutorial that can be easily understood and if possible make it step by step. Thankyou bro
Bro, SICK! I already learned a lot, 1.)The direct J cuts edit to always when you stop speaking is super efficent and doesnt only make your video less long (more likely to get clicked on) but also boosts engagement 2.)Cutting yourself out and cloning it for making 3D Effect, I always asked myself how tf people do this so thanks really much! (the 3d blur is epic too) 3.)cutting out someone popular and give them a black overlay until you reveal the clue and then BAM show who was talking -> engagement boost of video and you. 4.)Layer Effects and animating are also super overpowered for Top 0.1% content. Thanks man I really try to use your tipps, maybe not directly copy your style 1to1 but heres a lot of information inside I need to say Thats top tier. 1 thing I'm burning to know is how long you have for such a video? 2-3 days or rather 1 week? Also Do you use after effects at all and if yes for what? Greetings from Switzerland G 💯👏🚀
This editing style is too exhausting to watch. I know how much effort you've put into this, probably more than 60 hours of editing. But it stimulates too much I think haha. great job btw!
@@joseph2918 the thing is if you slow it down then you will not be enjoying while making it is like having a super power but you have no one to fight against so please do what you love and feels right for you
There are alot of cool techniques here individually and you are a great editor. But I think this comical Finzar style of editing will get oversaturated pretty quickly
its really great .when i found your video first I saw all of you videos , and really I wait for your videos, if i have money I may join your community !
Of course, I understand everything and the dynamics in the video decide, but the dynamino doesn’t need to be mounted so much that I don’t have time to see anything other than what was actually in the frame. I didn't understand anything but it's very interesting
Your background music and sound effects are louder than your voice, making them harder to understand. It is overly edited. Your storytelling is not professional as well.
yeah its just ear rape of sfx, video hard to even watch spamming sfx, memes and presets to over compensate for lack of content and quality, the short editor way
Appart from the video being completely annoying and having no retention/learning value, the dude is copying everything finzar does and it's just not funny
Your style is the fastest pace I've seen and the visuals are engaging too. I wonder how much can be templated. Also, why do you prefer Premiere to DaVinci Resolve? I've heard that a lot of people were switching to it.
yeah I know the style is sometimes too quick, I personally prefer premiere because it contains all the plugins you'll need to create these high quality edits and it's much faster than davinci
i wish the video was a little bit slower cuz its realy hard to keep up with what you are saying, i mean its a toturial right? doesnt have to be so fast. but at last wanted to thank you cuz i learned from this video and i wish you the best
Bro appreciate your editing skills seriously and i wanted to learn from you more but thought twice before buying the course as i lost focus with this one so i guess i will lose it too in the course videos...
nah the courses are unedited recordings of me just speaking to the camera, because on youtube I actually have to keep it entertaining and keep you engaged but with the course we take our time explaining things
Its just too fast for me man, I'm an old fart though but I very much respect your editing because its some of the best ive seen in a while I just cannot for the life of me keep up with you.
@@joseph2918 You're legit insane at editing man - I'm very much new to editing I know you've been doing it for a while. But I'm watching second by second seeing exactly what you're doing. Bezier keyframes are awesome.
effects take up most of the time, I call the process visualizing and it takes around 75% of the time of the video, so if a video took me 120 hours effects takes around 80 hours or 2 weeks of work
You're Editing Style Is Total Mindblowing Work. Way To Faster For This Video. If You Edited This Style For Any Other Video It Would Be Perfect. But,For This Educational Purpose It's Over Edited. Btw, I am so, inspired. One Day I'll Reach Your Standard 🔥. Where Should I Start? I Completed Watching RU-vid Tutorial And I Know Every Tools In Premier Pro. Then What Should i Do Next?
i thought that was really dope editing, but then couldn;t keep up with how fast everything was moving. Slowing it down a touch would feel more effective and easier to follow along. But wicked editing none the less.
Bro no offence but this type of retention editing is what's frying so many peoples minds and ruining attention spans. Yes graphics and transitions are fun and it's so cool to see the creativity but as an editor myself I had clients even telling me they wanted less of the editing in their videos. Less is more in my opinion, less time you're spending on a video too but I really appreciate the huge amount of effort that you put into this. Just something I thought I'd share.
100% I'm actually looking forward to switching to a different editing style a calmer one, one that is just as beautiful but calmer and more educational totally
@@joseph2918 Damm I'm an editor too and working with RU-vidrs in India with over Millions of subs and I also got 3 years of experience But there's always a guy like you who teaches me that there's a billion of things to improve and learn From the bottom of my heart ❤ love u man... Chin up..
texhinally the video is very good. But it is very messy and very difficult to get the stories you are telling. so take both things balanced so video won't look over edited that goes out of context and out of the sense for the message you are delivering.
Your edit is amazing and you have a great talent, but man, it is so fast and there is too much things shown in a very short period of time. Even though I want to be able to edit like you, I am not able to finish the video. I get dizzy after one minute of watching and have to pause the video and look away from the screen.
Do your courses from ultimate editors also teach this in fast paced? Where its really impossible to learn anything or do you teach there with a lot of care?
oh no in ultimate editors it's unedited videos🤣 these videos here are more focused on entertainment and yeah I get you they get annoying after a while but the community courses are long un edited course purely focused on education
for me who doesnt need 4 videos of gta stunts, minecraft bhop maps and subway surfer onto the actual video... this editing is giving me a headache. too fast paced and theres so much movement and things happening that i can just not follow it anymore.
bro u edited this tutorials video which suppose to be lesson . cant understand anything fully filled with effects its good to watch but cannot understand anything
amazing edit. Had a question, for someone looking to break into the industry, how important is it to learn both After Effects and Premiere Pro in parallel in your perspective? For instance, how frequently do u use AE when editing, either for RU-vid/Client work?
well back when I posted this video it used to be that mastering premiere pro is enough but nowadays the market is extremely demanding and hyper competitive therefore knowing both premiere pro and after effects is in my opinion crucial to growing as an editor!
There is a point a point where these videos just get so fast and jarring that u cant even tell what ur trying to teach. sorry man, as an editor myself yes you have put a lot of effort but you lost the objective of the video in the process.
Hey man, love your style. I think I'd have a ton I could learn from breaking this down. But I don't think I should have to break it down. I would get a fuck ton more value out of this if you'd slow down a bit and do more of a 1:1 live editing type of thing. I get that this is content for you as well, however many (myself included) won't keep watching if we can barely see what's going on
got you 100% I actually fully broke it down and it took me a whole lot of time to build that course on it, which is why this had to be fast paced, think of trying to show a process that takes 28 days within 10 minutes, it's quite difficult, but that's why I take my time in the course
@@joseph2918 Can you please please please make a video on How can we increase our "SHOW NOT TELL" mentality... I know how to pace my video & I can make a super engaging intro also but after that I suck... So can you please make a video.
@@ItzAdityaTrader I'll be sure to make something about it in the future but it's a huge topic I had to cover it in a whole bunch of courses so not sure how easy it would be
Way too much animation, this is what I call over animating! As a person with 7 years of animation, I can tell this is over animation. And tutorials should be simple and clear! Yes, it is fun to watch but hard to learn with this speed. I'm more impressed with your 3D layers effects than anything. Good luck with your project.
I have been breaking my head for months trying to figure out the music you used in 00:49 and 01:45 by the way good editing. May be too much editing but regardless probably the best editing I’ve seen in a long time. I use Final Cut Pro so I only wish I can do something similar. Anyway can you please tell me the names of those songs! 😩😩😩
